I was at the counter so I did not turn around to search for the man. A patty melt sounded good to me so I ordered one. The patty melt was placed on top of thick marbled rye bread. The actual patties inside were cooked well, moist, and flavorful. I enjoyed the panty melt! Dave said too much rye bread took away from the taste of the patties.. i think if the patties were served on thinner bread or sourdough, the patty melt would earn that extra star. 4/5 I did order a side of fried green tomatoes. The bacon on my sandwich was the standout--nice, thick, and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that the menu mentioned garlic, but I honestly couldn't taste any. If you're going to promise garlic, I want to taste garlic! Mom really enjoyed her frittata, although I think she's getting a little tired of egg dishes lately. She especially loved the toast and whatever butter they served with it. It almost tasted like maple butter, and it was delicious. The fresh fruit was also excellent (I happily finished Mom's!).
