Let's take some stuff out of the way #1 it was a Wednesday…read moreand Thursday morning so no other costumers were there #2 I am handicapped but there treatment of me is a big point in there favor #3 I did have my 9yr old son with me as well all caveats aside, i've was going to Top Dollar Recycling 5-6 years ago before i became handicapped and they were just as kind and professional then as they are now. Not only did the workers help unload my van of recyclables (i did have the recyclables sorted a bit first) they re-sorted the items into the different categories and by doing so i actually made a chunk of change more. (like 25-50 dollars) they did not have to do this it would have been easy for them to lump everything together as i had sorted the items and i'd of never known the difference but no they kindly helped and made short work of sorting all the recyclables i had brought with me. the facility is clean (as a scrap yard can be, everything in it place) and professional looking. they even have some really neat nick-knacks placed around that people have recycled , like 4 solid brass horses and a small suite of brass armor. the technicians are bi-lingual and communicate efficiently with each others and costumers (in my experience) to get paid you take the recite the technicians give you up front to an office window where a kind voice gets you a check quick as a flash (the window is blacked out for their safety so no faces just voices) and off you roll sown to the bank happy as can be. Dropped it off, got $5 and some little trinkets and candy. Ladies at the window were friendly and the guys working in the yard were working hard. Would recommend. Note: they don't take cardboard.

The young man at the entrance to the transfer on Saturday June 20th was friendly and professional…read more The reason I went to the transfer station was because I set up trash service in my community of Lakeside at Sunrise Villas 2 weeks prior and was advised my trash service would start on 10 June and the bulk trash would be every other week starting on 17 June. I was also given instructions that the old beat up Republic trash cans left by the previous owners could be replaced with newer clean ones if I left them out. Well I followed the instructions and my bulk trash was not picked up on the 17th. I called customer service and was assisted by a young lady who assured me she would place a note to dispatch about replacing the cans as well as let them know about the missed pick up and they would come back and pick it up. Needless to say they didn't pick it up again. I called again on Friday 19 June and spoke with someone who even sent me an email with a case number 238894337 to look into incident as well as assured me that dispatch would contact me that day or the next to pick up the bulk garbage still placed at the curb. Again no one contacted me so I looked up the transfer station and took it myself so I don't look like the trash person in my new community. Republic Services gets a bad rating for communication regarding residential service.

This is going to be a somewhat shorter review than I normally leave on here, the reason being is…read moreit's a pretty straightforward business model. This is one of only a handful of places in Las Vegas that will take in aluminum cans for recycling. They do pay for the aluminum based on the weight however, it is minimal at best, the real benefit of going here is to be able to drop off aluminum cans for recycling when you don't have it available through your local community or trash service. The staff here are helpful, everybody is very nice and the process is very efficient and quick. As far as aluminum cans go you drive in unload them onto a dolly they get weighed and you get a receipt and you get paid. The process is pretty quick and easy, get in and get out is the way it should be. The company does specialize in recycling and purchase of non-Ferris scrap metal and other recyclable items. Often times when you drive in you will see contractors and other construction personnel, unloading truck loads of waste metal into bins for recycling. The few people that I have spoken to while there say that their pricing is very competitive for the service. As I am not in the construction industry not am I a contractor or a DIY guy this is not a service that I utilize, but it is available. All in all the processes, quick, easy and painless, which is all I could ask or expect of a recycling center. Easy to find and somewhat centrally located.

They continue to forget to pick up recycling or bulk, they leave broken glass and don't clean it…read moreup. When you call to have them come clean it up, they don't come out. They broke an entire glass patio table and just left the pile of broken glass in the center of our cul-de-sac for little kids to fall injure themselves on or dogs to cut their paws on. This week they broke glass that was in our recycling bin This is the third time that they have broken something and left it. I called and even told them that a little boy had cut their knee on it and they still didn't send anybody. It has been four days and four phone calls, and nothing has been done. I've also seen broken glass throughout my neighborhood around the bins after they have picked them up. Also, I don't even think their call center is in America, I had two representatives who I could barely understand who just kept repeating the same generic phrases over and over, regardless of what I said, as if they couldn't understand me. I've called four times they still haven't come to clean the glass. They get paid so much money and do so little.

It says online they close at 4 pm but that is NOT TRUE. They close at 3 pm and they have closed at 3 pm for awhile. Atleast get the time changed online so people don't waste their time.
