When we were given the quote it was for $145 an hour with no mention of any "additional fees". When the gentleman came to do the job he was a pleasure to work with and did a great job!! We have no complaints on that part. The problem came when the bill was received and it was hundreds more than what we had anticipated. When discussing with the owner this is what we were told. Plumber is $150 an hour not $145. There was an additional $45 and hour for a young man to pick up concrete and collect tools. We had to pay for drive time to and from the house. There was a jackhammer fee. And we had to pay for them to clean out the truck . Which consisted of half a barrel of concrete and about 10 feet of pipe. We feel that should have been shared when given the quote, not after the fact. I suggest you ask about these fees before confirming an appointment.

No major repair or charge was required. We asked about another issue, they explained how we could do it ourselves or they could come back the following week, but we would have to pay for the labor/call. He was not here more than 5 minutes and we received a bill for $125. When I called to complain I was told that they do not do furnace work. I asked why they didn't tell us that when we called and said we thought we had a problem with our furnace. In 2019 I lost my furnace and water heater to the Mississippi flood. I contracted with Crawford to…read morereplace them and asked their advice on whether it would be safe to install the water heater in the closet upstairs to prevent future flood damage. They said it would be fine because they would install a drip pan and overflow pipe to the basement so any leakage would drain through the pipe and not out onto my beautiful, 130 year old oak floor. After just 4 years the water heater failed and leaked all over my oak floor. They charged me to replace the water heater, offered no apology for their bad advice and even replaced the failed heater with the exact same model that failed after only 4 years. Now I'm left with a ruined floor and a water heater that may fail again before it should and no way to prevent it from ruining a repaired floor. As a professional myself I understand people should be able to rely on my advice. That is the point of being a professional. If I give out bad advice I will do everything I can to make it right.
