I waited 3 days for them to pickup my 3 bagster bags, they sent and email on the second day stating that they would be there on the 3rd day. No one on my street ever saw them (I HAD A PERSON WORKING IN MY BACK YARD ON A LADDER AND THERE WAS A PERSON IN MY HOUSE) and I had to call to find out why they did not come (NO ONE CONTACTED ME) they said there was a car blocking my driveway (THERE WAS NO CAR) I called back and they said I reported a car blocking my driveway (I NEVER REPORTED A CAR) so they said they would come back, An hours goes by and I call them again, they then said that my street was too narrow for their truck to fit (I took pictures of a wide load truck on my street making deliveries with cars parked on both sides. Of course they wanted to keep the $50 fee for making an attempt to pick up the bagster. (NO WAY, I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK) and got it by calling the company during business hours to complain. read more

My scenario was similar to David H.. I noticed a 50% increase in my residential rates over the course of twenty months or so. I called Waste Management to cancel my service and they made it exceedingly difficult to cancel with multiple dropped calls, multiple situations where their automated system did not understand my account number or their voice recognition was not functioning correctly. When I finally got a human on the phone after a very long hold the representative was very rude. Then they charged me $60 to pick-up their trash pale. All of which I paid gladly, insuring my account was fully paid up to date, to sever my service with this awful company. Then a month later I received an invoice for an $8.50 "administrative fee" with a $5 late charge. All I can say is when organized crime controlled garbage pick-up the public was not as poorly treated as Waste Management does now. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

I've never had a problem with my town curbside pick up until now. My family has been living in the town of Norwell for 30+ years and we have always followed rules regarding trash pick up, even with our new town barrels. On Tuesday June 6th, our scheduled pick up day, I came home to my town trash barrel completely full with the lid half torn off and some scrap trash surrounding it. I called on Thursday June 8th (I did not called the day after because nobody was home and wanted to be available in case of any problems) for a missed pick up and explained the situation. I was profusely apologized to and was told that nothing was noted by the driver like there was any sort of problem on the actual day of pick up. I was then told to bring the trash barrel back around to the street and they would be by to pick up either later that day or the following morning. Roughly about 30-40 minutes after that, I had a missed call and message from WM stating that the driver noted a problem on pick up day and we "incorrectly packed our trash in the barrel and nobody would be able to do a missed pick up". I called back and spoke with another representative and a supervisor about my situation and explained that nothing was packed in tightly and I double checked before calling that everything was easily able to come out (which I could pull each bag out 1 by 1). They told me there was nothing they could do and they could not come and pick up our trash. I asked what next step I could take to try and figure out a way to get my missed trash picked up. I was told "to better utilize the excess town trash bags that I can purchase and wait for my next pick up on Tuesday". I explained that I spend $100 every month on excess town bags that I properly use every pick up day. After receiving no help, I called the board of health who then had to call WM to schedule an extra pick up for my missed trash and was told to loosen the bags and make sure everything came out easily. Being confident with the way my trash was placed in the barrel the first time, I didn't touch it at all. They finally came about 30mins ago and I watched them pick the barrel up with the machine and everything dumped out with no hesitation. All in all, my main problem was the fact I was told three times that nothing was noted by the driver until I called to request a missed pick up, then all of a sudden, there was a notation from the driver that there was a problem. I'm highly disappointed in the way that WM handled the situation. read more

Bought the bag from Home Depot as a "simple solution" to get rid of old deck boards. We placed the bag roughly 2 feet from the curb and ensured that the straps could overlap, as instructed by the package. I ordered for pickup the Sunday of a long weekend, and was told to expect it gone between Tuesday and Thursday. The pickup was scheduled and postponed twice. We called Thursday night to see what was going on, as the placement of the bag made it annoying to get out of the driveway. We were told they would contact us with information. They did not get back to us until the next day, when I received an email telling me the order was cancelled because the bag was too far from the curb and overloaded. Both were fallacies that could easily be disproved. We called customer service again, and before we could get home from where we were (about 30 minutes) the bag was gone. I then received and email with an inflated price, as they tried to charge me for a trip fee. We called once again and had the charge removed. I really feel this company tries to take unfair advantage of people, hoping they don't speak out when they are being defrauded. Absolutely will never use this service again, and will actively tell all of my friends, family, co-workers and neighbors not to use this service. read more

Terrible customer service at Bagster for a location in Arlington. They have now come three times to pick up a bag and given three different excuses as to why they could not get the bag. The first driver said to put the bag at an exact spot, I move the bag to that location, the second driver drives by at 5 AM and does not even stop to look at the bag and then says the handles don't meet in the middle (not true) and then a third driver today says he can't get the bag from that location because of over hanging lines and tree branches. Every one evading responsibility and passing the buck, and impossible to get any customer service on the phone. Terrible, do not use them. read more

I want to give them zero stars. Waste Management cannot be relied upon for trash pickup, honesty, or integrity. They missed our pickup several times. Each time we called to complain, they promised to come out right away, and never did. They have plenty of excuses, but no follow-through. If you want your garbage to sit out for weeks at a time, When I looked into other trash services, I also found out that Waste Management averages about $15-$20 per month MORE than local competitors, for much worse service. DO NOT USE THEM. If you have no other local service, find a dump to go to. If you sign up with Waste Management, you'll be going to the dump anyway, because you'll hardly ever see them pick up your garbage. read more

This was the first time I have used this service and I thought it sounded very convenient. Well let me tell you I was wrong. If I had of read reviews before choosing this service I would never have used them. When I first called for pick up I was given a 3 day window which I thought was appropriate as I live in a moderately sized city (London Ontario). Well the first day passed with no pick up, again understandable but then received an email confirming pickup for day #2. The morning of day #2 I received an email stating that my pickup has been rescheduled for day #3. Again understandable as it was a 3 day window. Again received a confirmation email for pickup scheduled for day #3. Waited all day to get the email confirming the pickup had been made as I didn't receive a cancellation email in the morning so assumed pickup was a go. Unfortunately at 2pm I received an email saying that my pickup will be rescheduled for the next day. I was pretty frustrated as I had just moved into a new community and I'm sure my neighbours weren't happy seeing this bag on my driveway. I was also upset because I was hosting a dinner for my wife's family and needed the parking space for guests. When I called the office I was told that my window was actually 4 days (not true, when I booked it was definitely a 3 day window). The office said that there was nothing they could do as the area is too busy for them to get to all their customer. I was so thrown off thinking "than why did you even take my booking?" All said and done I had to cancel the pickup and call 1-800junk to pick up the bag. Which they are doing as we speak 2 hours after calling. Absolutely horrible service and wouldn't recommend to anyone, Infact I am going out of my way to let people know not to use the service. read more

Always an issue with Waste Management's Bagster service. They are never on time, the 3 day window is always the last day, at best, possibly later. They recently cancelled one of my pickups saying it was overloaded, i evenly divided my debris amongst 2 bags in an effort to avoid this! In the past i would have loaded all the debris in one bag and still had at picked up, no sweat! Perhaps people at WM are just getting lazy, who knows??? Can't win with this service and no one knows anything. Can't reach from street, can't reach from driveway, though bags were in driveway! Are we even trying to reach? Never again, I am done. Waste managment is nothing more then a corporate monster, I'm a property manager and look after stripmalls and waste management is by far the most difficult lazy and entitled garbage company that I'm forced to deal with, there are several other waste removal companies that my tenants use and waste management is the only one that gives me a problem with following simple codes of conduct and I've actually been threatened by the town health inspector with fines because they simply refuse to follow very simple rules, do yourself a favor and hire professionals, the bigger the company the fewer pros you'll run into read more

This review is specifically for the "Bagster",however this is a Waste Management product, so it also reflects poorly on them. On top of paying $27 for a bag that you will never see again, I carefully followed all of the directions for placing and filling the bag. A pick-up date was scheduled ,only to be cancelled due to a fake issue. The bag must be placed at least 5ft. from structures, mine was over 6ft. from my garage. However when the truck driver arrived for the pick-up he "visually " determined that it was less than 5ft. from the garage, so continued on. Basically a drive-by. After calling to discuss the issue, I realized that they were determined to make one excuse after another as to why they couldn't pick up the bag. Out of frustration I decided to cancel the pick up, just to be informed that I would still be charged $50 for the drive by. Nice SCAM Waste Management, and absolutely the most terrible customer service I have ever dealt with. It's almost like she expected and anticipated my cancellation. This system is a scam. Most towns wont allow you to keep the bag on the curb for five days. Waste Management knows this and they wont give a day or time for pickup during 5 day period. Waste Management makes more money on the $50 fee to reschedule than they do on the actual bags. read more

I posted this same review on the wm site. I witnessed the crane brake several tree branches from a tree across the street. Fine. I assumed the driver would clean up the branches only to look a few minutes later to see that they are piled in front of my house. I call WM to see what's up. I am told that it's not their responsibility due to the fact that I signed the driveway waiver. This is despite the fact that the branches came from across the street. I am pushed up to manager and am told since I didn't see the driver put them there that they are not responsible. Really? If i performed my job like this I would be fired! I do admit that I may have gotten over heated and hung up after admitting defeat and I am sorry for that. But I am not sorry for telling people to avoid at all costs. Do yourself a favor and call your local junk hauling company. They will stand by their service. read more

Bagster is a SCAM, Don't do it, they didn't even try to pick my Bagster up from my yard, sent me an email to move it to the street. Claimed low wires, All wires go to the 2nd floor. No way they are too low. You can write a note to the driver, I did, asking to be called upon arrival and I would guide him if needed. NO CALL, NO NOTHING. Customer Service was useless. This covers Bagster pickup in Stamford, CT. The product worked well but the truck sent to pickup the bag backed into our house causing around $1000 in damage. The incident was captured on security camera and witnessed by neighbors. A local rep came out who was really friendly and helpful. He reviewed the security footage, acknowledged the damage and their responsibility and promised they would take care of it. However after that the claim went to corporate it was impossible to get handled or paid and the corporate reps were rude and unhelpful. The claim was never paid and we were left to cover all the damages caused. read more

I went online to search for a dumpster rental for removal of remodeling debris. Waste Management popped up and I figured they were a reliable company so I created an account, went through the order process and made my payment of $765 for a dumpster to be delivered on Friday August 26th 2016. I was under the assumption there were no issues since it asked for a specific delivery date and then told me my dumpster would be delivered on that day. I hired a crew to load the dumpster which showed up Friday morning. I waited on the delivery until around 9:00 am to give them time to get everything moving that morning. I finally called Waste Management to inquire about the delivery time to which I was told "we no longer offer that service". I promptly asked why then would your website allow me to set it up and pay $765 and schedule a drop off date? After speaking with a few people they decided they would go ahead and send the dumpster since their own website let me order it, but could not deliver it until Monday morning. I asked what I was supposed to do with the crew of people I hired and the $300 I was out to pay them to load the dumpster. I was told they would try to credit me the $300 and deliver the dumpster Monday morning. I asked three times to make sure it would be delivered Monday and was assured it would be. Well here it is Monday and I wait along with my crew to load it out (another $300) when I finally receive a call from Waste Management at 1:20 PM stating they will not be able to deliver the dumpster today. What?????? I was just positively assured two days ago it would not be a problem (I specifically asked to know whether to schedule people to load it or not). The only reason I picked 1 star is because you have to pick something and 0 or negative stars are not an option. I see a lot of other reviews on here after I have already made the mistake to use them. BE SMART AND CHECK REVIEWS BEFORE YOU USE AND STAY AWAY FROM THESE NO PLANNING PEOPLE. And another day goes by. After being promised delivery today by two WM employees, I just received a Call me from another WM employee stating it would not make it today. What the crap do you people not even talk to each other? I was also promised a Call me this am to follow up on the issue which I never received. It was not until 200 pm when I called them that I found out it was going to be late but would definitely make it today. They scheduled a day to pickup the bag and they showed up with no notice. The driver called my cell phone and asked me to move the cars in the driveway. I wasn't home but my wife was. I called her to move the cars but her phone was set on silence. The lazy ass truck driver would not get out of his truck and ring the door bell so he just left. Never deal with them. They make you do all the work. They are not contactable. They force you to open an account. The bags are small. They take THREE DAYS to pick up your stuff. Their customer service is terrible. I will never use them again. There are other Bin companies out there that are far more efficient and have a better customer service and pick up on the same day and above all, extremely competitive. The Bagster is very expensive. But I'm very displeased with the the communication that WM has provided and their inability to stick to their commitment and pick up my large scheduled items when they promised, its been a full week and every day I call I'm promised that it will be picked up that very day and without fail no one EVER comes. You didn't have any trouble helping yourself to the additional 40 dollars from my account to schedule a large item pickup. I Expect WM to hold up their end of the deal. I will without reservation be asking for a refund for having trash sitting on my curb for 7 days and no pickup in sight, truly embarrassing. Also you have lost a customer permanently to your competitors and I SWEAR to go out of my way to convince neighbors and friends to end their service with WM also. Don't sign a contract with company. My bill went up $80.00 per month. When I called to discuss I was told they are allowed to go up each year. What is the point of a contract. They did give me a $400.00 discount but that is only half the yearly increase. Contract is 3 years long and automatically renews if you don't cancel so if you do sign keep track of dates so you can opt out. Although they have bought out just about every other company out there, still a few small ones much cheaper for smaller companies to afford. read more

BEWARE OF USING THE BAGSTER. This review is for The Bagster service and not for Waste Management's residential garbage collection service. Our weekly garbage collection with WM has been fine but our experience with The Bagster Dumpster Bag service was not. We decided to try and save some money on disposal of bathroom renovation debris. In the end, we did save the money but it cost us time and aggravation. We bought the bag ($35) and paid online for pick-up. At the time of payment, we were informed that there was a three-business-day window from our requested pick up date. Our requested pick up date was a Monday so we expected that the bag would be picked up between Monday and Wednesday. No pick up on Wednesday. Tried calling their customer service number; on hold for 45 minutes with no answer. Was able to reach a rep using the Bagster website chat function. I was informed then that the pick up window was extended to five days. I had to reschedule work on the house because the driveway was blocked by the gagster bag. On Friday, two men in a third-party junk removal truck showed up and started emptying the bag by hand (no boom truck as advertised on the gagster bag). They blocked traffic on our street and turned what should have been a 5-10 minute collection into an hour-long ordeal. They decided to hook up the ramp to their truck and then try to pull the bag onto the truck using a wench cable attached to one of the straps on the bag. As I expected, the strap snapped and the debris in the bag spilled all over the road. This added another half hour of blocking the road while they cleaned up the mess and we still found nails on the road after they left. We did save money but it wasn't worth the added inconvenience and aggravation. If you decide to use this service, just know that you may not get what is advertised. read more

Bagster was not collected and I was charged a $50 fee after waiting 6 days for them to come. They were being lazy and didn't want to make the effort to pick up the bag. I was never contacted regarding any issues with the collection and I have been home for a week and the truck never came up my street. Poor customer service and I agree with other posts. They made no effort to pick up the bag so they could charge a $50 trip charge. I will not be using this service ever again and I'm also sending my complaint to Home Depot where I purchased the bag regarding the poor inadequate pick up service. I'm Pissed! read more

I would advise staying away from Waste Management as your Commercial Trash Hauler. Very unresponsive customer service. We had a problem with the nearby residential neighbors complaining about the pickup times to get our trash. Waste Management was coming at 4 am and waking up the whole neighborhood with the clanging dumpsters and compactor running -- despite repeated requests to adjust their schedule. There is no customer service orientation at all. Find someone else so you can focus on your business and not the complaints about their pickup times. read more

Monday later in the day I called the waste management company and spoke to Cherrie at 877 7892247 she assured me that 1800 Got Junk was sub-contracted to dispose of the bag . The advertisement stated that up to 3300 lbs of debris could be removed which included yard waste. Exactly what I needed. Tuesday I reached out again because no one had come to remove the bag. Cherrie emailed me and assured me that within 3 business days after the scheduled date for pick up 1 800 Got Junk would remove the bag. Today August 8, 2018 at 430pm two employees of 1 800 Got Junk arrived at my home in a truck inundated with garbage and debris and no possible way to pick up and remove 3300 lbs of yard debris. These guys informed my that 1 800 Got Junk would charge me an additional $250.00 to remove this bagster dumpster in a bag. Again I called and spoke to Cherrie she went on to inform me that the guys could have removed the debris by shoveling it into their truck. I informed her about how this product was advertised and marketed for residential pick up. She then said to me that the streets in New York particularly in my area are to narrow for a large truck with a crane hoist. I live in Eastern Queens blocks from Nassau County the streets are 39ft wide with no obstruction of cars. My neighbors park in their driveways. This shady way of doing business is scandalous to say the least and quite unprofessional. This bagster bag is supposed to be designed to De-stress the experience. Well, in calling to speak to representatives of the waste management I began to experience a complete run around and passing of the buck. This company is overpriced and extremely unreliable they will not even get out of their trash truck to move the trash to the truck. Their customer service is abysmal and there provided service is occasional at best. There are many times when the trash is not picked up for multiple weeks. On line schedule Bagster pick up clearly stated $189 which I paid and a 3 day pick up window. I payed and selected June 11-13. Late on the 13th the bag was still in my driveway so I called customer service. They apologized and indicated although the sign up site indicates a 3 day window it is really a 5 day window. Get the idea; bogus contract they already have your payment. It is now 5:13 PM June 15th and the bagster is still in my driveway. Customer service of course apologizes and "understands" your inconvenience and will relay your bad experience. For sure they won't pick the Bagster up on the weekend as they need a rest. I now know that there are plenty of independent contractors that will pick up the Bagsters and I assure you most will be cheaper, more honest and care about their reputation. Waste Management has been dealing with garbage too long; customers are not people they're just trash cans. Find another vendor to remove their bag. read more

Too bad there is no zero stars. I'd used Bagster about 8ish years ago - no problems - a bit expensive but seamless. Guessing that was before Waste Management bought them but I did not bother to research it. Tried last week to use Bagster for a basement clean-out last week. The web site hiccuped when trying to set up the pickup. Called customer service who told me that for them to pick the bag up (1/2 mile from the Routes 3, 93 & 128 split in Quincy) was $179. She quickly read through things I had to agree to but I was not sure if the power lines were 18' high - and the if Bagster came out to my home and the lines were not 18' they would charge me $150 but NOT pick up the bag. I emphatically and clearly told the rep not to schedule an appointment and she assured me nothing was scheduled or charged. I called a local guy, Willard's of Quincy (Highly Recommend!) who took the whole kit and kaboodal away for $150 AND neatly folded the Bagster bag I plan to return to the Home Depot. What really peeved me was when the $179 charge showed up on the credit card. It took four calls to clear it up. What a waste of time and effort. The sleazy charge on the card raised the 'scam' hairs on the back of my neck as did the fact that I called National Grid who told me their standard height in Massachusetts for their lines is 17 1/2 feet and that cable and phone lines are beneath theirs. I called and made appointment. Lady was rude. Didn't get her name. Then you they give you all these rules about the bags that no one mentions on the ads on television. Then you give them the CC info. And if you want it picked up on a certain day its $120.00 extra. That means pick up for two bags would be over $500.00. Please. I could've burned it all and incurred the cost of a ticket from the city for $300.00 less. Learned my lesson won't recommend it to anyone either. I used their Bagster service several times about 4 years ago and loved them -- would have given them 5 stars at the time. This most recent experience changed all of that. I called in on Monday and was told they would pick up our back within 3 business days. Thursday afternoon, it was still there. I called them and was told they would pick up the next day. Friday at 8pm, still no pickup. I called again and am now told they will pick it up by Tuesday -- twice the original wait time! Their customer service reps have no authority to say anything more than "I'm sorry". I don't know what has changed at that company, but it hasn't been for the better.
