Wow!! Talk about customer service! I purchased my unit from Water Wise approximately 15 years ago, and it is still going strong,; reverse osmosis. In my opinion is the way to go! They make it affordable, and they back it up with great service... In the 15 years I would say she has been in maybe four times they offer great repair service, and their prices are very reasonable! I would highly recommend them to anyone that is considering an RO unit... They also have very large ones for houses etc.. I highly recommend Waterwise products. I bought a Waterwise 9000 countertop distiller in Fall 2013 because I wanted to cut down on buying distilled/purified water. In the 10 years I have owned it and unlike a lot of products manufactured these days, I have only had a couple of issues with it, both of which happened after I had owned the unit for over 5 years. The first time, Waterwise diagnosed my minor problem quickly and returned my unit, repaired, without cost to me. The second time, while the problem was not with the unit itself (the water receptacle leaked), I had a couple of updates done at a very reasonable expense. I expect this unit will last me at least another 5-10 years. This is a company that deals with their customers fairly and honestly and customer relations is top notch. You can't beat the performance of Waterwise products for the price. I am saving money and helping to keep plastic out of the environment all at the same time. It's a win-win! read more

Needed to return my 8800 distiller to Waterwise after 6 1/2 years of dependable use for some reconditioning. I couldn't believe what I received back for a little over a hundred bucks. It looks as though it is a new unit! Even the scorch marks on the inside of the boiler lid were cleaned up making the entire boiler look new inside and out. The entire housing is pristine and new looking. I couldn't believe it was my old unit and called them to say I thought they made a mistake and sent me a new one. They said "no, it's your old one, we are very thorough in our re-conditioning." Boy, is that an understatement. lol Buy with confidence, not only for the high quality of their products ( I also own a Showerwise shower filter), but also because of the follow up service you will receive if you need repairs after the life span of the unit has passed like mine. We bought our Waterwise 9000 5 years ago and, at first, I thought the price was awfully high. Now, 5 years later, I couldn't be happier with it. I use it daily, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day, and there has never been the slightest problem. Having well water, and using appliances that need distilled water, our consumption is almost totally of distilled water. In a few hours the water is ready for use. Over the years, I've had questions about the Waterwise and the staff there are all very service oriented, polite and NICE people - whether via email or phone contact. These folks make water distillers for home and business. They will send you a free book on the benefits of distilled water. I have owned a table top model #4000 for a number of years. I like the fact that a glass collection jug comes with it given the concerns of plastic bottles leaching chemicals into your water. The glass jug was good for awhile but it eventually cracked. I call their customer service dept. since I did not drop it or damage it myself. It appears that the steal clamp for the handle assembly torqued against the glass and cracked it. There customer service dept. said they could nothing for me but sell me a replacement. I had no choice so I ordered & paid for another. Interestingly enough the new one that came had thicker glass & what appeared to be a re-enforced metal handle collar clamp. This would suggest that they had a problem with the original design and made the corrections but I feel that they should have made it good to me and send a replacement at no cost since their appeared to be a original design issue. I like the water that it produces. There are some further design issues which I would point out if you are looking for a unit like this. 1)When the jug is full & you try to pour water from it it tends to 'dribble' & leak off to the side of the jug onto your counter top. 2)My unit stopped working. I called them & they said to send it in & I would have to pay to have it repaired. (I took it to a local repair shop who opened the unit in front of me & found a loose wire from the factory & made a simple repair to that & it works fine now). 3)The unit sometimes make a whining noise upon power it up. I took it back to the repair shop & the said it needed some lubricant.(really thought the unit should perform without issues for years to come but perhaps not).
