We've been Circle members for almost two years now, ever since getting a new car. We've had a pretty solid experience! This location of Waterway is our "home" location and the one we frequent the most. Once you go through the process of a wash a time or two, you get the general flow of how it all works. That said, those first couple times, there's quite the "system" to understand and get used to. They have employees who come to help out with what type of wash you want, and they do a good job of assisting with all aspects. The wash itself is really good! You can really get just about anything from a bare-bones exterior-only wash, all the way up to a full detail, inside and out! To make your money back on the full-monty membership, you'll need to get a weekly full detail wash, and we try pretty hard to do that. The employees are always very professional, very helpful, and they do a great job washing and detailing your car! You can tell they have a good training program and/or culture, as most of the car wash employees appear to be pretty young, but they do an excellent job overall. Why four stars instead of five? Like I said - they ain't giving these things away. The value proposition is really, really tight... Not sure I'd say I feel like I'm getting MORE than what I'm paying for...and it's probably slightly the other way. Just spent $17.00 on a Hot Wax Express wash. Not sure what all the wash includes, but it did not include a prewash as I pulled in. It didn't even wash the dust off my bumpers or remove little amount of bugs off my windshield. I could have done a better job with my garden hose and no soap. In the past I have been very pleased with this place. read more

Unsatisfied. I got a carwash just because I needed to vacuum my vehicle. After the carwash, I pulled into the vacuum and the first attendant told me I could do it myself. Then a second attendant told me I had to pay for the service. As someone who occasionally drops items of value between the seat, I prefer to vacuum my own car. A clear sign or some visible notification would be professional to be upfront with customers. read more

Pays 25 dollars for a carwash that barely cleans the car. I use it for more of a convince. Come to find out they don't wipe the cars anymore. That is only done for the memberships now. There are cheaper places that do it better around town. Windows didn't even come out clean. And still bugs ln windshield. Not worth it read more

Great service inside the store and from the staff working outside in the extreme heat. My vehicle was well taken care of and when I left it looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Don't bother. Starting at the gate, the two guys working in the two booths had no idea what they were doing. On the right side the guy couldn't get the lady taken care of. So I moved to the left side and when I moved to the left side, the guy ran away and went to the gas station area. Absolutely ridiculous. The car wash was garbage and there's better places around town that are a couple dollars cheaper. I'll never come back. read more

This places a joke. Took my wife's car here.. The dash was supposed to be wiped down along with the windows but you have to pay extra to wipe the doors down a task that takes an extra three seconds. Oh and if you want your mats cleaned that's another $6. I used to work at a full service car wash where everything in the interior came with every full-service wash you didn't have to pay extra for anything. Entire interior wipe down, included. Floor mats, included. After my latest visit I find it hard to believe that they even wiped my dash down as it's still full of dust and grim. Stuff that wipes off with my finger should be able to come off with a wet rag or a spray bottle. A lone French fry on the floor board. Long story short. 100% not worth the money. You have to spend $50+ to get a decent interior/exterior clean, that should cost around $25. You're better off going to the places that allow you to use free vacuums and wet rags (with a $15-$20 wash) and taking the 5-10 mins to do it yourself. I wish someone would open up a proper full service car wash. read more

I've been an annual carwash club member for over three years, mainly because the cost is reasonable and the location is fairly convenient. I normally do the express (ride through) wash for the sake of time. The quality of the wash is just OK, but most of the time it's fairly quick to get through the express wash. Today was different, though. They were having a mechanical issue, which I understand, but we customers sat and waited for over 20 minutes before they finally decided to let us at least drive through and be on our way. The problem is not with the fact that there was a mechanical issue, which is rare, but with the fact that it took them so long to let us leave. Being trapped for over 20 minutes is unacceptable. read more

My SUV was filthy with South Dakota bugs and farm dirt. They immediately offered to run it through a second time as a courtesy no charge if needed after the first pass to make sure I was satisfied. It looks great now. My experience was very positive! read more

These folks never get things right. I mean never. Latest screwup is a menu board that offers several options--until you finally get to the person who takes your order who tells you that's not on the winter menu. Not a problem fir the kids working here, who see nothing wrong with this, even though it makes the line even longer because they have to explain this stupidity to nearly every customer. Why not change the menu to what can actually be done today? So stupid, it glows. read more

Paid $51.28 for "The Works". They need to work on their interior clean. What a joke. Nothing wiped down and the windshield had water drips, wet rag marks and was covered with a film (you know that filmy look). I was sure they forgot to do it. It rained the next day so I went back on day 4 and used the free return for "The Works". I specifically mentioned the windshield film. When they were done - after giving another tip to the kids (gave one Saturday), THE SAME THING. The smudgy film, watermarks, and now rag lint. Again, for over $50 it should be spotless. I had driven away by then - into the sun where you can really see it. This doesn't happen elsewhere. I sent them a post on Facebook. I'm sure they'll take it down. I won't go back - not even for their gas. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

Not a fan anymore. Waterway used to the the top place to get an above average car wash in the area. No longer. I have let my membership lapse because of the current low quality. They wait for the tips, but the work is subpar. My floor mats still had tons of dirt. They're rubber, weather mats. Easy to remove the dirt. The car itself still had a dirt smudge from potting soil (easy to remove). The passenger seat still had dirt in it. They all hover waiting for the tip and I hand it over before I have actually had a chance to look at the car. These photos are taken after I got home (7 blocks away). Use your free coupons. This is my go to car wash in the area. They hire the hardest working kids you've ever seen! I love the monthly membership options and they always get my car sparkling clean. I usually get "the whole thing" which includes interior and exterior along with some wheel shine to top it off. Generally I'm in and out within 30 minutes during off peak hours, when it's busy I would say closer to 45 min. They have other wash options that I've used at times such as "full service"which is still and exterior and interior option but does take a little less time if I'm in a hurry. If I am really in a rush or she just needs a freshen up on the outside I'll do the drive through exterior option. This is a good idea during the winter when I've just done the whole thing and promptly driven through a muddy area. They do have their 5 day guarantee though when you purchase the whole thing so it's totally covered against those muddy occurrences... Pro tip: they have the best greeting cards inside for every occasion, be sure to stock up! read more

I've always been a fan of Waterway, especially the College location. Last month however, the lack of attention to detail was pretty obvious. Recently, I've just come to the conclusion that management doesn't care. If there are plenty employees on hand and have the time to goof off, I don't believe being short on staff Or last-minute schedule changes are the reason for the poor service. There should be no excuses. I suggest the owner goes back to secret shoppers, because that ensures that they're giving the high-end level of service that many Waterway customers have come to expect. The other locations are not exactly convenient but if it means the job will be done right, that's where my business will go. *UPDATE* Since my post, management reached out to address the quality of service and that clearly shows that they care. I'll continue to go back and eventually hope to rate them 5 stars. read more

Just got a wash here for the first time. I have an older car that I wanted to get cleaned up a little to sell. I went with the "whole thing" package for $48! Very poorly cleaned, lots of grime and debris in obvious places. I wasn't expecting a new car when I left the place, but this is almost like I never even had it cleaned! my wife went to one of these places awhile ago(can't remember which one) and when I saw the job they did for her I was pretty unimpressed. I've learned my lesson for good now. Won't be back. Gave two stars because at least they have poor service with a smile. Overall waste of time and money, don't even like taking the time to write these reviews. read more

I had purchased the Full service option. No problem with the amount of time needed, however it would be best if they actually cleaned down the dash with out a dirty towel, which looks worse than before with their attempt! And did not bother to wipe down anything else including instrument panel! Didn't touch the center console either! Towel lint all over windows! read more

My regular Waterway is great. The staff are personable and will go the extra mile to take care of my truck. While there is some turnover, the staff are usually well trained and always ask if everything looks okay. At that point it's up to me to point out any deficiencies, which they immediately take care of and are generally cheerful about it. Why a four and not a five then?? I think it's a little pricey for the value and I'm usually great about paying for maintenance and good experiences with staff. At the end of the day, I would think someone who comes as regularly as I do, routinely fills their gas tank with 25+ gallons of gas, and is a monthly paying member would be able to earn some rewards. I have had a membership for several years now. After reading reviews, I felt the need to chime in a little. This is a step up from your typical car wash. Typical car wash, if pull through is $6-$15 depending which service you get. It does the job, but not well, and nothing done on the inside. Then you hand dry it if you care to. Now you have Waterway. You pay double if that, and you get your car hand dried. Pay a little more and get the inside cleaned up. For a circle membership $70ish a month, is where your value is. This is unlimited washes. If you are passing through, I believe its $32. It's going to be better than a car wash. If anything is a real issue, ask them to correct it and they will on the spot. They don't hover to get their tip. They are there asking if everything looks alright, and to fix anything that doesn't. It seems many here are expecting a $200 car detail for $32 and your simply not going to get that, nor should you. Would we like to? Of course, but that's not what your paying for. Everyone is always friendly, and my car is always a lot better than when it comes in. I also come in many times per month. Never having an issue once with staff. These are young kids that are working harder than most adults do, and sometimes in terrible weather such as today. (-5 degrees out.) It you do need your car cleaned in this weather, let them know they can crank the Heater/seats, whatever they need to do, to make your car look better than you could do. Or go buy $50-$100 worth of cleaning supplies and tempt fate in the -5 out, and let me know if it was worth it. read more

Spent $57 on the "whole thing" car wash. They told me console, doors, dashboard, seats etc. would be cleaned. I have a four door small SUV. This photo was taken immediately after my car was "cleaned" by waterway. I'm so disappointed and will never be going back. Green lantern is a much better choice when someone would like their car cleaned inside and out. read more

Beware! I live about 15 miles from this Carwash and only drive through when I was in town. On Feb 10 th I went to renew the membership. I was trusting, busy and in a hurry. Instead of renewing at the level I was on, they boosted me to the highest level. Crooks! Called customer service and the representative tells me they'd started charging me at the lowest level. He has to check to see if I get any kind of refund. Hmmm. I guess 2 exterior only Carwashes cost 100 dollars. This ONE star is to the acting manager who was "In Charge" on August 4, 2019. Some young punk kid whom I never met but whom surely didn't exhibit all options to expedite a problem created by Audrey the cashier. Audrey made a simple mistake and I'm ok with that and the business itself is great. The young crew there did an excellent job and seemed fairly friendly and competent. Not getting into the Customer Service details concerning my incident, I'll just repeat again that the manager on that day needs further adult training. I had to call the sister location on 8110 W 135th St to ask the acting manager (Patrick Cruz) on duty to help out getting the problem solved. He expedited results in less than 10 minutes. Color me Not Impressed. I paid for the Whole Thing package and I was giddy with anticipation. I figured their washes must be great because they were always busy. I could see those workers out on the lot everyday, working their tails off. For starters, there was a wait. Not just any wait but a loooooong wait. I understand about them being busy. I have no problem with waiting if a thorough job is going to be done. The wait time kept getting pushed back and I swear I saw people getting out who were in the waiting room after I got there. I ended up being called outside to get my car but they were not finished. Not exactly sure why they called me out to my car when they were still working on but I stood by like a third wheel. I got to see their operation first hand and I think they are focused on speed. Get the cars done quickly and focus on the numbers, not the quality. Some of the workers seemed to be clowning around and not doing much. My car was semi-clean. The outside was mostly clean but the hub caps had not been touched and there was no evidence of hand washing. There were fingerprints all over my car, too. The inside had not been thoroughly cleaned by any account. There was scant evidence the car had been vacuumed well. I found crumbs and paper scrap-ees on the floor. It is not difficult to determine if you have vacuumed a car or not. Again, their focus is on quick and not thorough. I was sorely disappointed. I expected my car to be much cleaner. Initially, I thought the price was just right for the job but I changed my mind after I saw the finished product. I will not be back. I wish they would have done a better job because it was convenient for me since they are right across the street from work. Boo Hoo. Spend your car wash money elsewhere. read more

I've given them multiple chances but they continue to be disappointing. When you pay for a service and then have to ask them to fix multiple things that they completely ignored, it's frustrating. They asked me if they could touch up anything else, I was over it so said no and left. Saw these things when I got home. NO, I shouldn't have to ask you to touch up things. I came here on a super busy day (kinda) I give them that! It was a beautiful day after a snowy week so yes everyone wanted their cars cleaned....That in mind, I usually go to the 135th and 69 Highway location, this is my first time at this location and I don't think I'll ever come back. I came w/ intentions of getting "the whole thing" or whatever it's called, it's a $35 car wash usually. Well for some reason on this day they didn't have it and suggested some "Snowy Premium Wash" $22, which was the highest wash they had. I explained to the guy that I'd never been to this location and I usually do "the whole thing" and that's what I wanted, and he pretty much as I'm saying this.....is suggesting this $22 wash and said they're not doing the wash I wanted today because they're busy, and writes down what I'm getting and damn near throws the ticket in my window.....(now, I'm doing some breathing because my toddlers are in the car, and I just tell myself to not say anything, just don't ever come back!) So basically they washed and vacuumed and dried my car in about 12mins....my car is black and I still see water spots and the inside wasn't wiped down as clean as usual but I didn't say anything because I wasn't happy w/ the first person I interacted at this place w/ and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Stopped in there because truck was dirty and thought I might get it cleaned up. I cannot believe how poor of a job was done. There are still bugs on the front bumper and grill. Inside dust was still on ledge in front of the dashboard and above radio and LCD screen. The running boards to get into the truck had not been wiped, little shiny spots but most of the chrome was still dirty and dull gray from road grime. I won't even go into the tires and wheels, no better than if I had put my thumb over the end of a hose and sprayed them. I thought for $31.55 my truck would be clean, guess not. read more

Waterway Carwash by far is the Best Carwash in the Kansas/MO area. Attention to detail. There clean car club is the most economical deal.

First time at this particular Waterway and I was very impressed. I've often thought that I'd get better service at the one on State Line if it wasn't so busy, and my experience here proves that. There were only 2 other cars here plus me. It was early morning, right after they'd opened. I just did the drive-thru wash to get bug & bird debris off. I didn't need the car interior attended to. The young man who led me through the drive-thru was super thorough. He used the hose for several minutes on my car just getting the goop off and then guided me through to get the rest of the car clean. I really appreciated the care and time he took. Tim, the manager, dried my car off for me and also did a superior job. I hope this level of service is always present here, and they don't cut corners when it's busier like the branch on State Line does. read more

Stopped by there yesterday and got their full service car wash. They did a crappy job. I spend this morning cleaning what they did not. Also there were water spots all over my car when I got home. That tells me they didn't wipe down the car. I won't be going back. read more

I appreciate that even the basic package comes with a hand dry. The guys are quick and friendly, and the precast has given areas a little extra attention when asked. I have not tried the full service but always well staffed and prompt, happy employees. read more
