How surprised was I that a top-rated watch repair spot was so close to home? I inherited a watch from the 80's I was keen to keep -- but when I put a new battery in, those stubborn little hands refused to move. This place fixed the problem (whatever holds the battery in place was broken) for only $10. He could have charged me $50 & I wouldn't have known the difference. What a true old school artisan - 3 generations generations! My watch finally gave out after 15 years and stopped working as well as not closing properly. I got a price from a local mall jeweler which was incredibly expensive - more than the actual watch. So I kept putting off until finally I decided on a whim to see if I could find a place locally on Yelp to try. I was incredibly surprised to find a place close by that had incredibly reviews. I was almost in disbelief because this place must be pretty amazing. Well guess what the reviews are totally warranted and well deserved. I was thrilled that not only did my watch only need a battery he fixed the clasp as well in literally 60 seconds. $10 and MAYBE 15 minutes later I have a brand new watch - amazing! Needed to get a new battery for my watch. It was only $5 and it was done on the spot (normally it's $3 but mine had screws in the back part of the watch). He is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I took my grandfather's antique pocket watch to Steve. He cleaned it up for a very fair price. Steve told me that he is a 3rd generation watchmaker. As I arrived, he was helping an elderly woman with her watches and within a few minutes, he had finished what she needed repaired and replaced and was on to place a band on and adjust my Michele watch. Talk about fast - I have no idea how he is able to do what he does so efficiently and so beautifully! He is super knowledgable, learned the business through his father and grandfather and is just so very nice to boot! I thought would stop by to see if they had any clasps that I might want to use for a watch band I'm making. The guy told me that I would have to bring him my watch band before he would show or sell me anything. I couldn't believe he sells watch buckles and clasps but refused to even show me anything. I asked him several ways in case we were having some Comunications issues. Finally he said I wouldn't know what size I was looking for without his assistance. OK! I have no idea why the guys was so stubborn. Guess he won't do transactions unless he can add labor and repair charges to transactions. Lame. read more

Made replacing my watch batteries very easy. Also from the brief interaction I had with him, he seemed like a super nice guy. I went in with two watches which batteries had stopped working. Within 10 minutes he had replace the batteries and switched the strap on one of the watches for a very reasonable fee. Will definitely be back when my battery needs replacing. read more

Steve is one of the best watch repairman in the Valley. He not only changed my battery, fixed my pin on my metal band, and my chronotech hand in a few minutes, he was also helping other customers. I was very impressed with the speed and quality of work. The price for fixing the watch was very inexpensive for me. I'm sure if I went to another watch shop they would charge me more money and would take much longer to do the same things he did. If fact, I went to sears and they couldn't fix my watch and wanted to take a few days on it. So it was an Absolute Pleasure!!! doing business with this man. Wow, no place compares to Watch the Time! Steve, the owner, is a stand up guy who knows what he's doing and has amazing customer service. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I brought in my Grandfather's automatic 1964 Omega Seamaster Deville that stopped working. After receiving a couple quotes from other places that were extremely high, I heard about Watch the Time and Steve took phenomenal care of me and the watch...not to mention at a price that was half as much as the other quotes. I brought it in on a Friday and picked it up on the next Tuesday. He cleaned the entire insides of the watch, found a brand new authentic Omega crystal to replace mine and put on an identical leather band. I have an old Rolex Submariner 16610 (1992) which got water damage around 2002, and at the time I didn't have the money to repair it and I considered it a lost. Recently I moved from my old house and during the move I found my old Rolex. I didn't know if it was worth repairing because it looked really bad inside. I decided to ask Steve if he worked on these watches. I was just trying to get an estimate if it was worth repairing or even if it would work again. After a couple of weeks Steve gave me a reasonable estimate and repaired my watch. I was impressed, the price was right and he revived my old classic. Obviously all original parts were used. I'm very happy with Steve, he was very professional, acted like friend and gained my business. I have attached some pictures of before and after, you can see the water damage inside and some residue which was cleaned out, now I have a vintage Rolex which has a nice patina from its age. read more

If you want an honest and knowledgable watch repair expert, this the place to go. My Paneraii Pam111 stopped running and I took it to a Fast Fix. They quoted me $250.00 to repair and replace the part on the watch. I then took it to Watch The Time, Steve the owner looked at it and said the only problem was, there was a loose part.
