Open faced Roast Beef with mashed potatoes and gravy
    Tiffanie C.

This was first visit here. I'll start with the good points: 1) The restaurant is upstairs and offers a beautiful view of the lake. 2) You can put your boat in here and there is a store to purchase supplies on the first floor. 3 They sell their own merchandise like T-shirts, hats, koozies, & flip flops. The BAD: 1) no wears masks, but then alot of restaurants are no longer wearing masks so I'm not too upset by that , but others might take that into account. 2) They have a limited menu of beer and wine. Available in bottles (beer), cans (beer) , or Single serving bottles of wine. 3) their menu has changed somewhat from the previous menu, but most of those new items are no longer available. (Such as the basket of onion rings, the chicken breast dinner, and the Buffalo chicken potato skins. 4) the FOOD: I was drawn to their open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. The place filled up as I was eating, so I have to say that for my visit maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? But I Feel that if something is on the menu, EVERYTHING should be great. My meal was so dissatisfying! I was very hungry, so I did eat it, but it should have been better. My roast beef was sliced thin and would be great as a philly cheese steak sandwich. But it was almost cold. The gravy on top was just barely warm, like I totally didn't need to blow on it at all. They also served it on a piece of plain, un-toasted white bread, which quickly turned to mushy glue. The mashed potatoes were ok, but also barely warm. The Green beans tasted awesome, they had small pieces of well cooked bacon in them, but again they weren't hot at all. My recommendation is to order something they have to cook fresh, like a burger.

What a hidden gem!!! My husband and I were on the way back from Hilton Head and were in the mood for some fresh flounder and fries. We found this place on Yelp and I'm so glad we did! The food was great. We both had their fried flounder platter. The fries are especially good; crunchy and perfectly seasoned outside and soft on the inside. Honestly it was all so good it was gone before I got a chance to get a picture of it! Our server was wonderful--also made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped inside to check the place out. So glad we found this place, thanks to Yelp! Will be back again. Great place!!

We were staying at Santee park and decided to run down to this place to check it out. You can also go by boat but I'm glad we didn't because I was too stuffed to bump around in a boat after eating. Waitress and owner were super nice. There were a few locals inside having a few cold ones and playing some arcade games. My husband and I both order cheeseburgers and fries with fried pickles as an app. We were served super fast. Good was hot and great tasting. Did I mention the fries were hand cut? They were awesome. I will definitely be back next year on our next fishing trip!

Great food and service! The fish tacos and fries were very tasty. Right on the water too, can't beat that.

Food is awesome. We especially love their steak and onion rings. Always nice and cold inside on hot Summer days.

Captains Quarters is just across the street. Yelp showed great reviews and the menu was super appealing. Mix of seafood, steaks and just good home cooking. It opens at 5pm for dinner weekdays. We got there about 6 to a pretty large crowd already. Apparently the locals know . Gypsy was our amazing server. Sweet and super knowledgeable. She's this places best advertisement. She had great tips on the whole menu. She was spot on for the red sauce. Chicken parm was perfectly tender. Sauce was like Nonnas. Recommendation to do the shrimp blackened was perfect. Way too much food for sure but she did warn that we would not go home hungry!! Beer was cold. Wine recommended was perfect and did we mention Ms Ellie? Ms E is an amazing young lady who stood watch on the whole dining room. With a hawklike gaze she quickly recognized a table needing bussed or a chair needing straightened And didn't need a prompt. Her quick action ensured table turn times were super Low. Please recognize her hard work. She's making everyone money!!! We stopped by to show her our appreciation on our way out and she lit up . Two big meals. Beer and wine and I was embarrassed how small our bill was. What a great bargain and great find. We booked the same hotel for our April trip so we can come back here!! See ya soon Gypsy!!

Tourist trap! Very high prices for the portions. Food had to be returned because it wasn't Hot. How…read moredo you serve lukewarm food if you take it directly from the chef to the table? The waitress did the bare minimum of taking the order and nothing else. On top of that, they charge an additional 3-5% after taxes for using a debit card. By the lack of upkeep on the grounds, entryway, paint and carpet, you can see that they focus on quantity rather than quality.

I was a little late for lunch so I was the only one in there at 2pm. A few more folks came in after though. The young girl who seated and served me was really nice. I ordered the pulled pork and pimento cheese egg rolls and the jalapeño burger. The egg rolls came out but then she immediately came back and said they were the southwest ones by accident and she would get the right ones. My burger and fries came out next and then the original egg rolls I ordered. I tried both to compare but they were huge so I definitely couldn't finish them. I actually liked the southwest ones better anyway. I think they were supposed to come with a dipping sauce but I think she forgot with the mixup. She also mentioned that I wouldn't be charged for the extra order of egg rolls which I thought was funny because it wasn't my mistake in the first place. The spicy burger was great so I definitely enjoyed that. The service was a little slow but I think she got flustered after the egg roll mixup. Like I mentioned, she was really nice. And the cook came out to ask how everything was as well. If you're in town and looking for a good lunch, I would definitely recommend checking them out. They have ice cream and milk shakes too if you're looking for that.
