Between the staff seeming upset that there are customers here, the tiny flavor sample size (I'm talking dipped in the gelato instead of a small spoonful), and the actual flavors of gelato, we were...disappointed. The tiramisu tasted like soy sauce. The cones were too fragile to hold. Also? This place is called kitchen and creamery. Affogato with cold brew was refreshing, the espresso was really good. Also had a scoop of pistachio gelato, it was good but had an artificial flavor taste, the color was a darker green, which also made me think there were some artificial additives. This review could be a bit harsh but we stopped by on a 5pm with two kiddos eager to have some ice cream after a day of promises. Upon arrival, I couldn't find any ice cream! There was a sad sign saying they had no ice cream today. The folks working were not super hospitable or apologetic either. Service could have made up for this issue even though their name has gelato in the title. Instead, the staff just kept milling about, tending to their non existent customers. The gelato has a lot of flavors, I only tried a handful of the times I've visited. The texture is thick and chewy but not is bad way. I'd love to give this place a little more in the way of the star rating, but there's nothing like spending the money on a so so cup of gelato and having someone come out to clean/sweep the floor all around you just as you sit down to "enjoy" the melting gelato. All the while he was yelling over the broom to his colleagues back behind the counter. Then he pulls out the Fabulouso and Clorox to fragrance the tables, restrooms (doors left open). Got Icecream for the kids. To be COVID safe they no longer give out samples, which is good. The staff all wear mask and gloves. This review is strictly about gelato because that's all I've ever had here. They have quite a number of flavors (more than 15) and the coolers are at a perfect temperature. The gelato is stuff enough to hold shape but soft enough to eat immediately when a plastic spoon. The scoops appear small but the gelato is dense enough that they feel huge. I love flavors like salted caramel, mango, and vanilla bean. They don't let you sample an unlimited amount. I'm not sure exactly how many you can try but I usually find what I'm looking for within a few spoons as this is a must when I'm in Destin. The shop is in the Silver Sands Premium Outlets and it's on a corner. There is plenty of parking so don't worry about that. This Cafe is sometimes crowded but it never takes long. The cafe itself is small inside and they sell a few other items like pastries, sandwiches, beverages and to go items. Different from other gelato shops, you get a mini cone stuck into your gelato scoop. Prices are normal for the area. read more

You may notice that there isn't a picture of food on this review. This is because I didn't receive any. My girlfriend and my mother both ordered Cuban sandwiches which they got and they were delicious. The food is great, I've had their gelato before and it is good as well. Their biggest flaws are that they are super busy at every rush. They only have a cashier and a cook. The tables were nasty with piles of food being left under the table. I don't blame the employees. They were at least trying a bit. Worst part is that they have NO system for distributing food. They just call out what has just been prepared and leave it in the window. If you and everyone else in the restaurant orders a Cuban...‍. I never received my meat amore personal pizza after waiting 40 minutes being shuffled around by entering and exiting patrons because there's nowhere to stand. After I asked for a refund, they were weird about it. I stated multiple times that I was running late to meet a friend because I waited 40 minutes on a 7" pizza. I finally got my money back and they were at least a bit pleasant about it. Food was great. Restaurant needs some logistical improvement. read more

When we visit we always make it a point to stop in here. The new covid hours, totally unique compared to every other ice creamery in the area, means they close super early. Makes it hard to stop in after dinner to get ice cream. We made a special trip to pick it up early and they don't have lids for their cups for to go's. So they gave us everything in to go coffee cups. Such a waste of packaging but it worked. Still the best in the area (and we tried a lot more this time, meh), but we miss the later hours. No they don't put wine in your gelato as the name suggests...but still delicious, authentic gelato! Although they do sell wine here btw. So many flavors. Ranging from cherry to pistachio to tiramisu to everything in between. They have at least 20 different flavors running from the basics, fruity, nutty and chocolaty. I got a small sized cup with a 1/2 scoop Tiramisu and a 1/2 scoop of Nutella. I didn't really love the Nutella mainly bc it didn't have that hazelnut flavor I was looking for, but the Tiramisu was spot on. And they put a mini ice cream cone on top, which was just adorable. You can ask to test out flavors and they'll happily give you a mini spoon. Also, their gelato is 93% fat free...crazy cause it still tastes so creamy, you would never realize it! They also have sorbets (100% fat free), cannolis, pastries, and espressos. Love this little shop especially during these summer months. read more

Needed a sugar to make it through the rest of the outlet stores. This place is usually packed and I can see why. Tons of gelato flavors, if you ask you can get a sample. The plus side when you check in there was a yelp discount!! Whoop whoop!! We waited in line until it was our turn to order. Kept it simple with my kid cookies and cream and of course I was stuck between Nutella and a cake flavor. After we got our cups, I waited in line to pay.. this is the 3 star reason... I understand there was 3 people working but I waited about 10 mins or so.. to pay. The workers were either making order/ drinks and walked pass me standing by the register a few times. They didn't acknowledge me or told me it be a minute. It would have been nice to know I had to wait that long which. My cousin was ahead of us, she paid for the 3 of them but me being directly behind them had to wait to pay for my 2 orders. Cashier rude would not address customers and never spoke a word of English and was on phone the whole time

my family and I went in on Fri., 8/9/19 for ice cream. The employees all looked miserable and unhappy. They looked like they were bothered when we placed an order. It was the worst experience. The store just open too. Its not like we came right before the store close. All of us sat down to eat ice cream. The staff kept starring at us at the same time looking at the register screen. He was verifying if we paid for the ice cream. He is making us feel very uncomfortable and not welcome. What kind of crap is this?! And when we were getting ready to leave, one of the staff was starring at my kids. Do u think my kids will steal your salt and pepper? Horrible! So sad! We enjoyed the ice cream but will not accept this kind of service. These employees have a lot to learn. They shouldn't be judging people the way they dress or look. read more

I ended up getting the Italian almond cookies - it was soooo good, highly recommend. The only downside was the portion sizes. I got a small cup, and the single scoop barely came to the top, so that was given to the hubby and me and the LO shared a double scoop which was just right. Paid around $7, with a military discount. Inside - seating (tables and booths ), outside seating, clean display of items (gelato, cannolis, cheesecake, cookies), they have espresso, serve sandwiches, pizza, other items. Quiet atmosphere. Gelato shmelato. They have lattes! Good coffee is difficult to find. Get it here. I've already visited twice. I've never passed up a beautiful espresso machine, especially one being outright neglected by patrons so busy tasting every gelato in the case that they fail to notice it until they look at me with the dawning realization that they're actually jealous of my superior choice whilst finally holding a cone and wondering which one I'll get as I happily request to the equally surprised clerk that I'd like them to put down the scoop and build me an amazing latte instead. I'm 50/50 on this gelato place... mainly because I've only been here twice. The first time I went, I brought my son and everything was great! We went in the afternoon and had no problems! But we went again last night and the service was just horrendous. My husband was walking my son towards a door and the just flipped the "close" sign in front of them. So he went through the other door and we ordered. My son went to sit down and they immediately said they were closed, which is fine, my bad. We weren't going to stay anyway. We went a little before 7 pm. The people who came in behind us were ordering and needed to use the restroom and they just flat out told them no... then the girl said it was out of order. Those two girls were just rude. Awesome gelato or not, I will not be coming back. I live less than a mile from this place and couldn't believe the service. The worst experience I've ever had!!!! We went to Pino Gelato on Saturday (03/23/19). Employees were chit chatting and were so distracted. They couldn't fulfill a simple order. I mean it must be too difficult when two people walk in and ordered two coffees, one panini and a tiramisu. They gave us one coffee then the panini and in 5 minutes I finally got another coffee. After giving them some more time we had to remind them about tiramisu. BUT! The worst thing was I found two pieces of plastic in my "Ferrari" panini!!! And I'm pregnant!
