We just left Watermark and I am honestly disgusted and fuming. The server was polite and kind, the food was decent, but the way the owner just treated my group was honestly one of the most horrendous encounters I have EVER seen. Mr Watermark Owner of Bonneau, SC, I find it quite laughable that the first thing I read when searching your restaurant on this site was "good for kids" when you just kicked our party out because our child with special needs was playing with his dinosaurs a little too loudly for you! Shame on you. I hope no one ever makes you feel the way you just made your customers feel. We will never come back. And word of mouth goes a long way. We came here yesterday afternoon. It was our first time and we loved it! We both got catfish snd it was delicious. The catfish fillets are generous and well worth the money. Their batter is delicious. The fish was so fresh and flaky. We were very impressed! You do need a $5 membership for a year per person in order to get alcohol. Not a big deal but something interesting we hadn't seen before. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. You can beat that view. We liked that it was casual. Recommend! read more

Having been many times of Saturday nights for dinner. We live in Charleston/James Island always its food is worth the drive. This past weekend we went of Sunday night. Ordered the eggs rolls and they were over cooked and almost burnt. The Shrimp Plate was ok, the grilled shrimp was a little burnt and not tasty. It looks like they use the cooking over from the previous day. The okra is wonderful, the baked potato was warm. So, in the future we will on Saturday night. Throttle Down Motorcycle Ministries had a lunch ride here and Watermark Grill did not disappoint. The restaurant is located in front of Lake Moultrie where the view is spectacular! We were seated immediately, the our service was great and our food was outstanding. Upon arrival, we found plenty of parking for our motorcycles. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated. It didn't take long before our drink orders were taken and we were combing over our menus. This is a plus as we have often made reservations just to find the establishments crowded and the waitstaff frazzled. As we waited for our lunches our waitress refilled our drinks, she was very attentive and engaging which I found refreshing since most wait staff nowadays are standoffish. The sweet tea was delicious and lightly sweeten not like some sweet teas that are so sweet your tongue sticks to the roof of your mouth. I ordered the fried catfish plate. My catfish was fried to perfection, golden and crispy on the outside, juicy and flakey on the inside. Well seasoned with a spicy Zatarain/Old Bay taste. My Green beans were buttery & garlicky and the hush Puppies were fluffy, golden, crispy with a heavy onion taste. My lunch was delicious and one that I will order again. Staff is very friendly, conscientious and pricing is competitive to other restaurants in the area. The view is fabulous. This place is sometimes good and sometimes not good I get burgers which usually aren't cooked to the temp I want same with the steak bites luckily I'm a chef and can cook it to my liking once I get it home. My favorite is the shrimp Po boy I just get it without tomatoes because someone in this kitchen doesn't know how to cut a tomato because they are usually super thick same when you get it on the burger. Nice place to eat with a great view of Lake Moultrie. My husband and I had the grilled shrimp. They were cooked to perfection. It came with hush puppies and a side. Nevermind the price (which is cheap!) the food here is surprisingly good. My wife and I stopped here after a long drive the ought the Francis Marion national forest. We had the Mild wings, the catfish nuggets, and two beers. The service was prompt and attentive, and the food was actually really good! The catfish nuggets were perfect fried and really moist. The wings were awesome! Jumbo and moist. To top it off, $1.75 draft Budweisers. Awesome. I give 5 stars to any place that does whatever they do really well. Okay so the waterview was a 5 star ( very beautiful) but the food was only a 2 star. We got 2 sets of wings- both tasteless & needed tons in blue cheese to taste good. The blue cheese was good- big chunks of blue cheese. We also ordered philly steak sandwich but it was a little smaller than a 6 inch sand which at subway for $8.99. Just expected it to be bigger.
