We started a tradition of going strawberry picking about 4 years ago, however this was my first time at Mitcham Farm. It's about 30 minutes from home which is a win! I was pleased with the amount of strawberries and they were delicious. The dessert options available in the market were perfect - Loved every item - smoothie, cookies, bars, and donuts! The attractions / activities weren't open and I was a little disappointed but the play ground was enough for my babies, so no big deal. Glad to have a strawberry picking farm close to home. See you next season!

A great family time! They had plenty of activities for all members of the family to enjoy. The donuts and frozen cider were amazing. They had a lot of cool dressings, jams and meat that you could purchase for later. My toddler loved the mini maze. It was definitely worth the money to have all this fun close to Gwinnett County!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon picking blackberry, surveying the offering of the farm market, and being out soaking up some sun. Mitcham is quiet, quaint, and quintessentially Georgia. The people are nice. The place is lowkey and not too busy. Parking is ample. They are offering, now, peach, blueberry, lavender, and blackberry picking. We originally came to pick strawberries but ended up spending our time picking blackberries. We were truly impressed with the deliciously of those home-made/farm-made blueberry cake donuts, which are the best we've had. You can't get those at any Krispy Kreme, Dunkin, or even at home. They are simply amazing. I highly recommend supporting this local farm and continuing to help it thrive.

Adorable farm to take the kiddos to, or just a great getaway for yourself! Delicious farm products and meat, too! A+

End of July and their blueberry fields are still full! We filled up 3 baskets!

Amazing experience! It was great to get away for a social distant friendly getaway to the farms! Our family went at 10am right when they opened (9am) on a Monday so it was super quiet and the fields were packed with blueberries and black berries! Payment: It's a super easy process. You pick a fruit basket and fill it up. You pay after you pick to make sure you get a fair amount. We got the big grocery size blueberry basket for $8. Filled it up to the rim! Mixed with blueberries and blackberries. Food: There is a restaurant inside but only open on busy days. But they still had fresh slushees and ice cream available on the weekdays! There is a fresh market inside as well! We stocked up on fresh mango salsa, jams and honey while we were there! Should've grabbed the corn! How to dress: bring a hat, SPF, bug spray and closed toed shoes! If you're allergic to bees then be aware they are there but super friendly! Staff: Dakato was so friendly and helpful! He gave us insight on the year round farm activities, u-picking tips and the passport rewards! Parking: free and ample! Super family friendly environment! You could have your own little picnic and play with the animals! We'll be back for fall activities!

Where the market is, you pick up your buckets and food in there and pay for you items.

These are the best strawberries we've ever had! I've been wanting to take 3 of my grandsons that I've been keeping for a little while somewhere just to get out of the house and somewhere not too crowded. After talking with one of the girls in my small group this Wednesday, and she was saying how awesome these strawberry doughnuts were, I knew we had to go! My babies love fruit, especially berries! So I thought this would be an adventure. They opened at 9 today, so we got there about 9:15. There were already people there and they just kept coming! We pulled into the grassy/gravel parking lot, that had a sign near the entrance. They have a little barn looking building that you can go into and get your bucket if you're going to pick strawberries. They also have an assortment of veggies and jams, slushy's and strawberry donuts, and a few other items for purchase. Once you park, you go into the little building area and grab a bucket or how ever many you want to fill and you have to walk across the street to the strawberry field. They really enjoyed finding the "red" strawberries and were so excited to eat them, they actually snuck a couple while we were picking them.... they just couldn't wait! After you pick the strawberries you come back and pay for however many buckets you fill and whatever else you want to buy from the market area. You could buy stuff first if you wanted and put it in your car but we paid afterwards because we weren't sure how many strawberries we would pick and the doughnuts weren't ready yet. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because, This was the first time strawberry picking ever for us and visiting this location, so we had no clue how things worked and I had to ask what I should do, instead of the staff asking if I needed assistance. There was another family walking around too trying to figure it out as. I would definitely recommend this place, as I already have to some, and would recommend getting there earlier than later. They had plenty of strawberries it just got a little more crowded and hotter as the day went on.

Mitcham Farms has become a tradition for my children and I we have gone for the past 4 yrs and we go year round. We start with strawberry picking season which is always fun but especially fun this year with everything that's been happening. It's nice to get out and get some fresh air while picking strawberries. It took us twice to finally get out in the fields because the 1st time we tried to pick it was to many people. It was around noon so I decided to try again at 9am when they 1st open and that was a success. Not only did we have an area to pick all to ourselves but it was nice and cool. It started getting warm around 11 almost 12pm but we were finish by then. We couldn't keep our picking baskets due to a shortage because of covid-19 but it was ok. It's like $12-15 dollars to fill up a basket. We also got a dozen strawberry donuts and strawberry smoothies... I was in strawberry heaven lol. Now we're waiting for blueberry and blackberry season which I think starts next month. Check out my pics.

    This place is a joke

Gee let's see what corny things you can pull out your ass to try and entertain people and make some cash during the holidays. The bonfire is a joke! More like 2 campfires. I only liked the funnel cake and that was about it. But I guess it could satisfy and entertain simple minds really. A bunch of wood cut out games, hillbilly trash music, usual hay ride drug by a tractor, and various other activities for children. I guess for them it's exciting like the hill slide that kinda goes underground which is kinda neatly done. I did like the potato gun game set up but that's about it. Oh and a corny corn field.

Located in the Covington/Conyers border zone where the (now in their 20's) lost children of Rockdale County (long story if you don't get the reference) still cruise the strip malls - this small pick-your-own blueberry patch serves as entertainment and, dare I say, appreciation for where food comes from to sugar crazed preschoolers. A few of the neighborhood dads and myself carted our offspring to the hinterlands this past weekend to let said fruit of loins pick some berries. As the owner does not use any pesticides, the berries are safe to each right off the bush - a good thing if you have a pack of 2 and 3 year olds. When we arrived, we found that the patch was actually closed due to excessive picking the previous week - but the owner didn't have the heart to turn away the little tykes, so the kids were allowed to pick all of the ripe blueberries they could find. Who knew searching for the little blue orbs in a sea of pink unripened fruit could be so much fun? The kids had a blast (imagine a hunt for miniature sugary Easter eggs) and we parents were grateful for the nap inducing crash (the kids ate a decent portion of what they picked) that happened 1 hour later. Oh, the owner only charged us 5 bucks for all that we picked because he felt poorly about the status of the patch. Nice guy.

I called the owner in June 2015 and she said that Blueberry Hill is now CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. I went…read moreon a Saturday afternoon just around lunch time and it was pretty easy to find and drive to. The lot was pretty busy but we quickly found a parking spot. Once there, it was a little confusing to figure out where to go for peach picking as there's so much happening (food truck, ice cream, boiled peanuts, fresh produce, other u-pick produce like blueberries and wildflowers) but the staff was super nice and pointed us in the right direction! (Side note: before picking, we hit the restrooms which were Port-a-potties. They were fine but just fyi and bring hand sanitizer!) For peach picking, we paid $30/bucket which was a totally fair price for the amount of peaches we were able to pick! (My group of 5 split a single bucket and brought more than enough home). The picking was good and the staff was super helpful with telling us how to pick and what to look for in good fruit. We brought our own bags but they also offered paper bags which was nice. After, we had both the strawberry and peach ice cream! The peach ice cream was honestly pretty mild but the strawberry ice cream was SO GOOD and creamy and hit the spot after picking. Overall, such a great experience fruit picking and highly recommend if you can go!

It is mid July and tomatoes are not in? They are buying from other farms and acting like they do a great job. Nooooo, I do not recommend them AT ALL. I made my living selling FRESH PRODUCE, I bought from around the world and sold locally at the Atlanta State Farmer's Market and delivered to about 11 States. I could have saved money & time by going to Publix. W.H.
