The downtown market, while a long drive from us in Bonny Doon, is our favorite, by far. My primary objective at farmers' markets is the produce; vendors of meat and fish are convenience, and there are good ones both in Felton and Downtown. I rarely buy prepared food at markets. The downtown market is our favorite for the quality and greater variety of the produce. Parking can be a PITA, but I can usually find a spot within two blocks, often closer. I don't patronize markets for "the scene," or because it's cute, only for stuff to cook -- produce and raw meat and fish. All those folks wandering around, not watching where they're going, getting in the way when I'm dragging 20 lb of food around are a nuisance! :)

She's a frequent customer and she seldom eats pies. She sometimes freezes them. It's packed with so many berries and has a pure berry taste. It's sweet but still maintains the tartness/acidity of the berries so it helps your ability to eat more of it. My husband finished almost an entire pie in one day. The bad: My aunt said the apple pie is too sweet and therefore prefers the more tart/sour berry pie. I wish I tried the pie with ice cream because that would have been a nice compliment. If you like them sweet, get the orange yellow ones. They are sweeter than the red ones normally. They also have different products like cheese, eggs, nuts and local honey. If you like kombucha, try boochman. They have interesting flavors. If you like burgers try Hawaiian burger place that also sell BBQ chicken. Their chicken is pretty good I like them a lot but they also give you a lot of rice too so I can't finish half of it normally. But then they have Indian curry place that's in front of the chicken place so get the curry to go and I have that with the left over rice later. Every Sunday 9am to 1pm. Plenty of free parking but they get busy so get there early like right before 9. Or come very late so that you might get leftover didn't sell stuff for free or cheap. Check out the bread place when they are closing up. You might get some bread or pies that they didn't sell. Music, singing and dancing going on in the afternoon and get really crowded so I would go there first thing in the morning.

This is one of my top choices for farmers markets in the South Bay. Always the freshest of produce, vendors are generous and friendly and allow you to sample prior to buying and the flowers are always top notch and one of a kind! It's not overly massive and located in quaint downtown Campbell. Pop into Manresa Bread too for a caffeine kick and delicious pastry before/after you feast your eyes, get your bags of produce goodies and start your Sunday off the right way! California farmers markets rule the world -- no other state does it better!

Parking wasn't a deal breaker but it was tough. The crowd seemed younger maybe because of the college being close or maybe that because I'm an old man.
