Brad told me that when we decided on the roof, the company would come out and take down the solar panels and then replace them once the roof was completed and it would be free of charge. He said they do that as a one time courtesy and that any subsequent roofs we would have to pay. I remember chuckling at that because who replaces their roof every few years? We signed the contract and had the solar panels installed with Everything Solar. The solar panels did not pass inspection by the city and Everything Solar had to come out and put more screws down to secure everything and on the second inspection, it passed. The solar panels worked as expected for the past 9 years. Several months ago, we noticed some water damage on the ceiling of our upstairs bedrooms. We got several roofing companies to come out and assess the problem. The consensus was that it was finally time to replace our 17 year old roof. It lasted longer than I projected back in 2013 so I'm not upset about that. What I am upset about is that the water damage on our ceiling, the roofers and our insurance company concluded was caused by the solar panels coming loose and water getting in through the holes that no longer had screws securing them. The solar panels were not all secured to the trusses as they should have been in the first place. Today we called Everything Solar to talk to them about the one time courtesy removal that Brad promised (apparently just to make the sale) back in 2013. We were fortunate enough to actually get Brad himself on the phone. He claimed that they offer no such thing and he had no idea who would have promised that to us originally. It was you, Brad. You promised that and it was the reason we decided to sign with your company instead of one of the others we received estimates from. We weren't even complaining about the holes in our roof from improper installation, we were only asking for the removal and reinstallation before and after the roof replacement. The way a company treats it's customers after the sale is far more important than the pie-in-the-sky promises they make before the sale. I'm sorry I gave them my business and now that we are looking for additional solar panels once our roof is completed, Everything Solar will not be a consideration. Buyers beware.

They showed us "hot spots" on pictures they took. We had another solar company come out. They said panels almost never go bad. They found our wires were being eaten by squirrels. They fixed the wires and installed a squirrel guard. Solar Ray got our system back in tip top shape. Solar Source ripped us off for $2000. We asked for the manager to call us. He never did. We've had non-stop issues with squirrels chewing lines, which is not covered and when we called to inquire we were told "Oh yeah, that happens all the time." Had we been told that up front we likely would have taken a different route. The PVC pipe also burst, and again, was not covered under warranty. Of course the service calls to come out and look at these items were also not covered under warranty, meaning we've had to add insult to injury by paying to be told items are not covered under warranty (which honestly doesn't seem to cover a single item). We just found out that the install also went through the roof with no sealing around it, causing us nearly $3,000 in roof damage/repair. At this point we are considering just ripping out the entire system as it has cost us nearly as much in repairs as we paid for the original system.

I interviewed many roofing companies and decided on Revolution for several reasons. First and foremost, Andrew and his team discovered issues with my roof that other roofing companies had failed to point out. I had a drainage issue with an almost completely flat portion of the roof. Before calling Renaissance, other companies simply would not even come out. Upon calling, a knowledgable tech immediately answered. This was refreshing simply because there was no hold music nor a time wasting answering service. An appointment was conveniently scheduled within two hours. Given that I have a tenant in the condo, the tech was willing to text me half an hour before so we could rendezvous at the same time. This level of customer service is very much appreciated. The tech arrived on time in a professional manner. Turns out the tech is the owner. He is knowledgable and conducted an investigation explaining the process along the way. This was great given that my A/C is from an alien planet. He admitted he had only seen three other units like mine in his career but still plowed through troubleshooting the issue.
