In terms of flavor and craft, the vineyard produces bold and beautiful wine flavors that I could enjoy at any time for any occasion. However, I cannot give a higher rating due to a deeply uncomfortable encounter I had with the owner, Michael. To put it bluntly, he was unprofessional, intoxicated, and even crossed physical boundaries that were inappropriate. I will politely describe him as a walking HR violation. It was unsettling to see his coworker, Patrick, having to "babysit" him with other patrons while also keeping the other wine tastings running smoothly. It's a shame that Zion Vineyards' world-class wine experience was overshadowed by the behavior of an inappropriate owner. If you choose to visit Zion Vineyards, go for the wine, but be wary of the owner if you're a female.

As soon as I got up to go to the bathroom, though she did try to clear my drinks immediately and was watching me like a hawk as if I were some sort of leper. It was interesting to see her entire personality change when a group of four retirees dressed differently driving in Lexus's rolled up. They were given a story of the history of the distillery of all the different spirits that they sold. They were offered taste of the rum and descriptions of the cocktails. I am not sure if it was because she thought they had more money than me or because the two owners happen to be in the establishment. I'm pretty sure it was the former and not the latter. She lost out on a big sale because they have incredible gin and vodka. I would've bought two bottles of each. However, I simply sat in silence, drank my cocktail flight, and then paid in cash, left her no tip and walked out the door. It's an incredible place, but unfortunately, a really terrible bartender can ruin it all by the way that she treats patrons, even if she makes a good cocktail. Sidenote- The girl at the brewery got a 40% tip. Camille do your job and be a better person. Stop judging people by how they look. My advice is if you want to be treated well here make sure you look like you have money or else you'll be kicked to the curb and treated like garbage. This is situated in a very outdoorsy area where people go to do outdoorsy things. I didn't know we were in Scottsdale, Arizona. We had the steak with chimichurri sauce, bread with herbed butter, brussel sprouts, and seasonal salad. The ingredients were fresh and felt special--things we wouldn't think of cooking at home. We loved the gooseberries and pomegranate seeds in the salad. Multiple members of our party commented on how they could eat the herbed butter on its own. I highly recommend Zion Desert to Table!
