I wish I could give this company ZERO stars or less. Not only did they hardly ever pick up the trash when they were supposed to, they left the bins in the middle of the end of the driveway on a really busy road. Then they jacked up the rate to almost double what it was-$206.46 per quarter! We cancelled the account and went with Evergreen, who charges literally HALF that amount, has never missed a pickup, picks up large items, and puts the bins back out of the driveway. And NOW...we get a bill from Waste Management for $94.20. For what? FOR PICKING UP THEIR OWN DAMN BINS. $75 for bin removal, $10.70 Energy Surcharge, and $8.50 Admin fee. I'm seeing more and more Evergreen bins replacing WM bins on this road-I highly recommend Evergreen Waste for anyone being ripped off by Waste Management!!! read more

I am a renter and we have 4-5 trash recepticles that are kept in an enclosed area near the street. When the truck comes, the guys pull the bins out of the enclosed area and line them up across our entry way/driveway. After they dump each receptacle, they refuse to put the receptacles back where they belong! They leave them blocking the entrance to our building. This has only started happening since they now have the trucks that pickup each bin, dump it, and sit it back down automatically, the guys never get back out of the truck to put them back!! I hope my experience will help you to stay away from this business! I am a client of this company for the last several years as a commercial and residential client. I always pay for my service in advance . I'm experience missing pickup for the 4th time! This company denied refunds as well, so be aware that you can be in the same situation with missing service and without any refund! Costumer service is terrible and attitude is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional! After all, drivers will claim that they did picked up your containers and you should argue with the costumer service and proof you're not lied about it. Please, choose a different service provider or, at least don't do your payment in advance!!! Update: after this review was posted, WM did send to me crazy invoices for about $600!!! Conversation with the office didn't resolve the problem, they refusing previous payments and add some additional service that never was provided to me! Worst trash service by far. 25% of the time they don't show up the day they're supposed to. They also don't do free bulk pick up in the Elsmere area. Then if you have a party, forget putting all the trash out as they only take what's inside the bins but have the balls to write a note and stick it on the trash bags that aren't in the bins. If you can get out of the truck and do all that, then you can put them in the bins and take them. They want $50 a month for trash and recycling while Evergreen is $35/month with free bulk pick up. Don't go with these clowns. Save some money. read more

Yet again, for the god who knows how many times, waste management fails to pick our trash up. Usually it's the recycles that they never take. You go months without taking recycling and then they take the recycle bin as the trash and never take the trash. Hands down, the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. Just wanted to add this because it's kind of hilarious how badly run this place is. I was asked to send an email with my Yelp review so I did, thinking someone wanted to hear more about my experience and instead I received a reply asking me if the cans were picked up yet... that was it, lol. Like, how do you not know if you picked up our cans? I confirmed they finally had and requested they consider refunding two months of our service in recognition of all the issues we had. I haven't received a response but my boyfriend got a voicemail today asking us again if our cans are removed and to please call back to let them know. Again, how do you not know if you've picked them up? And why are you calling us again when I've already answered your question via email several days ago? As if Waste Management rating couldn't get lower...I was at a stop sign at 11:30 am today (5/29/24) on Old Kennett Rd. and Owls Nest Rd. I was at stop sign on Old Kennett Rd. about to turn right on Owls Nest. The driver of truck # 213263 was on my left on Owls Nest turning right on Old Kennett and did not want to wait for me to turn but instead decided it was his turn to take a right turn (it wasn't) that he could not physically make in his truck with me waiting my turn at the stop sign. He decided to turn into my car and force me to reverse with him inching into the front of my vehicle the entire time. I mean literal inches from my front bumper, pushing me back. Luckily there was no one behind me. When I put my hands up saying "what was I supposed to do", the driver mocked me. It was not his turn, not his right of way, and instead he bullied me with his massive truck and forced me to back up on a road. I tried to call Waste Management but if you don't have an account number you don't get to speak with anyone. If drivers act like this on the road just imagine how much they care about picking up your trash or care about the state of your trash receptacles. Choose any other company please! READ ReAD and make sure you don't get trapped into a 3 year contract because you will not be able to get out of it no matter how unhappy or how much cheaper you can get the same exact service from another company! They won't even let you pay to get out of your contract unless they add on legal fees. Legal fees for exactly what if you are paying for the amount they give you? Worst residential trash company in the world. They are sloppy, they leave waste every week & are no help when you call them to try to get them to do a simple trash pick-up that you pay for each week. The drivers are lazy and incompetent. I'm sorry I ever switched to them, it's been about 3 months & I will be canceling my service due to poor workmanship and horrible service. Worst service. Had them from Nov to today when I cancelled my service. They only picked up my trash 4 times. I would call to complain, their automated line said it was always picked up. I was getting complaints from my HOA. Waste management said they would come to pick it up in 24-48h and then they wouldn't pick it up till the next scheduled pick up. Now they are charging me for terminating their terrible service. Never use them!!!!! read more

Thus far I am very frustrated. We signed up three weeks ago, and thought we missed the first pickup. No problem. We could wait another week. Left our trash out the next Friday. Came home and it had not been picked up. My husband called, they said we had not been put on the pick up route - so sorry - we'll get you on there for next week. Another week goes by, we put our trash out. No pick up. We call - so sorry - you're scheduled for Wednesdays. Did we forget to tell you that! Yeah, well just wait 4 more days. Excellent service, never had any problems with them. The workers are always very friendly and polite.

Your service was late every week and my bill shot up to $98.22 quarterly and as a parting gift from waste management there going to bill me $50.00 to remove there trash can from my home. Waste management I was a good on time paying customer for years thank you. read more
