Mayra from Pawsitive pet care is amazing. Her communication is great and she takes the cutest pics! 10/10 recommend her services and she is the first I call when we need someone to watch our two kitties. If she isn't available she will also be sure to find another Pawsitive pet care sitter to fill in. She gives so much extra love to my fur babies and has a way with animals (even my sassy boy!). I trust her to make sure they are safe and well cared for while we are gone!

Mayra is super trustworthy and reliable when you need pet care and are out of town. Animals also like her which is important. I was gone for only a couple of days and my cat was already kneading her!!!!! She is also flexible and a genuinely nice person. I am so glad we have her in the area to watch our fur babies read more

First time cat owner here. My husband and I hired Mayra for a few drop ins while we were on a 10 day vacation. During our meet & greet, she spent about an hour at our home getting to know us and our 8 month old kitten, MoonKnight while answering all our questions. This was our first time hiring a pet sitter and being away from MoonKnight for more than 4 days. Mayra's knowledge and experience with caring for cats as she has her own reassured us of our decision to hire her. She even accommodated a last minute emergency drop in request when I noticed on our camera footage that MoonKnight accidentally closed his kennel door while playing near it. This wouldn't be such a big deal if his litter pan wasn't located inside his kennel. I was at the airport and feeling stressed! I immediately texted Mayra around 7:30 am on a weekday explaining the situation and asked if she could drop in the same day. Thankfully, she responded soon after and accommodated my last minute request. I felt so grateful and relieved. I really appreciated that she didn't give us a hard time as I felt bad for blowing up her phone with texts so early in the morning. I felt at peace leaving for vacation knowing that we could trust Mayra to handle everything. Mayra always arrived early or on time for her drop ins and she would send us photos of MoonKnight while we were away. She's a caring, professional, and experienced cat sitter. We highly recommend her and would hire her again. read more

I absolutely recommend Pawsitive Pet Care for your pet sitting needs! I adore Mayra and love how she is so attentive and caring for my fur baby. I have an elderly, special needs cat that requires oral meds 2x day. I provided instructions on how to administer the medication, and she took great care of my girls needs. A meet and greet is done beforehand, and Mayra is so down to earth and easy to talk to. I felt like we were old friends immediately. I feel so comfortable with my cat and my home in her hands. Have been nothing but impressed with Mayra and Pawsitive Pet Services. They stay with our two elderly whippets and I can tell they deeply care for my animals, even though they are senior dogs with extra issues. I have used them multiple times and can recommend them highly for tender care of pets, respect for the home, following all care instructions including medication, and also general house sitting activities like checking mail and watering plants. I have had pets all my life. I moved to Jacksonville in 2016 and started working with Rover. I realized how much I loved working in the pet industry that I decided to expand. I currently have a sweet kitty and a turtle at home. Both of my senior dogs have made it over the rainbow bridge. My goal is to provide clients with peace of mind while away from their babies. I couldn't be happier with her services. She was on time and followed what we talked about to the exact point. Because we had back to back trips I had to schedule a 3 hr in house pup- sitter. This time we had Kourtney she was always on time. She played, walked and gave Solo hugs and cuddles for their time together. Both Lora and Kourtney were great with Solo. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am that I hired this company - my husband and I were…read moregoing out of town for two whole weeks I spoke with the owner Charlotte and I explained my situation to her and she recommended two 45 minute visits and then a 15 minute at night just for bedtime because my dogs have to stay in a crate if I am not home. I also have two cats and my boy cat needs medication every day. He takes it fairly easy, but you still need somebody who knows what they're doing. So the first visit in the morning is a 45 minute visit the dogs get fed,and they take the time to go outside and really play with the dogs and throw the ball for them and make sure they get their exercise. While they're outside, she came in and gave the cats their wet food and the one his medicine and also cleaned out and checked the litter boxes and the water daily. On either of my first or second day, I got a phone call that there was a lot of blood in the house and one of my cats was bleeding profusely. She sent me a photo and I know the cat had a little red raspberry in that spot and I assume that either he bit it off or it got scratched off. it was quite a bit of blood and it wouldn't stop. Between Dana and Charlotte they took the cat to the vet who numbed the area and did something to stop the bleeding They also knew a Carpet Cleaner who came in the very next day and cleaned my chairs and the carpet. Dana and Charlotte went through and thoroughly cleaned my house because there was blood on the walls, on the floor, and everywhere I can't imagine another pet sitting company going to the degree that they went to to make sure my animals were safe and that my house and furniture was not ruined oh, and every visit I got several photos of each animal, which made me happy as well

Once I arranged the details with Renee, we found out that my dog was missing a shot required by the boarding facility, so Renee and her colleague turned on a dime and made the two stops required to get the situation resolved. They have a strong network in St. Augustine, and were able to recommend a vet that could see the dog immediately. Without Renee I would have been unable to make this happen, and I am so grateful: they truly put the animals needs ahead of everything else. I would recommend them 1,000%.
