Felt very welcomed! Sat at the bar, and the bartender was very polite. The bang bang shrimp was delicious! Have to come back when I am more hungry! Definitely recommend this place!

We had a great experience here, table with a water view can't be beat. The food was excellent in freshness and taste and our server L. ASHLEY WAS THE BEST. We will keep returning here for sure, thanks for the great dining experience.

Ample free parking, phenomenal lake views, and a cozy, inviting space with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and menu-savvy. The freshly prepared food goes above and beyond with exceptional offerings and fantastic flavors. Throttle Down Motorcycle Ministries had a lunch ride here and Watermark Grill did not disappoint. The restaurant is located in front of Lake Moultrie where the view is spectacular! We were seated immediately, the our service was great and our food was outstanding. Upon arrival, we found plenty of parking for our motorcycles. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated. It didn't take long before our drink orders were taken and we were combing over our menus. This is a plus as we have often made reservations just to find the establishments crowded and the waitstaff frazzled. As we waited for our lunches our waitress refilled our drinks, she was very attentive and engaging which I found refreshing since most wait staff nowadays are standoffish. The sweet tea was delicious and lightly sweeten not like some sweet teas that are so sweet your tongue sticks to the roof of your mouth. I ordered the fried catfish plate. My catfish was fried to perfection, golden and crispy on the outside, juicy and flakey on the inside. Well seasoned with a spicy Zatarain/Old Bay taste. My Green beans were buttery & garlicky and the hush Puppies were fluffy, golden, crispy with a heavy onion taste. My lunch was delicious and one that I will order again. It's the perfect amount of distance away from legend Oaks, stop for beautiful views, great food, friendship, and great service! Try the catfish nuggets you won't be disappointed as well as the steak bites! Oh, they also have a wonderful HUGE salad. Yummy We have never sat inside we always sit outside and enjoy the fabulous view. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere!! Damn now I want to ride but there are still chores to do post hurricane Dorian. Well, maybe next weekend. Just go , you won't be disappointed and the ride is not too bad. Just past Moncks Corner !!!

    Beautiful Sunsets

We frequent this fine family friendly establishment every Wednesday night and every now and then attend special events there. Staff is very friendly, conscientious and pricing is competitive to other restaurants in the area. The view is fabulous. A fantastic place to observe some of the most beautiful sunsets in our portion of the hemisphere. Awesome!

When we arrived it had all the feel of a old Country Restaurant which made me feel excited about the kind of hands that we're going to cook that food. We were promptly sat and were provided great service the entire time at the restaurant. One of my big pet peeves is to have an empty drink cup and it never got half empty the entire time we were there cuz all the wait staff and even the manager made sure they never did. My issue is the only thing that made that salad anything like California Dreaming where the Almond slivers. This salad started out as a spring mix with very little iceberg lettuce or hearts. The dressing was more of a honey mustard poppy seed kind of dressing with no bacon and I was very much not impressed with their choice of ham and bag shredded cheese. I did see some of the other entrees brought to other tables like the fried chicken and hamburgers which looked absolutely amazing. The cake counter would make you miserable trying to eat one slice of the size cake they had but I would definitely take that challenge the next time I'm there. They were amazing looking cakes and pies. All in all I was not at all impressed with the salads we got and will never get them again but definitely will go back to try their other items because they looked amazing.

Lets face it: we all judge certain books by their covers. Sometimes we don't even look at the cover…read morebefore we already have a preconceived notion of what we will experience. These are all based on past experiences, so there is certainly some validity to these judgements. Sometimes we are right, sometimes we are wrong. But our ideas of how things should be, and are, often align. I was judging the hell out of this cover. I didn't even want to see the author or the title page or the table of contents. I was in the middle of nowhere SC and starving. I had been looking for somewhere to eat for the last hour but Francis Marion National Forest isn't exactly Times Square. It was nothing but trees for miles. Side note: when driving through uninhabited places like this (my cell phone had no signal for most of an hour) I always wonder, morbidly perhaps, if there are any dead bodies out there? Surely there was some Ted Bundy acolyte that decided to follow in the steps of his mentor, take a hostage, and dispose of the body. Am I the only one thinking this? I often wonder and plot how I could get away with the perfect crime. What else am I going to think about for 60 minutes? I pulled into the parking lot and liked what I saw. The place looked fairly new. The asphalt in the parking lot was still cooling from just being poured, the signs and lights that adorned the exterior were bright and new, good stuff. The interior represented more of the book cover I was imagining. A little run down. It was cold outside so the buffet steamers had the place as humid as Key West in July. I could just hear the moisture penetrating and settling in the carpet and ceilings and window panes. I sat at the bar and chose the buffet for the meal. Remember, I had just contemplated the perfect crime (and solved the mystery, btw), so my brains and body were depleted. I saw a whole new set of covers to judge at the buffet line. And I will be honest, it looked like I was about to read War and Peace while high on marijuana: does plain and arduous ring a bell? The food was actually pretty damn tasty. Nothing blew my mind but nothing made me want to hurl insults or regret my decision to dine here. The fried chicken, as buffet fried chicken often tastes, was dry and chewy. Was this a product of the grueling buffet environs or a product of poor cooking? I lean toward the former because everything else was A-OK. Bonus points for having black eyed peas, a true southern delicacy. All in all a pretty good place. Nothing was five star but nothing was one star. Outside of the 2.5 star chicken, I give it a solid 4. I had the mac and cheese, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas, green beans, and even the cake was ok. If caught in the muck and mire of the Swamp Loggers haven, I would come here again.

I live here in SC and my nephew was visiting here during his college break from AZ. I decided to take him for a top-down drive in the Jeep up north to see a little of the low country, country-style. On the way we saw the sign for BJs and thought "why not", let's check it out. A little off the beaten path but we found it. The building had an open sign so we popped in, not realizing we opened the door to a small general store. When we asked the nice lady behind the counter about the lounge, she said "give me just a moment and come on over to the door next over." Well heck, it was early on a hot weekday but we were not disappointed. Shirley greeted us at her and her husband's lounge with cold drinks, snacks, and friendly conversation. What a treat! It reminded me of why I love South Carolina. Their lounge has a wonderful old jukebox, sports memorabilia, and an assortment of things to drink, of course. It was a pleasant surprise and we were so glad to have found the place. Me and my nephew won't forget the warm-hearted conversation with Shirley and I guarantee we'll be back. If you're in the area, don't shy away from the short detour off the main drag. It will be worth it. It's all about the people.
