I went to make a company deposit today in Astoria branch, two tellers were talking to each other, did not say even Hi/Hello, gave me Ok to come to her desk, she made my deposit for $5000, actually check was for $50000, and I said this is wrong, she corrected and made a new receipt for correct amount, handed me a new receipt. No sorry No thank you, I assumed I have to leave. Very poor customer service, I have been a customer for more than 25 years, never had a good welcome at the bank. read more

Extremely poor communication. It was almost impossible to get through to a real person, and when they did return my calls, it took days. They also added insurance to my loan without my approval and overcharged me for it for two years. This was never clearly explained or authorized by me. When I finally spoke with a representative (Heidi), the conversation felt dismissive and unproductive. She claimed she had called me numerous times regarding a loan application, but in reality, I only received 2-3 calls. Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience. Wauna's Virtual Assistants have very terrible customer service. I was processing to open business accounts and had the absolute worst experience ever with a bank or credit union. Although my residence is out of state, when I finally was able to get ahold of a VA (E.M.) and submit all documents in very timely, minutes, it always took a couple of days, phone calls where you can't speak to a live person, emails that take days for a reply, voice messages that go unanswere...you name it, terrible! The couple of live reps that I was able to get ahold of over the phone both heard my frustration with the VA's and assured me they would get back to me in order to complete the opening of my accounts. Nevertheless...crickets. I gave my business to another financial institution. If you are a current member of Wauna congratulations. But if you're wanting to be a member, go elsewhere. read more

The St Helens branch gave me such a hard time, with me having to return 3 times, trying to set up a Rep Payee account. They kept insisting I had to produce a paper from Social Security with the state seal on it. SS is federal...they don't put a state seal on any document! Finally, the paper I'd tried to present already was accepted by someone who seemed to know what they were doing. Also, you can't contact by phone the local branch. You have to call an 800 number, tell them what you are trying to accomplish, and they try to connect you to the local branch manager, who is never there and doesn't return calls. I transferred a car loan over to Wauna because they have the best interest rates, set up automatic payments. 3 out of the 5 times I have gotten late notices because they aren't pulling it out of my account and then I find out by getting a collection letter in the mail. The inconsistency of their autopay system is incredibly frustrating. The employees that I have worked with are great. The software Wauna is using is failing not only the customers, but the employees as well. read more

scappoose branch has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. For one thing they shouldn't even have a drive up window because three times in a row. I've tried to use it and nobody comes to the window and I end up parking and going in after five minutes, same thing just happened parked went in and somebody acknowledged me after five minutes telling me they'd be right with me and at least another five minutes went by before somebody helped me to make a payment. I would definitely not do business if their rates weren't slightly better than the other guys. read more

I called Long Beach WA branch to get information on opening a business account. The person on the phone had no clue on that topic so I requested a supervisor, waited 15 minutes, never got to speak to a supervisor and got transferred to a "correct department" where I ended up talking to voice mail. My husband added me to his account when we got married. It has been a struggle to manage our banking since then. Despite numerous calls, they still require my husband's authorization for communication. Also, it seems they are unable to do anything via the internet. You can't email them a request, you have to call and wait on hold. I have to take off time from work to go to a branch to sign a request to have money tracked and returned to my account. I don't want to have to move but I don't see any other choice! read more

Where to start! This credit union is a joke!! When your account gets hacked and over 3000 dollars and is taking with out knowledge from of countries and in state. They refer to to their corporate headquarters to try to fight for your money back. They know its fraud and they are still dragging their feet. What a joke!!! Go to a Big Bank! read more

Two strikes....you're OUT! Horrible experience trying to open a new account, where I ended up leaving...and opening a new account at Bank of the West down the street w/ fabulous customer service!! Wauna Employee was overly rude and rather condescending. Perhaps the new building gave them a sense of grandeur and they no longer 'belonged' to the community. Second experience/strike was my sister going in to use her non-Wauna ATM (but a credit union w/ reciprocal services) for a cash withdrawal -- cashier/teller was SO rude!!! When she finally acknowledged our presence, she was surley and put-out the she had to input other data...which she got wrong...and the withdrawal came out of the wrong account!! No apology. Teller was clearly not capable of any customer service!!! Will use the 'other' local credit union next time!!! read more

I am a long-time member of another credit union out of state. I'm posting a review here because this is the only Co-op Network ATM location in Saint Helens that accepts deposits. There are two other Co-op ATMs in Saint Helens that most credit union members may use (St. Helens Community CU and OnPoint Community CU/Rite Aid), but Wauna is the only ATM with deposit-taking capacity. read more

Good credit union so far. I have only been a member for a few months but pretty satisfied so far. Friendly staff but the only thing I noticed is the communication and making appointments for loans, etc is a little off. read more

Wauna is the BEST credit union around! They are personal and genuinely care about there customers! You can chat online instead of call them, if you need to and things get taken care of immediately! There hours are convenient and the people who work there are friendly and professional! I HIGHLY recommend Wauna! read more
