The best part was, I brought in pictures from Pinterest to show them what I wanted. Usually, salons dont do the greatest job doing exactly what was in the picture, but they did!! I had had my nails done two or three weeks before at a salon in my hometown. --They were disgusting. (They had been disgusting since the day I got them. They had stayed on well but color was hideous, and I didn't feel like they had been applied very well. When I entered MV Nails, there was only one employee that I could see. I asked him if he could give me a fill. He confirmed what I wanted asked me to wash my hands and had me sit down. When I went back to wash my hands, I saw that the salon had a sort of hidden nook with 6 to 8 pedicure stations and there were several women working back there giving pedicures while the man sat closer to the front. I also went into the bathroom and noticed that it was very tastefully decorated and thought to myself that the salon was actually quite nice for one where you could walk in and get your nails done. When he started doing my nails, I apologized to the man for how disgusting they were, and he responded with a little chuckle and said, "It's OK." He then went on to take a great deal of care in making my nails look beautiful. He confirmed what kind of shape I wanted, he did each fill as if it was a work of art. --As to say that he wasn't going to let there be any acrylic hanging outside my nail on my cuticles, or chunks of it under the nail. He really did make each nail look beautiful. --Before he even got to polishing them, I told him I was so grateful because my nails already looked so much better. During I was having my nails done, two women came in. One said" pedicures please." --Without really asking if they even had availability. He responded that they were kind of busy and she said OK and left. I thought this exchange was a little strange because the woman didn't ask if she could come back at a later time and he didn't offer a later time. However, what I appreciated about it was that he didn't invite them in to get their nails done, knowing that his employees would have to shuffle around and pay less attention to each person if they had two more customers to help. Later, when he received a phone call request, requesting an appointment, I did note that he informed the caller that the time she requested was a busy time, but that she could come in a little later. So, I assume that if the ladies had asked they would've been more than willing to accommodate them. I was able to go visit my friend in Seattle with nails that didn't look like I had glued some cheap press on nails halfway up my nail bed. I was insanely grateful for the time and effort. This man had put into doing my nails and really appreciated the cleanliness and style of the salon. I will go back here again if I am ever in the area and in need of any nail services.

The owner is super kind, communicative and attentive to my needs and questions. I always used to do acrylic nails by other nail techs and my natural nails became damaged so I wanted to start growing my natural nails so this was actually my first time ever getting a regular gel manicure! Lina was able to see me early the next morning so I jumped at the appointment. Lina is quiet and direct, some might find her brusque. But she really isn't, she knows her craft and has the tools and knowledge to prove it. She worked on my calluses before soaking my feet, explaining the soaking caused the skin to open up and be more delicate/painful as she carefully "sanded" down the dry skin. She had special power tools for the various bumps which were far less painful than the pumice stone treatment most spas use. I have never had calluses retreat so quickly. She also pointed out other health issues my feet were experiencing and what I should be doing to make them feel better. Her shop is small with 2 chairs and is blissfully quiet, unlike many large noisy Nail Salons. If you want a real Health Spa experience for your next Mani/Pedi I suggest you seek out Lina's Nails.

Dianne was able to get my nails back to their former glory, as I need Acrylic overlay with gel on top bc I am rough with my hands at home and gardening. I was also pleasantly surprised that she was able to do a design I saved on my phone with no hesitation.
