When I told her I was coming out to visit, she said she already had an appointment lined up but it was unfortunately for after I was going to be leaving. We called Tyler and he was super accommodating! He bumped up her appointment by a few days AND was able to get me in too. He is so much fun, easy to talk to, and oh so talented. I was unsure about having someone do my hair because I always go with fun colors and my mom has pretty easy hair to maintain as she keeps her natural color, but I am so glad I took her advice. Tyler took his time and clearly really cares about his clients. The salon itself has a fun environment in a reconverted house type building in beautiful downtown Westminster. Also got a manicure by Ashley, and it was just adorable with multiple accent nails and custom designs. I messed it up by mistake and she fixed it without complaint. She even told me what to do at home to upkeep it and keep it lasting longer. Regrettably, that I have not tried getting a massage here, but I really want one soon.

To get this level of personal attention, skill and vision in most places, you'd have to shell out some serious coin. But Guy charges a mere 16 or 18 bucks for a guy's haircut. He remembers you and remembers what you like. He makes appointments or will try to fit you in as needed. I thought about trying to save a few bucks by going to Great Cuts or whatever its called, but it is totally not worth it. First of all, the mall places won't do appointments, so when you get there after work, you have to end up waiting forever. Then you get some beauty school drop out smacking gum and talking on the phone to her boyfriend or whatever. Well, not anymore. You can feel like a star and get the special treatment for only a few bucks more than the mall places. It's well worth it. Also, I've noticed that Guy caters to a diverse clientele: ladies, young and old, even blue collar construction worker dudes just getting a buzz cut. So don't feel like you shouldn't try this place just because you want a simple short haircut. Guy can do that well too!

When we got to blow drying and styling, she provided good advice and methods on how to achieve optimum results for volume and style. I was so pleased with the end result! I have had such a difficult time finding a hair stylist that was able to cut my hair the way I envisioned. My search is over!!! I wish I had found this place sooner! The woman who cut my hair, who I believe is the owner (?), was so sweet and efficient. I wish I asked for her name but she was wonderful! Her assistant was also very kind and I found them to be a great team! The owner asked what I wanted and for inspiration photos, which I had ready. She then asked several other questions based on what I said I wanted and the photos I showed her. I wanted face framing layers, a V-cut on the back of my hair, and some bang styling that was appropriate for my face shape. From sitting down, to walking out the door, my haircut took only 40-45 mins! AMAZING! I feel like I have a lot of hair and I wanted layers so I was impressed by how efficiently everything was done, including the washing of my hair & curling after! I also found the price to be very fair and reasonable for what my end-product was with my hair. I highly recommend ON:U if you are in the search for a women's haircut!!!
