Brad told me that when we decided on the roof, the company would come out and take down the solar panels and then replace them once the roof was completed and it would be free of charge. He said they do that as a one time courtesy and that any subsequent roofs we would have to pay. I remember chuckling at that because who replaces their roof every few years? We signed the contract and had the solar panels installed with Everything Solar. The solar panels did not pass inspection by the city and Everything Solar had to come out and put more screws down to secure everything and on the second inspection, it passed. The solar panels worked as expected for the past 9 years. Several months ago, we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of our upstairs bedrooms. We got several roofing companies to come out and assess the problem. The consensus was that it was finally time to replace our 17 year old roof. It lasted longer than I projected back in 2013 so I'm not upset about that. What I am upset about is that the water damage on our ceiling, the roofers and our insurance company concluded was caused by the solar panels coming loose and water getting in through the holes that no longer had screws securing them. The solar panels were not all secured to the trusses as they should have been in the first place. Today we called Everything Solar to talk to them about the one time courtesy removal that Brad promised (apparently just to make the sale) back in 2013. We were fortunate enough to actually get Brad himself on the phone. He claimed that they offer no such thing and he had no idea who would have promised that to us originally. It was you, Brad. You promised that and it was the reason we decided to sign with your company instead of one of the others we received estimates from. We weren't even complaining about the holes in our roof from improper installation, we were only asking for the removal and reinstallation before and after the roof replacement. The way a company treats it's customers after the sale is far more important than the pie-in-the-sky promises they make before the sale. I'm sorry I gave them my business and now that we are looking for additional solar panels once our roof is completed, Everything Solar will not be a consideration. Buyers beware.

It first started with the quote to R&R the pool panels for my new roof. They originally quoted over…read more$3200 to R&R 6 panels. Panels that they sold me in 2021 for $3600.00!!!! Installed!!! After I reminded them they installed them at the price they installed them for they came down to $2500 which is still high. The tech turned my yandy valve in the wrong direction starving my new (3 month old) Hayward pump causing damage to my pump then denied doing it. He blames the roofers, the roofers blame the solar guy and I get stuck trying to figure out how to get this warranted without getting screwed. If you hire these guys, put a camara on the crew at all times and set up camp to observe everything they do. The design is good. The people , not so much. I'm sure they are not all bad but I got the bad one. In todays world with people in the working field who don't give a crap if they do a good job or not, be careful who you hire.
