    Burnt ends
    Donna H.

Out for a little drive being that the weather wasn't beach friendly , seen this on yelp and thought why not stop in for a drink and an app !First this is a seasonal establishment from the sign posted closes 9-1 not that it takes or adds anything just a FYI . We settled on an order of burnt ends , they were tasty the pickles and pickled onions were a great addition. My SO had a local draft beer which he enjoyed , I set my sight on a sunset pig margarita....tequila, coconut puree, sour mix and fresh pineapple . Nope that did not happen it tasted like a shaken ice water with a splash of milk it was dressed with a small chunk of pineapple. Service was hot and cold hostess seemed a little bothered to have to leave her conversation our server was pleasant ! We'd go back for the ends and beers !

The vibe is really good and food come out shortly after I had ordered. The service is fine but not great. I had a pull pork sandwich with side beans. The sandwich is kinda dry but it is BBQ you know...I also ordered brisket tacos to go and I hope there are more different ingredients inside.Tots is the best and everything else is just basic.

Overpriced, dry food. Cannot comment on the restaurant or the staff as I was given this food by my companion who went to pick up food for us both. I had BBQ chicken, corn, and some sauces brought to me. The chicken was beyond dry. The sauces certainly helped, but something was off. It was edible, but this wasn't finger-licking good BBQ and for the price it ought to be. The corn was delicious fortunately, but this is a BBQ joint. The BBQ should be the star. I should not be here raving about the corn, and even then, I have had better. This is the type of place you go to when you're in a pinch, but I would not go out of my way for. Admittedly disappointing, but when in Florida, can you ever find finger-licking good BBQ?

Excellent salad with turkey, brisket and pork.

Ambiance first: Beautiful open-air restaurant and bar on the bay side of Pensacola Beach. Stylish chairs to use when watching the sunsets and ducks that visit. FOOD: we were stuffed from lunch but wanted small dinners. Mandy ("World's. Best. Waitress.) recommend the salads -- one mixed generously with house barbecue meats, eggs, greens, tomatoes) and the other watermelon feta. A fourth guest got wings -- he couldn't finish them. We'd order the same again. SERVICE: Mandy lived up to her name with salad recommendations and frequent checks on us. Next trip we'll try their Sunday brunch.

Burger and tater tots very interesting

Food was pretty mediocre tried the loaded tater tots very interesting. Also the burgers had no flavor at all so probably wouldn't go back. Way better places to eat at the beach than this.

Like most places along the beach or bay Water Pig has a great location with beautiful views and a consistent breeze. Overall the ambiance is great but unfortunately the food is way overpriced for what you get. Living part time in Austin I'm confident I know good BBQ (arguably some of the best in the world in TX). The BBQ has a decent smoked flavor but the amount of meet for $30 along with the excessive fattiness of the brisket left me disappointed. Good brisket should be 80% meat and 20% fat, with any fat in the meat fully cooked down and only serving to add more juiciness. I found the brisket here to have fat throughout the meat which meant only a small part of it was edible. Overall even if the BBQ was pronominal the prices are still excessively high and for two you could easily spend $70+. I'd recommend giving it a try since BBQ is subjective and so you may love it but be prepared to spend a healthy amount for a meal.

I love the outdoor seating at this area because you get a chance to enjoy the sand and have a view of the beach. I really enjoyed the portion sizes of the chicken wings and they were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The customer service was not bad either, we had a very kind server who was attentive and was able to provide recommendations. Overall, the food was OK. I might come back and give it another try with other menu items, but the view of the beach makes it a great experience. By the way they have great potato salad!

A group of 12 of us pulled up on a thursday night without a reservation and were still able to be seated! We sat on the picnic tables on the sand which we were all okay with. The view was outstanding, they had chairs next to the water and corn hole (there were no bags but we didn't ask if they had any available.) I felt for the servers because we were there a good 15-30 minutes after they closed and they had to walk in the sand with tennis shoes on but they still had a positive attitude/ and great service!! Our main waiter, a young man, was super helpful and even took a picture of the group! Food was all really good super filling and fresh. Tots had a good crunch (we also had loaded tots, very yummy!) My only complaint was the mac was dry but it had breadcrumbs on top which was good! (i'm a mac and cheese fanatic so i might just be biased) Overall super good id come back in the future if we come back to pensacola:)

We saw this place on bring Fido and stopped with our dogs. I went up to the hostess to make sure they were pet friendly and went back to get my pups. By the time I got back our table was set and a fresh bowl of water was ready for them. The entire patio is open air and on a sunny 76° day it was perfect. The hostess and waitress were amazing and loved our dogs. The bbq tots were a really good appetizer, especially with their sweet sauce. I got the bbq burger and it was perfect. This is a great place to visit, especially if you have dogs.

Yum, yum, and more yum. It was raining, so we weren't sure if we'd be able to dine here since the seating is exclusively outdoor. We were comforted to pull up and see that there was so much covered outdoor seating. We were able to sit towards the middle where we wouldn't get sprayed with rain and could still enjoy being outside. Service from the hostess to our server was fast and attentive. Everything we had tasted excellent. -I'm not even a tater tot person and I loved the tots! -I'm weary of greens that aren't cooked by my mother and these were scrumptious. -The Turkey, brisket, and chicken were incredible -The bbq sauce is the perfect balance of vinegary and sweet We ordered a bun ($1) to soak up all the meal's goodness. The bread was great, too! Can't wait to come back when the rainclouds are gone to enjoy the waterfront seating.

Love this little joint! Bbq is delicious and done right. Place sits right in the water so you can go down and enjoy the beach after eating. Staff is super friendly. The iced sweet tea hit the spot on a hot afternoon. Winner!

My husband and I were headed to Red Fish Blue Fish when we pulled into the parking lot however, the smell of BBQ lured us to Water Pig. Ate on a Saturday mid October around noon. We were surprised to see very few cars in the parking lot. Upon arrival we were greeted by a cheerful waitress. We ordered Carolina pulled pork and Texas Brisket sandwiches. We both agreed the Brisket was the better of the 2. It was delicious as were the sweet and savory pickle slices that came with it. The tater tots (standard with the sandwich) were ok but had stayed in the cooker just a tad too long. Hubby had a beer and I had water. Tip and all was around $50 ($39 for food). Great water view with covered outdoor seating. If you're in the area give it a try.

I ordered the taster boat, a smoked meat sampler w/ sliced chix breast (sort of dry), brisket (nice smoke bark but lacked seasoning and that good smoke flavor, was juicy but maybe it sat in au jus or beef broth, which took away the smokiness from the meat? ), rib piece (flat part of the rib, overly seasoned; my husband ordered the 3 meat combo and said his actual rib wasn't overly seasoned so maybe it was just the flat piece I received), smoked sausage, & pulled pork. I ordered the green beans & red skinned potato salad, reminded me of Publix's with some added mustard, to make a smaller meal as I wasn't that hungry. This filled me up and I packed up the pulled pork to go. It wasn't not dried out like some pulled pork can be. It gave the full flavor of pulled pork. I ordered an old fashioned, cause why not? It seemed like a better choice to go with barbecue than the Arnold Palmer I wanted to order with all the sugar. ‍ It was smoked and the bartender, Josie, also our server, allowed me to remove the top when I felt the drink had enough smoke, which I appreciated. As an old fashioned snob I'd recommend getting true craft ice & not using maraschino cherries. BUT the price point for everything, even the drinks is considerably lower than we'd expect; but we're used to Atlanta & TX prices for barbecue. ‍ No, seriously, the prices are low; no complaints there. AND they offer military discount. Oh and you get a discount if you pay with cash. His 3 meat combo included the ribs, brisket, & smoked sausage. He wanted chicken but they only had white meat. His brisket rivals barbecue restaurants. He was open to giving them another try. He said he really wanted to taste the smoke flavor, not just smell it from the pit outside. We ordered the same sides. They brought out white bread, usually by request and also some butter. That was a 1st for me. The bread wasn't the softest but it was probably on the line or near it exposed to heat, which dried it out In guessing?. I ordered the praline pecan pie. It was very tasty. Think caramel added to pecan pie w/o big pecan halves, More like pieces, and topped with whipped cream and praline pecan pieces. Delicious. Initially I thought it was too sweet but it was so good i kept eating it and once he tried it, my husband had several bites too. It's not even that big slice of pie. lol Josie provided great customer service, constantly refilling my husband's water, checking on us, & providing recommendations. The restroom was clean. It was decorated maybe from the 4th of July or for the Labor Day weekend. It seemed quite spacious as there was an area that was closed beyond the bar and smaller restaurant seating area. The TVs have closed captioned. I said we needed to give them another try when it wasn't 45-60 minutes before closing. So we'll do that. It was decent.
