If you are a clean freak stay away. I have friends who would walk out after walking in. That would not deter me! I wanted the roast pork but the sandwich was for later and the owner absolutely would not deconstruct the sandwich. It would have been a soggy mess if I took it home to eat later. I got Chicken parmigiana. It was served over spaghetti. A real bargain for $9. I'd say get the parmigiana as a sandwich. Skip the pasta. I bet the pork is great and I'll go back to get one.

I visited here with a friend about two weeks ago. We both loved our experience and can't wait to come back. First, a caveat: if you evaluate restaurants by decor and ambiance, save yourself the time and don't come here. However, if you love a good sandwich, you've gotta come here. Seriously. Stuffed full of meat and toppings. My friend got the sandwich w broccoli rabe and it was fantastic. Definitely a dive type place. If you're in Phoenixville and need a delicious take-out lunch, stop by!

Wasko's roast prime rib with sharp provolone and long hots

I've lived in Phoenixville since '85, but I'm originally from S. Philly. So hoagies are a sacred topic (I've adjusted to the fact that Phoenixville has historically called them zeps or stuck them in the oven and called them grinders). The Ultimate Italian Hoagies, hot pork and roast prime rib sandwiches (the only things I've tried on the menu so far) are probably the best for miles around. Sharp provolone. Good rolls from Conshy. Quality meat. Great roast pork. Home-made long-hots. Great for lunch; head in early for dinner; they're not open late. Wasko's is not on restaurant row (downtown Bridge St.) or Hoagie & Pizza Pike (Route 23 / Nutt Rd), but it's worth venturing through town to find the place if you want a good sandwich. And if you live in town, just walk on over like I do.

Again the best roast pork sandwich. It's so good, it is the the only thing I order from there. Get the long hot peppers with it!

This place makes the best Pork sandwiches ever. Atmosphere is non-existent, but I don't care. The food is great.

They brought me out some of those instead, as I am not a fan of patties that make me look like I'm eating at McDonald's, but the home fries were quite oily. We were there a very long time before our order was taken, and then to receive our meal. They seem to be understaffed, so our server seemed overwhelmed. It was hard to get coffee refills, which is one of my pet peeves when I go out to breakfast, as I like coffee very hot, so refilled frequently. I also requested my English muffin dry, but it came out loaded with butter. Be forewarned that they don't warn you about up charges when telling you what item choices come with the meal. Would I have minded paying extra for things like an English muffin or multigrain bread? No. But I do expect to be told ahead of time. (They charge extra for multigrain bread???) The owner removed it from the bill when questioned, but she was not pleasant about it. She tried to argue certain things and say she knows the server told us, despite her not being there when we ordered. This is not a good way to win over a new customer who had not been there before and doesn't know anything about your place. There are a lot of very good breakfast places in the area, and I go out to breakfast frequently (as you can tell from my many breakfast reviews). It's doubtful I will return again as I did not find the place friendly. The Collegeville Diner is much closer to me if I want a diner, and there are so many other places where the service is very friendly and quick. This is not one of them. The owner did make adjustments to the bill, but was not nice about it. (They seem to make a big deal about using Dave's Killer Multigrain bread, see owner's response to this review, which I've never had and don't care about. Who tells you that multigrain is one of the choices and then charges you more after the fact because you chose it?) You can go to Nook & Kranny and get fresh baked bread from local LeBus bakery without any extra charge. For my dining partner, it was her second time here and she had a negative experience the first time, where service was also slow and her food arrived cold. The only reason we gave it a try was that she said it was very busy at the time, so our logic was that it must be pretty good if it was that packed. It was not packed this time and service was still not great and the food was not good enough to offset the service. We have no desire to give it a third chance.

Updating my 10 year old review…read more The soccer facility I played at moved, so I'm not here as often, and am definitely not closing the bar any longer. I do work in the area and we come for lunch and happy hour regularly. It's a minute from the Target, Lowe's, BJs shopping center and has a nice private lot. It's changed a bit in the last decade. They got rid of the 2 pool tables and now have more seating in the dining room. There is a full bar in this area as well, tho often closed unless it's really busy. What hasn't changed? The food is still tasty. Great smoked meats and amazing lunch specials during the week. They also do a great job hiring good servers here, efficient and personable. I think Marissa is the only server I've known long term, but Audrey waited on us today and was absolutely wonderful. Be sure to mention to her how much you love Audrey Hepburn, might score you a drink! The lunch specials are amazing. So amazing I don't even want to mention them because it already gets busy. The wings on Tuesday are too notch, second only to the burger deal in Thursdays. And if you like ribs head in on Wednesday.

Who knew that such a random find, would be such a highlight of me and my girls' evening? The only…read morereason why Perky's couldn't get a 5-star rating is because their ribs were sold out & that was most of what our table wanted to try. We did however, have their brisket, honey hot wings, fries, and their cheesesteak, all that we enjoyed. I also have an obsession with pickles and I loved their pickles, along with the selection of BBQ sauce being available. Not sure if I'd want to come again due to the location but the environment was nice - there were TVs around the building if you arrive during a football game but a good spot to go to! We went after a day of shopping at King of Prussia Mall.
