My husband ordered flowers for me for my birthday while he was deployed. He left both of our numbers just in case because, again, he is deployed. They called me about the order which gave away the surprise. It wasn't really a huge deal, could happen to anyone, but when I brought it up (in a nice, mostly joking way) the lady I spoke with was SO rude and said "well that's the number he left so it's not our fault". I don't care whose fault it is, customer service 101 is to apologize when things don't go your customer's way. She also informed me she didn't have the flowers he had already paid for and again, didn't apologize. I decided I'd rather not give this business his hard earned money and cancelled, so now we await a refund. At least we can get our money back. It's nothing to me, I'm just upset for my husband. It's hard enough on him being away from his family, then add on this nonsense. He really wanted to do something nice for me while I'm taking care of everything on my own. read more

We used Watkins Florist for flowers for a friend, we don't live in the Wixom/Walled lake area, but we wanted to find a local florist and we could not have been happier!!! As we were preparing to send the flowers, we had asked a relative for the address and phone number, we received the address, which we had sent to the florist, since we did not receive the phone number I provided mine instead. Watkins had called me since they could not find the address, I had provided. They did their own research to find the correct address, as I did as well. We confirmed over email and phone messages that we had found the correct point of delivery. The flowers were fresh, arrangements on point and everything made our friends day better, just as perfect as it could have been!! read more

After living in the area for almost 4 years, I decided to give this place a try. I've passed it frequently on my way to and from work. Unsatisfied with other floral arrangements from different shops, my standards were set a bit low. I have to say, they exceeded my expectations and put together one of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever seen. I went in to buy a bouquet for my mother's birthday. I told the florist "I need something big!" And she did NOT disappoint. The price came out to less than $40. I will definitely be returning for all of my future floral endeavors. read more

I called Watkins flowers on Friday to see if they could do a funeral arrangement for the next day Saturday in the local area. The funeral is to be held at a local church on Saturday at 11:30 AM. They told me they'd have to check the church's hours and call back. They called back shortly after only to tell me that the church's office hours aren't until Sunday even though they're hosting a funeral on Saturday and other flowers will be delivered there for the funeral. I'm sorry but they just lost my business and I would never refer them out to anyone else ever. read more

My son ordered flowers from Watkins for my birthday. The arrangement was one sided as you would order for a funeral. I found that unusual and took it to the florist where they informed me that all the Telaflora arrangements were one sided.That is not true and told them so. I looked the arrangement up on the Teleflora site and printed it. It shows the arrangement as all-around and states it as so on the bottom of the page.They still denied that the flowers were not as indicated. Ordered online, for my mother in law's birthday. Specifically chose a plant listed as available on the Watkins website (flowering kalanchoe), for the flowers, the size of the plant & ease of care, as my MIL is nearly 90 & doesn't really have a "green thumb". Was happy to see that it could be delivered right away & it was delivered on the next day, as promised. However, she sent a picture & the plant that arrived was not what we ordered & not one I would have chosen for her. Communicated with Watkins, who did seem willing to make the effort to get what I'd ordered to my MIL; but today, another completely inappropriate plant (baby Norfolk pine, even further from being a flowering kalanchoe than the first one!) was delivered. I'm so disappointed, I'll never waste my money with this business again. I would have been happier if they'd just told me they didn't have/couldn't get the plant I wanted (and NOT had it listed as available on their website!) & I could have gone with something or someone else. Not professional. Edit; Well, apparently, there was a mix up with the replacement plant; the correct plant was there, to be delivered to my MIL, but the delivery person took the wrong thing. We were contacted by Watkins this morning, profusely apologetic & promising to get the right plant to my MIL. I very much appreciate the communication & extra effort and understand this mostly being a case of "sh*t happens"....however, I still had to go through alot of unnecessary mental anguish. 2nd Edit; Was informed by my MIL that the plant I wanted her to have was delivered, along with a very nice note from Watkins, by the owner. So, even tho I still wish I would have just been notified the plant wasn't in stock from the get-go, I do very much appreciate all the extra effort that was put into making this right. Super helpful florist for getting an arrangement delivered on the day. They could not have been nicer and the flowers were delivered exactly on time. Our arrangement was $75 + delivery and consisted of lilies, daisies, alstroemeria, carnations and a lot of greenery. Not my favorite flowers for the price point, but they were delivered when we needed them -- huge points for that. read more

Ordered a beautiful sympathy arrangement online. I was disappointed when I visited the funeral home and saw the arrangement. The flowers in the vase were very sparce. The delivery charge was excessive also when the flowers were delivered basically a block away from the florist. Worst $100+ dollars ever spent at a florist. read more

We recently ordered flowers from Watkins Flowers for our parent's funeral. Both the casket and wreath flowers were delivered when we got to the funeral home in the morning. However, we were very disappointed as the flowers looked wilted and not fresh at all. They were the worst looking flowers compared to other floral bouquets we've received from friends that day.
