Issue not addressed or even really looked at. Came in for skin condition and Dr. Weltman barely glanced at it and gave me general bad advice. Now, 3 years later, the issue has spread over most of my body. I'm not rich and had to donate a lot of plasma to afford the original appt, which left me mortified and frustrated and feeling like a 2nd class citizen. The overall impression from this location is that they are more interested in doing superficial cosmetic procedures on overly entitled rich people. At this point, it's probably just better if I die. I certainly left feeling unworthy of help since I got no real service. Want to make it right? Refund me. My husband can put it towards my cremation. read more

I have been going to Water's Edge for about 3yrs and have always seen a PA or ARNP and had good service. I saw Dr. Weltman for the first time. I saw him 2x in June 2026 and this was a joke. Both times he was in room no more than approx 5 minutes. I saw the medical asst longer then him. My biggest problem is I have 2 health insurances and have never had to pay a copay but his 2 visits cost me at each visit 30.47 and 31.88 because he charges out rages prices for his visits. 1st one was 270.04 for approx 5 -7 min and the 2nd visit he charged 189.12 for less than 5 minutes. I canceled all future appt with him. Once I get over being angry I might go back but to only see a PA or ARNP. read more

I went to Water's Edge Dermatology in Palm Bay, FL for treatment on June 2nd and I paid my copay when signing in. Approx. 2 weeks later I got an invoice for another copay which I had paid on my appointment date. I called them and said that this was a double billing and did not owe it. Got nowhere. I then contacted my insurance company and they said the same thing that it was a double billing and then they contacted them 3 times with no response back. Then I contacted the Better Business Bureau and they contacted them and they did respond back to them saying that they would contact me and get this resolved but as of today, September 7th I have had no phone call, letter, or email from them so they lied to the BBB. I have contacted a number of people regarding this situation and checked with a legal consultant and they all say this was a double billing and I should have received a credit because it was definitely a double billing and if they did this to me how many other patients are being double billed and pay it not knowing what is happening. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you decide to go there, do your homework and check them out in all ways. I will say their service is very good but they have a major accounting/billing problem that needs to be corrected and getting a lot of money fraudulently, as I was informed also by them doing this. Dr. Varghese's bedside manner is poor. He rushes in, spends very little time, does not do an exam, and leaves with no explanation or discussion. Waters Edge is a chain that was acquired by a private equity group, and like most such businesses the cost increases and the quality decreases. My wife is sixty eight years old, is bed bound for days at a time as well as having cognitive difficulties. Several weeks ago she had several biopsies performed. She got a call from this office explaining the findings and her options to proceed. Several days later she told me about the call but could not remember the options. She called and made an appointment for us to go into your office and have a meeting to learn more about her choices. Today we had a 1PM appointment. Teresa is scheduled to have shoulder replacement surgery and her cancer spots are in line with where the surgeon plans to cut. We needed to get some idea off the time required for her to heal from the cancer removal. We have been dealing with the requirements associated with the surgery and hoped to have your provider help us understand. The Nurse Practitioner walked in. She never introduced herself and.started to explain the biopsy results. I started to ask questions. On the scales of skin cancer, how serious is what she has? If she has it cut out appropriately how long should it take to heal? At that point she snapped at me and told me that she was talking to the patient. To which I told her that Teresa has cognitive impairments and that is why I was asking questions. Her answer was that she never has more that the patient in the room with her and told me if Teresa wanted to continue then I must leave the room. She walked out and we were told we would have to reschedule. I tried to talk to the office manager would just looked at me like everything I said were in one ear and out the next. Sadly, I never got the gal's name but if you check out today's appointments you will find Teresa at 1PM. We have utilized the services of Waters Edge for over ten years between your Palm Beach Gardens location or Palm Bay. I am certain that you would never condone your employee's behavior which is why I have taken the time to notify you of my experience. I have been a patient at Waters's edge dermatology in Palm Bay for as long as it's been open. I have had excellent care most of the time. I had an appointment today, which had the ti changed. I knew about the change, but forgot about the time. I would've been 15 minutes late. I called, told Chrystal where I was in route. I was told I could not be seen. Do you know how many times I sat in their waiting room far longer than 15 minutes. I understand they have a schedule, but they "were already running behind". The reason I'm most upset is that this was a follow up appointment, 3 weeks, and the next available appointment is in the middle of February. WHAT??! After waiting 3 months to be seen, this office made zero attempts to get medical records from my previous doctor. They were extremely dismissive, the doctor didn't even speak to me directly, he came in and out of the room in less than 3 minutes. I arrived early for my skin-check appt found myself in the waiting room with about 10 other folks waiting to get in. I was wondering how much of my day it would eat and was disappointed that Dr Weltman took it out of our visit time. He came in while I was still undressing so I rushed into a gown. Even after knowing I have had skin cancer removed didn't bother to check anyplace that wasn't readily visible (under bra, panties, scalp, toes, etc). Said I looked fine but never pulled out a light or magnifying glass. Asked me if anything was bothering me and froze off 2 raised spots that had recently popped up. Wasn't with me more than 10min and charged me $491. Really made me miss the kind, thorough care of my Seattle derm, where I've gladly dropped thousands of dollars annually. During my initial exam in Palm Bay where I pointed out a few areas that looked and felt suspicious I thought they did a reasonable job. They took skin samples that returned basil cell results. They said they would contact me to schedule removal because that facility did not have the capability. After a month of no contact I called and they said someone would get in contact. After another several weeks of nothing and then a voice mail from them that I should call I did with no answer several times. I'm giving up on this facility. A waist of time! I don't think the people are bad they just don't have the proper infrastructure to run the business. read more

I was a patient until today. I went once or twice a year for the last five years. Last visit in December 2022 the doctor offered to treat a pre-cancerous area by zapping it, or providing me with cream. I chose to get zapped. I was on my way out of town for business and did not look at the spot until I arrived at my destination. I then realized that the Dr. treated the wrong area. I called immediately to let them know, and they told me to come back for a follow up appointment which was today. They wanted to charge me for this appointment and to write me a prescription when I already paid for the original visit and the treatment which she did incorrectly! I understand that to write a prescription, they have to show a doctors visit. I don't understand their decision to charge me for another office visit. I do not have the same financial privilege as the doctor and therefore I cannot afford another appointment fee at this time. I was very polite in my discussion but decided to find another dermatologist. I'm disappointed in their decision to charge me again for something that the Dr. made a mistake on originally! I have had a similar experience to Tim W. We suspended a prescription treatment weeks ago due to side effects. I fasted and did lab work within days of this. 3 weeks now and no word on my result and whether or not I will resume treatment at a lower dose. Though it is next to impossible to speak to a live person, I got hold of a staff member once who was very condescending, I was pleasant, she was not. I wondered if she spoke to everyone that contributes to her paycheck this way or if it was just me. Left a couple messages and still no word. Most of my experiences here have been positive but this one bad experience is going to leave a stain. read more

Although Dr. Varghese seems ok, the staff at the Palm Bay facility is horrific. I needed a prescription refill and after 7 calls and multiple unreturned messages, I had to drive a half hour to the office. They said they hadn't received the messages and were understaffed. What's funny is that one of my calls went to Orlando and they tried to get a response from this office without success. The Palm Bay office promised they would follow up. Guess what? Additional messages left this week with no returned calls, so I'll be making the half hour drive again. Their lack of concern for a patient who needs a refill is very disappoinitng. read more

Do not go to Jennifer Rivera. Waited an hour (appointment was at 3:15 but the office staff told me to be there NLT 3 because they switched to a new computer system). Stuck my head out of my room door at 4 and asked if I would be seen soon. Jennifer Rivera was standing right there with the office staff and said she'd be helping me in a few minutes. I said "Ok because I've been here for an hour". She responded "I stopped in but you were in the bathroom". Yes, 50 minutes into my wait there, my daughter has to use the bathroom, which was the door right next to the room I was in. That didn't excuse the length of time I had waited. A few minutes later, she came into the room and stated that I had only been there for 45 minutes, to which I responded that the office staff said I had to be there at 3, so 4 p.m. made it an hour wait. I then was informed that the prescription she had previously prescribed was not for the condition I was looking to address, so I had spent 3 months and $140 on a useless prescription. I told her I was going to leave right then. There's too many service providers out there for me to accept rude and inaccurate service. It's a shame because I now have to spend more of my time, which is just as valuable as her time, going to another provider. On my way out, she told me that they would mail me the bill. I guess I must have really hit a nerve when I asked if I was going to have to wait beyond the hour I had already waited. Awesome customer service, Jennifer Rivera. Want to schedule many appointments over many months and have nothing done? If you have something that needs to get taken care of I recommend going to your primary physician. They took care of my issue in one appointment. These people just want your money from all the appointments for doing virtually nothing. I will never go back to any of these in any location. Finding a good primary doctor is best! read more
