Price kept going up; service standards didn't. Others here have reported the same experience I had when trying to close my account. You can go through their online account cancellation process, but it just triggers an email saying you have to call in. I don't carry a phone anymore. Had to contact them FOUR TIMES to get account cancelled, and at that, they used the words "one time courtesy" to describe closing my account. The whole time, they continued to bill me. I had to send a demand notice to them to get my account closed and to stop billing. Don't bother with their online cancellation option - it won't work. Seriously wondering what kind of scam they're running. My advice is check out Apex Waste. One third the price. read more

Springs Waste, now its personal. I have posted here that Springs Waste will not answer their phone. I called for a month to try prove to them I was a customer and wanted to pay them to resume service. They never answered their phone or returned any of the numerous messages I left. I left them messages for another month to pick up their trash cans after I switched to Infinite disposal. As I have said here many times and told them on their answering machine that if they did not pick up their trash cans I was going to put them on the curb and post a "free" sign on them to get rid of them. I was nice and waited until trash day today to do that. The passive agressive driver that I have never met drove by at 8:00 AM, stoped, and took a picture of my "FREE" signs. When I got home this afternoon my trash cans were gone. But whoever picked up the cans turned them over in the street to leave what small amount of pine needles was left in them on the street. There was also two puddles of paint that dripped off of their truck as seen when you click on the picture. WTF??? I have never been mean to the driver and never been rude on the phone. If they never answer the phone how can I be rude? Why are they turning trashcans upside down leaving trash and puddles of paint on the street in front of my house??? This is not mafia New York. I do not have to subscribe to a company that uses these tactics. They cant intimidate me. Click on the picture to see what little trash I left in all three of their precious trash cans. There are three straight lines of pine needles where you can see they turned over three cans. How petty is that? One was a recycle can that they turned over, so much for the environment. You can also see the puddles of white paint that dripped off of their truck when they stoped to pick up their trash cans. Infinite disposal was nice enough to dump all three Springs Waste cans that they refused to pick up. They gave me my first month free for signing up. They are half the price. Last week I was on a family emergency in Salida and could not put my trash out on the curb. The nice TWO guys on the truck took the effort to go up next to my house and empty my cans even though I was not home. I still do not know why Springs Waste treats me so bad. But what I do know is that Infinite disposal is half the price, an infinite amount of times better at customer service and are actually a joy to deal with. As a plus I dont have to pick up the trash that they leave in front of my house or clean up the paint dripping off of their trucks. You have a choice. You can hire a company that really does not know you are a customer, have a guy sitting in his trash truck giving you trouble if your trash is not 100% as he likes it, and deal with their mafia like intimidation tactics. Or you can deal with a local company that is friendly, half the price and employees twice the number of people that are truly happy to see you. Another total failure to pick up our Wednesday pickup trash this week. No phone call, nothing. I had a couple of extra cans but some one could have called me or charged me extra. No call. I called their customer service and reported the problem and one rep clarified the service but I was told I would get a call. No call, nothing even though I advised them we have bears in our neighborhood. This company was a a great company for many years before they were bought out by the current owners. When we first moved to our new house, the previous renters had used Springs Waste. The trash can was left in front of our house. I'm not sure if they cancelled their trash service, but we moved in September 2021. Upon moving in, we talked to several neighbors, heard how bad Springs Waste was, and got recommendations for a different trash service. Since then, I have called Springs Waste Systems 3 times, leaving a very detailed voicemail each time, requesting that the trash can be picked up since we do not use their service. I've gotten no responses, even though I've seen them picking up trash at neighbors houses occasionally. I'm at the point where I will have to fit the dirty trash can into the back of my car, drive 20 minutes to their location, and drop it off. Last straw: they just cut recycling pickup from weekly to every two weeks AND raised their rates. They have started answering the phone lately (first quarter 2022). I have never had a major issue with them. I fill both my cans most weeks. They have taken everything that I put out in the cans as long as I remember to take the cans to the curb. We have had this company for almost 3 years. They are somewhat reliable in that they usually pick up sometime on the day of our scheduled pick up. Their employees who pick up garbage always leave our cans all.ovet the street, causing neighbors to have to make wide turns to drive around them. They are often even on their side after they pick up the trash. Today was the most frustrating. We are having a blizzard and instead of canceling today like every single other trash company in Co Springs did, I called at 11am, after reading their fb post saying they were running as scheduled and was told again at 11am that they were still running as scheduled. By noon, the bags have flow all over the neighborhood with these gale force winds. I go back on Facebook a few minutes ago and there is a post that they are closing. Beyond frustrated. They sold to waste connections and the service went to absolute shit. I got a bill for dates in June but paid my quarterly bill in April (you do the math). I fired them and they've still not picked up their cans. It's been over 3 months. Do NOT hire them. Fired them because they failed to pick up for three weeks. If you go with Springs Waste you have a 50/50 shot they will actually show up to pick up your recycling. When you call to complain they will tell you that they can't make it back out to pick up until next week. Then they won't show up again. You end up paying for service that is not provide. After they assured me twice that they were coming and they didn't show up I dropped them. read more

The last few months they have been completely unreliable. I used to love them before they became Waste Connections. My trash and recycling would get picked up about the same time every week. Now I don't know when or if they are even coming. A message the day after my normal day saying "sorry we were unable to come, we will pick all extra items for free on your next scheduled day". I have never had an issue until recently which by their lack of communication and follow up I will be getting rid of them after they pick up my backlogged trash on the streets. last week the 19th they forgot to pick up trash, I called and they said put out extra bags free of charge for the next week. Tuesday the 26th we got a little snow in town, less than 3" and they never showed. They answered their phones with voicemail messages on wed and thursday forcing me to express my displeasure without talking to a representative. Streets were 90% free of snow by thursday morning and other trash services were up and running and still no call back or communication. Guaranteed my trash is still piling up on the street and I have been informing my fellow neighbors and friends to do the same since they utilize the same company. To furthermore how terrible their customer service is when I came home not only was there trash all over my driveway that their employees refuse to pick up but also broken glass causing me to have a flat tire. Wow, we started using their service the first week of Jan. 2021 and they have skipped 6 different weeks of service. They never bothered to call and they NEVER return your phone calls just to find out why they didn't pick up our trash. Had this service for years and they were great. The last 6 months things went downhill fast. I made 2 complaints and cancelled on the 3rd. After the first, the driver dumped a can of trash all over the ground and didn't pick it up. The cans were tipped over and left in the middle of the road. 2nd complaint, driver left the cans in the middle of the road, not in a parking area, but where people would need to drive. 3rd complaint, driver again left cans in the middle of the road, trash scattered around and one can they didn't bother to empty, just left it in the road. They miss pickups, are almost impossible to get a hold of(call early in the morning if you want a prayer of speaking to someone), and they act like it's no big deal if they don't pick up or answer your calls. Do not leave messages or emails because they won't return them. They used to be good but as soon as they were purchased by another company their customer service tanked. Just found out they once again are raising their rates from $60-$63 for 95 gallon cart pickup and never let the customers know when they are doing it. Fair pricing, but FREQUENT misses. We have 4 accounts with Springs Waste for residential trash services. We pay extra for "walk-in" service for all four addresses. I have called them at least TWICE per week to remind them to come pick up my trash. They have "made notes" for the drivers and "talked to the supervisors" and nothing has changed. Just called for the third time this week to get my trash picked up. Most of the representatives on the phone are polite, but a couple are not. They keep promising that they will get our trash and yet I have to call every week. SUPER FRUSTRATING! read more

This company was really good and actually cared when they first started out. Now they have grown big and just seem to be full of excuses every time they miss a pick up. Some of the customer service people are nice and at least pretend they care, others are just plain rude. The drivers seem to look for any excuse not to pick up and routinely leave my trash can half full. Recently a driver missed dumping the trash in his truck and just left piles of trash in the street as he drove away. Tool several phone calls and 24 hrs before a truck came back and the driver got out and very angrily picked up most of the trash that hadn't blown away. I'm currently trying to organize the 30+ people on our street that use this company into switching to another company with some kind of group discount. I will update. read more
