For many years it was a regular part of my life, and these days I keep it going through the Smule karaoke app. This past Saturday reminded me just how much fun it is to do with a group of friends. We had a great time, plenty of laughs, and a really enjoyable night overall. Shout Karaoke is located on Steinway Street and is easy to get to on the R line. The commute was quick and straightforward. Up front there is a bar area where you can sing and socialize, which is pretty standard for karaoke spots. They also offer smaller and larger private rooms with a set rate per person per hour. For the room we booked, the rate before 8pm was $5 per person per hour with a minimum of 15 people, and after 8pm it increases to $9 per person per hour. The pricing feels very reasonable for what you get. I did not drink alcohol so I cannot speak to liquor prices, but ginger ale ran about $3 each, which is fair for a bar setting. The music selection is well organized with both book and tablet options for browsing, and the catalog is extensive in both English and Spanish. The space was clean, comfortable, and the staff was genuinely friendly throughout the night. I will absolutely be back to Shout Karaoke. It is a great find in the Queens area and well worth checking out.

Drinks here are also reasonably priced in my opinion, which also makes it a bit dangerous to come here because you could really stay for hours. They do have private rooms for the back if you're a little scared of the spotlight and want to perform only for your close pals (or solo I guess, you do you). Overall if you're looking for an entertaining karaoke spot without it costing you an arm and a leg, Karaoke Shout is a solid option.
