Patty the "full service" pet groomer is wonderful! I am fostering a cat for the Cat Network who,…read morebecause of PTSD from abuse, can be reactive to sudden, unexpected issues. He is a domestic long-hair with a solid coat of mats on his underside. There was no way I could get those out myself. I had found out about a pet hospital in St Charles MO that offered sedated grooming. They were pretty expensive as well as being a long, stressful drive for him. I knew Mon-Clair offered grooming & gave them a call to ask if they would sedate him. Yes! They could do sedated grooming on Merlin. His appointment was a week ago. He and I are SO pleased with the outcome! The grooming included claw clipping & ear cleaning. She offered teeth brushing for an extra $8, since he would already be sedated. Of course, I took her up on that. With everything I had been quoted when I made the appointment, I thought it would be around $200. It came out to $164 & some change. Woo-hoooo! Merlin is a MUCH happier cat. AND! the icing on the cake? Dr Harres actually called & let me know how everything went. What a pleasant surprise! I haven't talked to a vet at my usual clinic in 15 years. I may be switching all my cats over to Mon-Clair. One note -- I've never had a cat groomed before, so I didn't realize that they spray them with perfume. If that's something you don't care for, be sure to let her know when you take your cat in. Other than that, it was an amazing experience for both me & Merlin. (By the way, Merlin is available for adoption.)

My family dog was on his deathbed dying in the car and they took too long to see him and he died in the car. Our other dog caught some type of flu or virus, was not eating or moving and burning up with a fever, and we had to pay for emergency care on the spot before they would treat him. He stayed in the hospital for 7 hours unnecessarily! They would not tell us what was wrong with him because they had to run "more tests" and so me and my family were worried sick all day thinking our beloved dog was very sick with no word or updates. They could have called us to inform us on his treatment and condition. But no, we got nothing. Turns out, he just sat in their care for five hours doing nothing for him, not running tests like they said they were doing, and he could have just went home and be with his family. They couldn't even tell us what he was sick with unless we agreed to do very expensive tests. They just gave us medication and let him go. We paid $150 for them to treat him for 2 hours and then unnecessarily hold him for 5 hours. Then, I rescued another dog who was covered in fleas and ticks and had worms, AND THEY WOULD NOT SEE HER! THEIR NEXT AVAILABILITY WAS IN TWO WEEKS! They were "fully booked." Ridiculous. We would have to pay for emergency care, which we refused to do again. So we called another vet and they treated her right away! Like wow, they could just do that? It was a miracle! We finally had the care we needed! Never go to this place. Go somewhere else. Literally, anywhere else.
