Went back today (3/22/26) after a long break from using this place due to consistently poor job compared to price. Seems to actually have gotten worse. Paid $45 for "The Whole Thing" which, surprise! Doesn't include the whole thing. Had to pay $10 more to have mats washed and hatch area vacuumed, neither of which actually got done to any real extent (see photos). I sat for 25 minutes watching the guy sitting sideways out my car doing nothing or heaven knows what. This was after being directed to leave a line where the 2 guys were actually doing their job nicely. Anyhow, the things they don't do that I think are reasonable to expect; wipe door jams, of all hatches and doors, vacuum areas specifically paid for, clean the windows, clean the dash and the instrument cluster, wash the floor mats that you pay extra to have washed, wipe down the car from remaining wet after the auto wash, wipe headlights, tail lights, and side view mirrors, clean wheels. I'll throw a couple pics in. About the best I can say is the wash got rid of some built up grime from the weather. The service provided is crap. I think it must be because in that areas they only cater to people who drive very expensive cars. I just drive a Mazda so my car is probably half the value of the average customer and doesn't warrant any real care in their minds. About the best I can say is at the end of the day it's just car wash. I'll get it cleaned up somewhere else and I wasted $55.00 and tax knowing after years of avoiding the place, it was likely to disappoint. ​ read more

They do a terrible job. Dont vacuum...left windows spotted and dont wash anythikg. Basically only exterior. Everything is extra.

I use Waterway mainly in the winter to get salt underneath washed off. When winters over I do a thorough clean inside & out. So far my experience has been good. I do wish it was so costly. When it first opened I signed up for weekly washes. But had to stop because of the cost. My experience there has always been good. read more

Used to come here a lot. Even bought my wife a membership. While cleaning my wife's Tesla, they managed to break the touchscreen (cracked screen), leaving most features of the car inoperable. The car had not even left the parking lot before my wife brought it to the attention of the manager. They denied any wrongdoing. The car was in valet mode. You can't put the car in valet mode without the touch screen. The only reasonable conclusion was that the guy cleaning the interior leaned on over and put pressure on the screen which caused it to crack. Long story short, they denied it completely. We put in a complaint with corporate, they denied. We had to pay 1500 to fix the issue. We had to sue them in Shaker Heights Municipal Court (shaker heights court system covers multiple suburbs including pepper pike). We won at trial. They continued to not pay the judgment, and eventually had to have our attorney threaten additional action if they didn't pay with interest, which they finally did. Waterway Pepper Pike has gone steadily downhill. Their service is poor and the cost is high. My choice not to return but it started out as such a great company and is not worth it at all anymore. The workers attitudes are terrible as well. Don't waste your money. read more

I have not been to waterway Pepperpike in months. I live 40 minutes away, and in the past have been willing to drive to get quality service, in particular what used to be the Works, Now! called the whole thing. 45 per and 100 for three. I spent 100 and would have been further ahead to drive my car through any car wash in lake county, rather than drive the 40 mins. Inside was untouched! Mats were dirty. When I ask if the mats had been done, the employee told me he did the best he could. It's snowing. OK, I will accept that. It is snowing today. But my car is heated. Why wasn't the cupholder vacuumed? Why wasn't the dashboard wiped? That has nothing to do with the snow. I won't be making this drive again. I wish I had read recent reviews, and I could've avoided making it today. read more

Very disappointing service. I was there with my partner a month ago. We paid $40 for what is supposed to be a full car cleaning service. As we were leaving, we noticed that the cleaning hadn't been done properly. We approached the shift manager, who apologized, and they cleaned our car again to try to leave us with a good impression, even giving us a free wash for next time. We returned today for another wash, and the same issue occurred - the car wasn't cleaned properly. It really gives the impression that they don't care about the customer. Ordered the $45 cleaning. Tipped $20. But when I go or in the vehicle. As d drive off, I was horrified by the poor inside job that was done! Before the young man began cleaning the inside, I specifically went to him and asked that he take extra care and I would be sure to compensate extra. Dashboard had a dusty spot untouched approx. 4"x5". I redid the dashboard. There was makeup on my door still and the back seat still had whatever markings on the leather. The eyeglass tray at the console on the floor still had lint, food crumbs and whatever else, although I intentionally moved the sunglasses for it to get cleaned. In side windows were not thoroughly cleaned either. I pointed out a couple of stains as I got in my vehicle and the young, sandy brown curly haired teen grabbed his cleaning spray and removed one spot of makeup. The floors looked good,, wonderful job. I stopped by this waterway because they are full service. I could have done a better job doing my own car. I was told they do interior vacuuming, windows and a wipe down included in the 45 dollar price. I understand that it was 16 degrees today and it would not be pristine. However, they chose to do beyond the bare minimum. I was waived over and told my car was done. They did not do the trunk stating I needed to ask. They completely skipped the windows. I know this because I took my dash cam down, the marks still remained. They didn't vacuum my passenger seat. They even left me the wet towel that had no cleaner on it. One could probably hire a child and they would do a better job. Save your coins 45 plus tip and I feel ripped off. read more

They are very nice but they always have a different excuse as to why they fall miserably short. Today I paid for the 45.00 car wash. There was a guy in front f me upset because they never cleaned anything inside, I watched them open my doors. I got home and boy am I pissed. They never opened my back SUV. I called the manager he asked me if I paid the 4.00 up charge to have the back cleaned. How would I know there's an up charge he was surprised nobody told me. 45.00 car wash plus 4.00 to actually have your whole car cleaned. This is my first review I've ever written, but I usually love waterway and think they do a decent job. But, I specifically came here today for the first time in months because I had a dog in the back of my car and she left some dirt and easy removable stains that I just didn't want to deal with. When I got back in my car after the "clean" the backseat looked the exact same and they didn't even touch my trunk, in which I specifically told them I would like everything vacuumed. I usually don't go to any car washes but since I was out of town I decided to go. I read the reviews as usual and decided to go. The reviews were mixed so I decided to come to the heights for service. The car that Waterway cleaned was definitely in need of some love. They did just an ok job. I don't know if they offer any detailing but the car looked better than when I drove it in. The plus side is that they give you a coupon that last for a week or so for you to come back to get another car wash free of charge. The only complaint was that whoever cleaned the car decided to keep the change that was in the cup holder and door way. I wasn't upset but when I saw it was missing and not put in another location I just assumed that was the tip. The ladies inside were nice and I had no real contact with the crew that actually cleaned the car. I will go back before my coupon expires. read more

No real change since last time. I would like to add that the attendants inside are friendly and helpful (but only if you go inside, which is rare for us) but the outside situation is largely unchanged from my previous review. Everyone looks like they would rather be anywhere else... I would also like to mention that if they dry your car, make sure they use a clean towel as we had them dry ours several months ago and they used a dirty towel. Then we had wonderful swirls of dirt/salt until getting it rewashed. So, I cannot recommend ever having the folks at Waterway dry your car. Just rely on the dryer and go; you save the tip money and still have a clean car after leaving. read more

Poor experience. I would not recommend this place. Allowed the young kid to talk me into paying more than I was expecting. Out the door, $26 for the wash and $4 tip...$30 for a car that isn't vacuumed well and outside of car is still dirty. Maybe if you pay more money you get a clean car? For $30, you will need to stop somewhere to get it washed on the way home. I am really amazed at what I pulled away with. I signed up for an Interior Clean car wash subscription when there was a promotion this spring. After 2 months paying $28. my credit card was charged almost twice the initial amount - I was never told there would be an increase after 2 months, but I paid it none the less. On June 24th I had my car washed and attempted to cancel the subscription in person, but was told I had until the end of the month and I could call or cancel online. Today, Saturday, June 29, I tried to do just that, but was told that today is my "billing day" and my account is in the "grace period" and cannot be cancelled by the location manager. This information was never specified at any time to me. Now I must wait until someone from corporate Customer Service responds to my calls and email. Waterway in Pepper Pike gives terrible customer service and I am now convinced they knowingly keep info from being told to keep customers who do not keep a close eye on their credit card bills. The physical car wash was fair to good. Always some spots missed by some workers but it is the Waterway Business policies that are bad and misleading. read more

My favorite place to wash my car! Although it's almost 20 miles from the place where I live, I still like to come here. It's slightly expensive- 33$, but they clean the car inside and outside! And that they clean car from inside is what matters for me. Plus, if you choose 33$ package, you get a coupon to comeback in five days and get same cleaning for free, YAY! Besides, you can ask for supervisor check, and the supervisor will check your vehicle if it is cleaned properly. They offer memberships, have gas station and small store inside. read more

I went to have my car washed yesterday July 19th 2020 and I was prepared to vacuum it out but then it started raining. I returned today with my receipt and asked if I could vacuum it today. She checked to see which wash I had and she said no but the vacuum is only for washes about a certain price point ($17.28 after taxes). I told her I was fine with doing it myself and she said no we don't do that here. I think there needs to be a better alternative, especially now with the Coronavirus. Having people wipe down and dry and vacuum your car after just being in someone else's car who could potentially have it and they now put you indirectly in contact with it does not seem like a good business practice. read more

Waterway car wash is a godsend. They have great customer service skills, and a great product of washing and detailing cars.

I'm not quite sure why, but I think they intentionally do a horrible job at the interior clean. It's so bad. I stopped going back a while ago, but I badly needed a car wash. It's honestly just not worth the money. The staff are mostly young and it's apparent that management allows them to slack - it's not at all about the quality of service. read more

I have been a member of waterways car wash for 2 years now. The service has gone down dramatically during the last year. I am a blue member. They are supposed to vacuum my car and many times it's just a partial vac. If you want your mats cleaned--it's an extra charge. They don't wipe down the interior dash, cup holders or doors. Other than the exterior wash, it doesn't look like it's even been to a car wash. I'm done!!! read more

Pretty Incredible how you can pay $35.00 for their service (Whole Thing) which includes a power wash and detailing inside (vacuum, wiping down, etc) & still have bird poop, dust, dirt, and dirty marks on the dash/compartments. Safe to say I will be either washing/detailing on my own or finding better service elsewhere. I understand it is a fast paced work atmosphere but if you're going to charge 40-50 bucks and have customers tip the line workers, be sure to actually get the job done. read more

I have cone to Waterway here and in Denver for over 20 years. I have had the same type SUV fir the entire time. Now they want to up charge fir "large cargo space "! " oh we have always done that". They don't have any chemicals strong enough to cut other adhesive material. But they did run it through the car wash one more time to try to get more of the grime off really. It seems like they're motivated to try to turn out as many cars as possible in a short time as possible and not necessarily get your car spotless. The service people are polite but not quite motivated to do a good job. This $20 wash felt more like a $5-10 dollar wash and not worth the premium. read more

Love hate relationship. Sometimes our experience is good and sometimes it's o.k. First trip with our SUV we opted for NO vacuum for our brand new vehicle hatch - no problem. 2nd trip, again we didn't want our hatch cleaned because again, new. This time, it's go to be extra money because it's "standard" to vacuum. I think the cost was $2 or $6 but regardless, if we DIDN'T want it, we shouldn't be charged for it. Right?! Generally good service here. They do a nice job on the windows, which is usually why I come here (I prefer to wash my own car but don't love doing interior windows). The staff (mostly young adults) are friendly and all work hard. Just be careful of timing though. I went to this location the other day - they weren't too busy and my car went through the wash quickly. Only disappointment was that the car behind me was moved to an "open" spot and was dried off and basically finished before mine was started. My car is black and shows everything - because my car was left to sit, it was covered in water spots that likely would not have appeared had it been hand dried quicker. The team here could maybe be more aware of the order of cars coming out of the wash and service them accordingly. At over $20 a wash, I expect a little more. read more

Went in on a hot Friday afternoon to get my car my suv totally cleaned. They did a mediocre job to say the least. I paid $40 to have it cleaned inside and out and once I drove off I saw a lot of dirt and grime still left on the dash and console. There was also bird droppings left on the window and cargo area that I was charged an extra $2 to clean wasn't touched. To be fair... my car is junky and in need of a thorough cleaning. It was packed full of stuff from work so I understand but there was some things they didn't even touch so I probably could have just paid for a regular wash until I could get it professioinally done. The manager did also come out and touch up some of the things that were unsatisfactory to me but I did have to go behind and wipe and clean. This is not the place to get a really good cleaning... especially while they are busy. I am not sure if I will return. read more

I give this Company no stars they literally charge an arm and a leg for a car wash and do the bare minimum I paid for a Xpress hot wax car wash which was $30 and when I got home the right side of my car look like it had not been washed at all my tires were still filthy I feel like they should at least prep the tires with a brush and soapy water I feel they should prep both sides of the vehicle before the vehicle goes through the automated wash this was not done for my car causing my car to still be extremely dirty and the guy at the end of the wash who puts the wax on the tires seen the filth all over my car still but instead of having some morals and integrity to let me know he just slapped the wax on the filthy tires and proceeded to let me ride off... I paid $22.00 plus and when I got to the car the mats were still dirty. I asked the person who cleaned the car and I was told that the mats were not included in the price I paid. I used to spend $19 plus tax and the mats were washed. I did not know until today how cheap your organization is. I will go some other car wash where there is better service for the customers. Also, on the right side of the car, there was a little grease which the attendants failed to clean. In closing, Iet me say that the service I received, in my estimation, is not worth the price. Do not go to Waterway Pepper Pike unless you drive a luxury brand car. Last week, my wife and I went to get our cars cleaned just before we had a baby. We are the same ethnicity, arrived at the same time, selected the same service, and I even paid for both at the same time, telling the attendant that I was there because we were about to have a baby. They took 3x as long vacuuming and cleaning her luxury brand vehicle as they did on my Toyota, even though they re-vacuumed the Toyota after we complained that it was still dusty after. The same attendant who accepted our vehicles called my pregnant wife stupid because she didn't know that the safety features on her luxury vehicle stopped the car when the carwash brushes were brushing it even though it was in neutral. This same guy also "checked" the cleanliness of my vehicle and told me that I couldn't expect perfect service - that I should just clean it myself. It is sad but obvious that the people who work in this place only care about what they can potentially make in tips, not actually doing their jobs right. Even though I was charged an SUV cargo area upcharge for both vehicles, neither vehicle's cargo area was cleaned. Today, after bringing our baby son home from the hospital, we discovered trash and dust in the passenger footwell - not only did they not vacuum under the seats or move the seats at all - they didn't even bother to clean the plainly visible area, although again, they spent 3x as long vacuuming a vehicle that was already clean just because it was a luxury brand. After complaining to corporate and local management via phone and email, I have still not received any response after 2 days - which is pretty shameful customer "service" in the year 2020. I guess we'll probably just take the attendant's advice and clean our cars ourselves, because Waterway Pepper Pike definitely doesn't care. TLDR: DO NOT PATRONIZE Waterway unless you drive a luxury brand vehicle AND are prepared to tip them well even though they call you stupid. read more
