I've had horrible experiences with my trash not getting picked up by Capitol Waste. I'm not sure…read moreif the driver was on something, but he would forget to pick up my trash containers. Or, to give him the benefit of the doubt, he picked up the wrong containers from another apartment complex. I had to call in on several occasions because my trash containers would stay full. The driver said he emptied them each time. I told them that I had a hunch that the driver was picking up the wrong containers since there are several apartment buildings nearby that look similar. The salesman, let's call him John, reassured me that the correct containers were getting emptied and that probably someone else was illegally dumping trash into my bins. It would take a big dump truck to empty that much trash in one day, so I tell him it is highly unlikely. To get to the bottom of things, I tell him to have his driver take a picture of the empty container as soon as he picks it up until we figure out what is going on. Sure enough, the week after, the trash is still full all the way up to the top. At this point, I've gotten several complaints from my tenants, and also code enforcement has issued me a citation. So, I tell John, "Great, let's see the picture of the empty container that your driver was supposed to take." It turns out, he did not even take the picture, but John says he did empty the container. How would he know??? He wasn't even there! How convenient. Again, he says that someone else is filling the trash all the way up. Yeah, sure. If he had the picture, we would unequivocally know for certain. Also, my tenants tell me that the trash has been looking like that for several days. So then, John says he would personally go to my trash bins and take a picture of them. He sends me the picture, however, the bins in the picture that he took are NOT EVEN MINE!!! He then says that he screwed up and went to the wrong location, but rest assured his driver went to the correct one. Yeah, ok, sure. If HE went to the wrong apartment complex, wouldn't he think THE DRIVER could have done so as well??? If they just owned it, and said it was their mistake, I would not even be writing this negative review. On top of that, I was charged $160 for the extra "courtesy pick-up." Come on now, If anyone owes anything, it is Capitol Waste that owes me a few extra pick-ups. What am I paying for? Services that I never received? They should give me a refund for time wasted in constantly having to monitor whether or not the trash was being emptied. I had to constantly call them and tell them the trash was still full. I've since switched to another cheaper company, and I can't be happier. Thumbs down to Capitol Waste. This garbage company IS garbage. Use another company such as Republic, Local, or Rumpke.

I've been contacted twice today by a manager and the corporate office regarding this issue. Container is supposed to be emptied today and I was given a credit for the missed service calls. I've decided to continue service with the company and should it continue to be responsive and on time, I may increase the stars. See photo below. This is how it looks when you contract with Rumpke for your dumpster needs. I'm only giving one star because ZERO stars is not an option and their customer service has - for the most part - been helpful - or at least tried to be. We contacted them in March to bring a container to our home/farm. Work order was issued on 4/16, but container was not delivered until April 29th. It is now June 16th and despite weekly calls, my container has not been emptied despite being "guaranteed" that it would be done. Called on 5/29 to inquire about our specific pick-up date to be told that it was supposed to have been emptied on the 4th Thursday (5/28). Received a refund for one month's service but was told that they would send someone out on Monday (6/1). I called again on 6/5 because we had still not received service and bags were piling up in the shop. This gentleman indicated that we could expect pick-up on Monday, June 8th. NOPE! DID NOT HAPPEN! I called again on June 11th and the gentleman called the department that schedules pick-ups and promised that it would be picked up on Monday, June 15th and to go ahead and add the rest of our trash on top of the container and they would get it all. I informed him that if I got home on Monday and it had not been emptied then they should just plan to give us a full refund and pick up their container. Guess what? NOPE! DID NOT HAPPEN! I called again today (6/16) and the wonderful CSR tried her best to make something happen and once again - NOTHING! This is not only unsightly, it is unsanitary. Frustration does not even begin to describe the relationship with Rumpke! Oh and you can note from the photo that we even put in a concrete pad to make it better for their drivers.

My neighbors have a commercial dumpster, they engage with her, and it's so heartwarming! She loves the kid's show Trasktruck on Netflix. They then drive through the alley. I can't remember the older gentleman's name but the younger guy is Curtis... I heard the older man say it. She panics when she sees her little calendar and notices it's Thursday. There was a Thursday when she even had me sit outside and we bird-watched (legit we each had a pair of kids binoculars) and ate breakfast just so she could see them! They even accepted the muffins she made, legit she made, I let her measure everything (after I picked out the proper spoons etc) I just mixed and guided, like I always do. They leave your trash sitting out at the road for weeks on end it takes sometimes hours to get through to customer service not a chance I would ever go back to them. They are useless. Also, when I canceled the service I had already paid through the end of March but yet they refused to pick up my trash the last day of March because they only do cancellations on Saturday however they didn't pick up the trashcan until the 31st, lol then I get an email telling me that my service was canceled for nonpayment. I paid $40 less than what they're asking for a 6-yard dumpster from another company who set it up and picked it up within two days. THE ONLY REASON I USED BAGSTER WAS BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET AN EXTRA DUMPSTER DELIVERED ON THE WEEKEND. I'd stay away. When I discussed my issue with customer service, she told me, there must've been another reason why the couldn't pick it up and offered no alternatives when I told her I'd find another solution.
