Hot summer day, went for some ice cream. A group before us had a long order of drinks so it took a really long time. And it was super hot inside. It was hotter inside than it was outside. We were very close to leaving. But one of us stuck with it while we waited outside, and their ice cream was awesome! I got a coffee cookie dough-type ice cream along with pistachio, and both were excellent. 5 stars for the ice cream. It's really too bad it's so terrible inside. No air, no fan, and apparently the air conditioner is on but you can't feel it. Next time I would probably call ahead, and run in and get it when it's done. They offer a variety of desserts and some food options like, acai bowls, smoothies, boba/bubble tea, ice cream, and avocado toast. I ordered the Bee Pollen Acai Bowl. It was good, but I was not a fan of the honey they used. It was too thick and made the bowl kind of difficult to eat. The acai base itself was delicious! I'd like to call myself an acai bowl connoisseur, so I'd give the bowl like a 7.56 out of 10. The boba was pretty bad. As an Asian-American, I will also call myself a boba connoisseur and the tapioca pearls were really hard to chew and felt like they were old. A true boba fanatic knows you can tell the authenticity of the boba depending on how good the boba is cooked. I've tried it twice, and the boba was like that both times. I hope they can put the boba in a warming bowl or crock pot throughout the day to help the texture. I really enjoy the ambiance of the spot. They sell cute little stuffed animals and other Knick-knacks. The vibe is super cool, as there are cool art work and paint done throughout the place and even in the restroom! I really enjoyed the vibe and think they did a 10 out of 10 for the interior. They have a huge seating area that has a cool marble finish with their logo engraved in! This is for the young but not-so young man holding down the fort at the Wave morning and afternoon for the last week, you're the real MVP. Anytime I have come here during my 7-day stay in Destin, you were the cashier, coffee maker, açaí maker, ice cream scooper, stocker and everything in between in the mornings- ALL BY YOURSELF. You never once showed you were sweating or under pressure, you were so patient, kind and considerate of everyone that came in. If I was in your shoes, I would have been a little overwhelmed but you handled it gracefully. You made me an amazing iced caramel latte one morning and I'm still thinking about how great it was. Thank you for the coffee!! To your management: after leaving your shop one morning, there was a lady delivering "thinking of you flowers" so I am going to assume that someone at the shop was going through a hard time and that's why you were short staffed. I think this business charges a hefty price for coffee for there to only be one person managing the cashier, creating the orders and stocking not to mention keeping an eye out on the candy. In all my years of buying coffee, I've never had anyone tell me that they're out of coffee beans and that it'll be delivered soon. This place is one of the best boba options in Destin, Fort Walton, and Niceville! The interior is very clean and chic and I've only seen one employee which seems to be the same guy the other comments mention, props to him! Although, there's been a couple instances where the shop will be closed randomly even though they are supposed to be open...I can only assume it's because this shop has limited staffing. By far the worst experience I've had in Destin. The cashier did not acknowledge my husband + 4 kids. He waited 10 minutes without ensuring he and the kids would be helped. He walked out. I came back 10 minutes in hopes that he was wrong. Later only to encounter a the same blonde cashier to serve me and my kids. We waited patiently for 5 minutes to be served. That really didn't bother me at first but what bothered me most was her attitude. While I was ordering she cut me off to make 2 of my drinks, and made one completely WRONG. When I asked her to downsize from a teddy cup to a regular cup before she made the drink. She rolled her eyes and said she "already portioned it out". What made me very angry is she was not inviting, her rude behavior, and the sense of no respect for a paying customer with my little kids wanting ice cream and smoothie on this hot day. If you ask me, I feel like low key she a RACIST . I would not recommend this experience to anyone in the area. Wait time to be served greater than 15 minutes when they did not have anyone in there in line. Save time, money and your some stress. read more

We ordered 2 cups of tea. The store has a great decoration. However, here are some negative things about this store: 1/ The price is way too expensive (around $10, not included tax). Usually, if we get charged this high, we expect to have at least some real fruit in the tea, but they only use syrup. Also, we could not even taste the syrup. 2/ The boba was so hard to chew, which ($1.99 extra) either was left overnight or undercooked. Also, the boba should have been warm all the time. They just left it out in the container, without the lid, as well as other toppings. 3/ The tea cannot be tasted. Tasted like water with syrup. 4/ Only one person who made our tea was nice. This place is not worth it. We chose this place because it was closest to where we were staying. There is another one just ten minutes further, with much better reviews (Sweetea Bubble Tea Store). The Boba tea is extremely overpriced ($10 for 20oz?!) and the ice cream is also overpriced. The Boba tea is not very good, overly sweet, and the tapioca pearls were undercooked. They also charge $2 for "extra boba" and barely give you any extra. For the popping bubbles there is only one flavor, which was disappointing (strawberry). A few sips of the boba drink and I was already sick of the drink because of the sweetness and lack of flavor. What brought my rating all the way down is the rudeness of the workers. The workers look like they do not want to be there and they make the vibe of the place unbearable. Workers were very rude to the customers and kind of snapped at the customers when responding to serious inquiries. The place was a nice place to chill but was not worth the hype. Go to Sweetea Bubble Tea store if you're looking for boba/bubble tea, and find another place for coffee and ice cream if you're looking for coffee or ice cream. read more

I've been to Wave three times, I've ordered an acai bowl (really really good) all three times and a boba tea once, my girlfriend has ordered similarly, all of which has been great. That said, great enough to spend 30-40 dollars on each of these outings? No. Unless you are coming to order the absolute barebones, be prepared to spend 15-25 dollars per person dependent on your order. In my opinion, that's kind of ridiculous for a place like this. I get this is a tourist destination but we are local and really enjoy boba tea and açaí, Wave has it but we still feel like we have little to no viable options nearby.
