I was referred here by a friend for my son. I was able to get a decently quick appointment…read morescheduled even though he was a new patient. Walking in I was immediately impressed by the facility. It was very clean and well kept. We were greeted by a very nice lady at the front desk. I already had my paperwork ready and filled out so checking in couldn't have been easier. I want to say Megan(could be wrong), she was blonde and very sweet, mentioned she had a one year old daughter, she took us back and instantly came of as a nice and caring person and was very patient. Then Dr. Doll came in and the whole visit was way better then I expected. My son was awesome and very corporative, which always makes it easier and they both were so nice and patient with him. He was excited to get a token afterwards for doing so well. I thought that was an awesome thing they have set up in their clinic. Overall the whole experience was great and we will be repeated patients :)

I don't like feeling that I am not the focus of the medical care and the results are evidence why this is not a professional way to conduct business. I left the office without getting the Dentist's attention on my last visit, convinced that I would still not be happy with any new work. I also reject the attitude that making a client wait more than 20 minutes after an appt time is acceptable. Now I will have to see another Dentist to repair the shoddy work on the crown.

The dentist was becoming visibly frustrated, and finally gave up trying as my daughter was clearly starting to become uncomfortable as the pain medication was wearing off and her jaw was tired. And then, instead of doing anything to remedy it or having us come back another time to finish the job, the dentist pretended all was fine and sent us on our way after collecting our money to avoid a bruised ego. After such a negative experience, we changed dentists, and I was not going to comment further, but I feel like now I need to. The new dentist looked at the tooth at my daughter's next dental cleaning and told us that it should have been fit for a crown and not left exposed, but at this point, all we could do was wait and see if any problems arise or pull it. We opted to wait to try to avoid losing the tooth prematurely. It ended up infected and had to be pulled. I am so disappointed with the dentist at this location who worked on my daughter, and the awful job that was done. Not to mention, after leaving a google review, the complete lack of care or accountability for what happened. I trusted this dentist with my child, and this experience has opened my eyes to the fact that just because somebody is a "professional," does not mean that they will put my child's best interests ahead of their own ego. I would absolutely not recommend taking any child to this dentist.

I loved the staff, very friendly at the front desk. Erin helped me figure out my insurance stuff and get all settled. Dr. Stewart was awesome, as well as all of his hygienists. I didn't encounter one single person who didn't smile. Every visit was nice, and everything was explained to me super clearly from start to finish as well as cost. She told my wife "We have enough patients and Aetna is difficult". We were suddenly out of luck. Rhonda rudely told us we could continue use Northern Smiles with Aetna ins "Out of Network'. It's obvious Dr. Nielson or Rhonda, who ever makes the decisions cares more about money than long time patients. This is certainly not a dentist that has small town values, revenue is obviously a priority. Rhonda is also the rudest receptionest I ever met. She once turned my daughter away for being 10 minutes late!, and reprimanded her. I'm sure Dr Nielson is a good dentist but his small town moral compass is blurred by profits. Very sad to see a small town dentist simply tell long term patients (6 years) "We don't need you, we have plenty of patients". Rhonda said the move was good for their patients... Dr Nielson is an amazing dentist. Very kind and he explains things thoroughly. Favorite dentist ever. Would recommend him to anyone. Also the hygienist Lexi is extremely good at her work. She also explains things well. I used to dislike having my teeth cleaned. Now it's not that traumatic. She's very good.
