Great service, friendly and knowledge staff, nice modern ambiance, good wines with good pricing

This is a very nice wine tasting room and bar. I stopped in with some friends after dinner across the street. It's a great place to socialize while enjoying a great glass of wine, a refreshing beer, or a unique cocktail. I had a red glass of wine, the Seduction Red Blend, which was very good and I do recommend it. It was very smooth with berry notes and a touch of smoke. My friend ordered "The Blue Boob" cocktail, which he thought was more interesting than anything else. It was on the sweet side for sure. The staff members were all very nice. The place of good seating but not so comfortable for taller individuals like myself. They offered live music. Very cool spot! read more

This is the oldest winery in southern Utah! We stopped by during our ski weekend for a quick girls night wine tasting. We purchased wine flights and it came with 4 1oz glasses of wine to sample. Here, they place a wine stopper at the tip of the wine bottle that automatically ends the pour when it reaches 1oz. Didn't love that as it feels so strict and less friendly - but I understand the desire to use one. They also have a cute "library" type of room with a nice couch that lends itself well for pictures. read more

We loved the live music. The charcuterie board was well balanced. The owner was in touch with everything going on. The waitresses were very attentive. And the ambience was just beautiful in there. We got there just in time before it started getting really full. The service didn't let up even when they were busy busy here. Our cocktails were wonderful. read more

Wanted to have a glass of wine after dinner and wandered over to IG. Was a little discouraged at first, as there wasn't much seating available. Thankfully, as we were giving up, a couple seats opened up near the door. Ordering was slightly confusing, as there were several people at the bar placing orders, but then we also had someone come to the table. A sign or someone saying grab a seat, we'll come take care of you may help here. They do serve wine, but also have cocktails and beer here as well, so something for everyone. I enjoyed my glass of Rosé. A fun stop, but get there early. read more

One of the cutest places inside! We came here after lunch while in Utah for some wine tasting and it was great. Staff was super nice and picked all our wines for us, prices were reasonable, and it's so pretty inside. We were told it is now the longest standing winery in Utah and we understand why. They also have a great assortment of crafted cocktails if wine isn't your thing which was nice. Highly recommend! read more

This is crazy. We are members of several wineries as well as our local wine club. We have been to this winery a few times now and really enjoyed their wine. Unfortunately this last time one of the bottles we purchased was bad ( it happens) but the manager ( I believe her name was Laura ) basically treated us like we wanted a free bottle of wine. Just very unprofessional and unapologetic. Very very sad what customer service has gone too. Especially at a winery. Really not sure if we will go back. read more

This is a review specific to I/G's wine club and customer service. After visiting the winery in Utah, I had subscribed to I/G's wine club. In general, the wine club was fine but we found the price exceeding the value of what was being shipped to us so we decided to cancel in June. Our order cancellation was confirmed by I/G. 3 months later, I/G ended up making a mistake and charged us over $200 for another wine shipment and delivered the wine to us while we were out of town. They have continued to be unresponsive to messages about returning the order and have kept our money for two months now. For a mistake they made - they will not be proactive and they will make you do the work to get it back. This may be a random issue but the customer service experience has been poor enough that others should be aware in case they subscribe to the wine club expecting an easy process to unsubscribe later on. read more

This place is a diamond in Cedar City. The staff was great. Brittney was knowledgeable about each poor. We were promptly greeted and seated. We enjoyed two different flights and a full pour from their wonderful selection. We played Dutch blitz (card game) as we sampled the delicious selection. We left with a couple of bottles as well to enjoy on our travels. They offer a wine club for in town and out of town guests. The seating was cousins there were many options. Came here as a stop on the Utah Wine Trail. This appears to be the only bodega that has a liquor license, so they can actually serve more than a glass of wine to people. Excellent selection of drinks as well. I got a tasting, and after it was brought to our table, I was told which wine was which and then left to my own devices. No real explanation given or background/history. Along with that, I checked in on Yelp and it had a coupon for a free keychain. Apparently they used to have wine cork keychains (kind of a letdown), but that was old, and they were no longer doing that. Hopefully they get that updated. read more

Okay, this place is a hidden gem! I was looking for a tasting room and if I'm being honest, I was expecting to find subpar wine, being in Utah and all (I didn't see grapes or vineyards anywhere lol, not to mention the blistering heat in the summer months). Well, it turns out it was my fault for being judgmental and expecting the worst. IG winery makes their own wines and what a spin they put on the craft! I was pleasantly surprised with two wines, which I bought 4 of each- their version of a Roussanne and the Alicante were spectacular. They were extraordinarily unique and quite palette pleasing. With that said, if you're a true wine enthusiast that truly appreciates trying diverse great wines of the local flavor, you should stop in this delightful little wine bar. Ps they also craft cocktails, as well. The inside is quite lovely and makes for a wonderful place to enjoy an afternoon glass of vino or a crafty provision. read more

I was passing through Cedar City on a dreary Sunday, looking for something to do. Most everything is shut down on the Lord's day in town, but IG Winery was open, and was available for walk-in tastings. I was ecstatic and was there right at noon when the doors opened. The facility is beautiful-it has an industrial/lodge-like atmosphere and was decorated for the Christmas season. My wife and I picked a spot near the fireplace and enjoyed a flight of whites. Jove assisted us and was incredibly helpful-giving recommendations of what to try based on other wines that I said I liked. He was spot on-every single wine I tried was delicious. I wish I'd taken some notes to remember what I tried, but I was too engrossed in the moment to think about such logical behavior. After the tasting, we took a short tour around the winery where we admired the aging barrels and learned a little about the process. The staff here is friendly and happy to answer questions-it's clear that they love what they do and take pride in their work. I'm excited to go back, with notepad in hand, to do this again and re-discover some new favorites. Side note-if you're not a wine person, they do have a modest cocktail menu as well. So don't feel that you have to be an aspiring sommelier to be able to enjoy IG Winery-there's something here for just about anyone! read more

What a beautiful winery! The decor was so great. The sommelier, Jaden, was so knowledgeable and fun. The wines were excellent. This is a true gem of a place. Hey everyone! We came up here for a special New Years Eve wine and dinner the winery put on. The night was amazing! 5 perfectly prepared courses paired with some equally well-crafted wines. As far as the wines go, IG knows what they are doing. I'm partial to whites and sweeter wines. The rose was crisp and delightful. The dessert wine, Full Moon Love Wine, had a sweetness and effervescence that finished the evening perfectly. My wife is partial to reds. She found the red blend to be her favorite of the evening. Afterward, we sampled the Tempest red blend they aged in a rum barrel and took a bottle of that home with us. The one thing that would have really improved the experience is if the head winemaker had come out and discussed each wine the way the chef had come out a and discussed the courses. We enjoy each visit to the winery. It's location in town is perfect for those visiting any of the festivals, locals, or anyone looking for a nice wine. I definitely recommend IG Winery. read more

It was busy so I did have to wait. The server who brought me my wine tasting was apologetic and kind. The wine was okay - they also have a full bar. Prices are good, since I'm used to paying California prices. They had indoor and outdoor seating. They had a live musician the night I was there. Outside was full and I felt a bit uncomfortable with the patrons walking around (to pay for example) without wearing a mask. IG apparently stands for... Instagram. read more

I/G even offers an extensive crafted cocktails selection as well as a delicious charcuterie board / light snack selection that is superb. Our tasting steward for the afternoon was Michelle and she was very pleasant to talk to and we were very impressed by the high level of knowledge and understanding she had specific to our tasting experience. Words cannot express how amazing Kirsten's energy and hospitality was while we waited for our reservation at Centro pizza. She was very knowledgeable and the wine was delicious. They are a local winery and obtains their grapes from Washington, Oregon, California, and Utah. Will need to come back when their reserve wines are back in stock :) read more

Chic atmosphere adorned by beautiful woodwork. This place would be ideal for afternoon get-togethers or small business meetings. Very low-cost wine tastings available, as well as complimentary walk-throughs of the barrel room any time of the day. Chelsee presented each wine with a brief explanation of notes, which helped my uncle and I know what we're getting into. We asked for a Charcuterie board, which took a little bit of time to prepare. The cheeses were a gracious size; I would say probably too big of a chunk/thickness, as some did go to waste. Great quality for all items on the board though! I highly recommend asking for a board with any wine tasting. The only con--something that upset my Uncle greatly--was that IG Winery does not print paper receipts. A business should make that available, especially when clients do not wish to provide personal information [email]. Other than that, the space was well-kept. Glasses were polished, tables/bartop were clean. Staff was extremely friendly and held conversations with you, not just served you. read more

Nice little gem in the middle of Cedar city. This place has a very nice ambiance with a wonderful drink selection. They have plenty of wines to choose from including wine flights and bottles available for purchase. There are a few beers on the list and plenty of cocktails. Steven was our mixologist and made my husband two very delightful whiskey cocktails that were very intricate and well balanced. We were returning from Bryce Canyon and decided to stop in and do a tasting. We were very pleased with the entire experience. My husband and I each did a red tasting and our friends had a few cocktails(they aren't big wine people). My favorite wine was the petite Syrah and my husbands was their red blend - which we ended up buying a bottle of. Our friends had one "on menu" cocktail, and two cocktails which the bartender/sommelier/mixologist created. All were FANTASTIC. The service was wonderful. Steven was so entertaining and knowledgeable. From the moment we walked in he provided exceptional service and kept us laughing. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely be back! read more

The inside has tables, chairs and a couch so lots to choose from. I did the white wine flat and liked all the samples. They provided a glass of water as well. I found all the whites to be exactly as described by the tasting server. They also have some fun cocktails. Didn't sample any but watched them being made and they looked delicious. Came in for the wine tasting and ended up having cocktail drinks instead, I wasn't disappointed! Although I am sure the wine is fantastic, I would recommend giving the cocktails a try as well. They were pretty busy when I went but both the guys working were very attentive. I also felt safe as far as social distancing goes. So yummy! The ambience of this place is really great. The wine list is really complimentary to the charcuterie and the DELICIOUS PESTO. I'm not sure if the pesto is pre made or fresh, but I seriously felt like the basil was picked right off the vine. The beer selection is pretty good and the mixologist makes a mean cocktail.
