I absolutely adore Grimaldi's! We started out with a small Mediterranean and Caesar salad and they were both fresh and well-dressed. I don't think we took down even one whole salad, they were huge!!! For the pizza, we ordered the classic Brooklyn Bridge. To me, this is the perfect slice! The undercarriage has the perfect char, the ricotta adds the perfect sweetness, and don't even get me started on the sauce!!! The best part, however, are the pizza bubbles. Wow. What a great pizzeria. This was possibly the best pizza I've ever had in the KC area. We were shown to our table and greeted immediately by our server, Abby. She gave us time to check the drink menu and then we ordered the small antipasto which was amazing. Our pizza and wine came and the crust was crisp with just the right amount of char. Tried this local Neighbourhood pizzeria takeout, which is located in the beautiful prairie fire complex next to AMC theaters. I always had a wish to sit there outside on a nice evening and have a pizza, but it didn't go as planned because there was a music event happening and it was hard to find parking and it was too crowded but a lot of fun. We ended up ordering Tuscan veggie white pizza it took them 20 minutes to make it. I arrived the place and found this place to be super neat good and very huge inside and there was an amazing patio seating which can definitely accommodate like 25 people outside very aesthetic interiors of decent bar more than everything amazing staff. They were so kind and nice. They had taken care of me really well We came back home with a warm, huge pizza. It was delicious. The bread was so delicate and nice that I couldn't even spare the sides as well. The cheese was melting in the mouth. The flour of the pizza was absolutely delicious. Ham, Mushrooms and garlic made for a really tasty, crispy, thin crust slice brimming with flavor after adding their Parm mix cheese at the table and some pepper flakes. Did I have to add that "forget about it!" Their Tiramisu for desert is scrumptiously delicious as well. Best pizza in town, of this type (charcoal oven, thin slice). My 86 yr old mom isn't able up get out often, but when she's in this area it is Grimaldi's she wants to go when dining out. We had a great evening dining outside. The staff were welcoming and attentive. I wish I could remember our server as she was great. I believe she's served us before. Grimaldis is one of our favorite places when it comes to pizza, unfortunately we have noticed a decline in the management, I called to make a reservation on a Friday two hours before close and got hung up on? There was another situation during a very cold night in December where we were eating our meal and they had the back door propped open for an employee to go out back... ruined the dining experience as i had a cold breeze on me the whole dinner. After a long weekend at the soccer fields, we decided it was a pizza night. Grimaldi's was somewhat close so we decided to order online for pick-up. The online ordering process was easy especially when making additions or adjustments to the pizza itself. The pickup time quoted was SPOT ON, it was hot and ready when they said it would be which I appreciated. We ordered the Original and the White Garlic both 16". The Original was delightful, the marinara sauce was different sweet and zingy, but we really liked it and the garlic was a favorite of everybody. 2 16" pizzas fed our family of 5 (3 adults, and two tweens) perfectly. Finally tried this pizza place in Overland Park and we were pleasantly surprised. First off our service was fantastic! Ash was our server and she was super helpful and attentive. Also had the large Caesar salad which was enough for the 4 of us to have plenty of salad. Great dressing and plenty of shaved Parmesan and croutons. Had the 18" margherita pizza. The crust was a unique mix of Napolitano and New York styles. It had the crisp and light texture of Napolitano, but more gluten like a New York style. Finished off with the Oreo cheesecake and tiramisu. My only critique, and it's minor, use stronger coffee to soak the ladyfingers for the tiramisu. The host suggested we use the app to register and we got an appetizer for free. Waitress was attentive without being overbearing. Reminded me of the service in Italy. We will back to try more. Simply the best. I wish I've tried more things to write about but we keep ordering a large Pepperoni Pizza & Large Caesar Salad. Their Caesar dressing is amazing, I always ask for extra. Get ranch on the side for the pizza. One down thing is we went to eat in person one day & they didn't greet us or tell us anything, we just stood there forever. I recently had family in town, and we wanted to do something easy their first night after a travel day. We landed on pizza at Grimaldi's. Our visit started a bit awkwardly as the host began to sit us at a corner table right next to another party when the rest of the restaurant was empty. I asked if we could be seated at another table and we were quickly obliged. We ordered the largest size of The Don for our party of 4. The pizza at Grimaldi's is a bit on the pricier end. However, you can tell the ingredients are high quality and they do not skimp on the toppings. The crust on the coal-fired, brick oven pizza is great. I cannot recall the name of our server, but she was great. Very attentive and helpful answering a couple quick questions on the menu. Grimaldi's definitely has a family restaurant feel to it. I probably won't go back too soon as I typically just order pizza to-go rather than dine-in. I would classify Grimaldi's as a sit-down pizza spot. Best fresh out the brick oven! read more

I bet there wasn't one whole mushroom and not even a small handful of sausage. Looking at the picture you can see that almost a third of the crust has nothing on it. They want everyone to have the same pizza as their original location in New York. It means so much they keep the same ingredients and recipes exact. How , they even have someone come to Kansas or Arizona locations. They test the water that's is used in the pizza crust. I don't know how but they make the local water taste just like it came out of the faucet in New York area. If that doesn't make you want to try the pizza, of a company that goes to that much effort to give you a great taste, qualify and pizza. Then you probably should just order frozen or a box store. We ordered a large pepperoni with extra cheese, what we got was a large sheet of charcoal with some pepperoni and not much cheese! We responded to their email asking if we enjoyed our pizza by explaining the bad experience we had, but they never responded back! At least an acknowledgment that they messed up and would try harder next time would have been appreciated, but I guess they either didn't care, or they have so many complaints they just ignore them! It's really too bad, because they were becoming one of our go to places for pizza. Not anymore! Grimaldi's is a wonderful pizza restaurant, a bit fancier than most but still a relaxed atmosphere. For drinks we had an Italian Margarita which was perfectly sweet. My mother had an espresso martini which had the most deliciously sugared rim, that tasted like brown sugar and cinnamon. For appetizers we had a small Cesar salad, which is definitely large enough to split, and a Caprese Salad which was average. For pizza we split a 16" Brooklyn Bridge with red onions and it was SO GOOD. The ricotta cheese on top was the nicest flavor pared with the red peppers and sausage. If you like a floppier thin crust pizza then this place is for you. Overall our experience was great and our server was attentive and nice. As for prices, it is a bit pricey but well worth it for a nice dinner. For two people, three cocktails, a salad, an appetizer, and a pizza, we spent $100. Highly recommend!!! read more
