I have been to this location for various reasons many times. I do believe I also visited another location before they opened here a while back. All visits here have been 10 stars. This most recent visit, was in here for a simple x ray. I checked in and went to grab a magazine and no more than 7 minutes later they called me up. They did call me up with a group of 5 other people but sat us in a different waiting area. From there, I waited an additional 5 minutes and was called in promptly. I had my x ray done start to finish in 25 minutes(with appointment). All the staff members are cordial, kind caring and polite. The business itself is wonderful and plenty of room to sit in. There is a separate line for each procedure you are here for(mammogram, mri, ray, etc). I do recommend getting an appointment online, will save you time. Overall, excellent experience! read more

I wish I could give negative hundred stars!!! This place we came for my kids xray each time and each time there was some kind of fight and issues with the front desk and scheduling. First, they don't even answer the phone at this specific location to schedule an appointment and they say only walk-in. Once you walk in, they tell you they're gonna make an appointment for you and you have to come another day yet again. And we came another day again and then they're all of a sudden saying that you cannot have another kid in the back while getting xray. So yet we have to go back again and schedule another day for a freaking three minute x-ray. And on top of that one lady flat out lied to my face saying that they had this rule "since forever" to have only one kid back in xray room. That's a flat out lie since each time i came here with 2 kids in the backroom. This dumb grumpy hag needs to be fired!!! For a 1minute xray session, they are giving this much hard time to come back 3-4 times and waste time? This place is a ridiculous joke and needs to be shut down. Im so pissed that they lied on top of that. How can any parent with two kids can go there? I have been the past two times for x-rays and now that you're telling me they've never let two kids to go in the back room. The name of the old hag at the front desk that told me that ridiculous lie that they never let more than one kid assisted with a parent is GLORIA. Lady, if you are too lazy to work or know anything, just keep your mouth shut instead of messing with kids and busy parents lives. Over a 1minute xray, seriously!!! Shame on you constantly messing with kids and busy parent's lives on purpose to just keep making us come back even with an appointment. 1. 1st trip to this place is to make a friken appointment even though they say we cant even schedule an appt for xray. 2. Then they tell you they are completely "full" to fit you in for a 1minute xray then they end up making u an appt to come back for another date anyway. 3. When u come back for 3rd time, and again stand in 20min line to check in yet again, they tell you at that point, u cannot bring more than one kid at a time, after the fact they've already seen both kids the first time and they never said anything before. 4. Then they all gang up on you at front desk saying that they "never" allowed more than one kid to be taken in xray rm and u again have to find a sitter and drop off the other kid again back at home in order to take that 1minute xray for the kid. So yet again they reschedule your appt to another date/time. 5. The 4th time again we come and yet again stand in 20min check in line to take my kid's 1minute xray....while the other kid stays at home with a sitter. Shame on you Waveimaging Lakewood, and fire GLORIA the old hag for butting in with lies that they "never" allowed more than one kid in xray rm w a parent. "My Experience only" I was sent to this location for a walk in by the Signal Hill location. Signal Hill location was not taking walkins at this time so Dulce (Admins Name) from Signal Hill double and triple checked I was good to go for a walk in. As I drove down there i called the number to the PV location just to make sure I am good for a walk in. A return call was selected and the PV location stated I was ok to go in for a walk in. Once I got there, the person rejected me since they said they are busy and no longer taking appointments. I told the representative that I just spoke to someone from the number I called. The person just giggled and said that is not our number. I stated, this is the number I called on the paper. She did not apologize nor felt any compassion and just said sorry. I can schedule you for a Monday. I was actually upset. I wish I got her name. She was young and has blond hair, from Latin descent. She was unprofessional and clueless. Overall, this place is unprofessional. You are just a number at this location. Not to mention the place looks like an Emergency room! Crowded, congested and irritable. If you like that feeling of being in a DMV office, this is the perfect place for you. Their lines is all over the place! Its very confusing. Sloppy out of order location. Smh. I do not recommend this place at all. This all roots back to Dulce the admin from Signal Hill. She was incompetent to send me there in the first place knowing I will be wasting my time driving all the way there just to get rejected. Bad experience, yours maybe better. If you can, avoid this place like the plague. They treat you like cattle! My appointment was at 6:40 PM but I was told to arrive at 6:05. I did. However, after checking in and waiting over two hours, I cancelled the appointment and asked for a refund. In addition to WaveImaging not honoring the time of my appointment, the staff were unprofessional and rude, especially the three young women at the front desk who act like you're interrupting their day when you ask them a question. As I waited in one of the dressing rooms, I could hear the X-Ray technician in the room next door watching videos on his phone at high volume, some of which used vulgar language like the n-word and curse words in Spanish. When I brought this to the attention of the receptionist, Jocelyn, who had checked me in, she responded dismissively and with a lot of attitude, repeating that the technician was doing his job. During the thirty minutes that I waited in the dressing room, he only took one X-ray which took about five minutes. The rest of the time he was on his phone watching videos. It was at this point that I decided to cancel my appointment. I had waited over two hours and they couldn't tell me how much longer I was going to have to wait when I asked. And apparently the women are all named Jocelyn, because that's the name the two whose names I asked for gave me. Though I believe the first one, a plump Latina, may have been telling the truth, I don't think the other one, a very thin Asian, was being honest since she said it with a devilish grin and as an echo to the first. The place was also unkempt and disorderly. There was trash all over the floor in front of the bathroom, and people were not being told how long they would have to wait when they first checked in. And every person there, of which there were dozens, looked miserable. My insurance was about to pay over $1000 for my MRI, and I was going to pay a co-pay of $125. I am glad the company will not be receiving that money. I hope other people decide to spend their money where they are treated like human beings and not like cattle. First time coming to this location to get a MRI and I was really impressed. This facility is actually huge. They do a lot more than just MRIs they do CT scans ultrasounds x-rays. mammogram pretty much anything that needs to get x-rayed. They do it all and they have multiple machines so you don't have to wait long And they have a huge staff and they were on it. I got here on time for my appointment checked in, filled out the forms and they called me right back in definitely worth taking the Lil extra drive to this location. read more

I picked this imaging center because it was close to my house. Huge mistake. My appointment was at 7:00 AM on a Saturday, which is apparently the exact same time the office opens. They specifically told me to arrive 15 minutes early. I filled out all of my paperwork online ahead of time and still showed up 10 minutes early, only to stand at the front counter being completely ignored for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Then, after finally checking me in, the front desk woman gave me attitude for not arriving the full 15 minutes early. Meanwhile I ended up sitting in the lobby until 8:15 AM before they even called me back. So apparently my timing was the problem, but theirs wasn't. The MRI experience itself was mediocre at best. They only offered ear plugs, and when I asked about headphones with music, they handed me a pair that literally were not connected to anything. If you do MRIs all day long, maybe invest in equipment that makes patients slightly more comfortable. It's now been 11 days since my MRI for ongoing shoulder pain and neither I nor my doctor has received the report. Eleven days. I'm still sitting here in pain waiting because this office cannot get its act together. To make it even better, they also never gave me a receipt. My FSA company requested documentation for the charge, and when I called to ask for one, they couldn't provide it. The entire place feels disorganized and poorly managed. If you value your time, need answers quickly, or are actively dealing with pain and stress, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

Palo Verde Wave Imaging Front desk registration was excellent. Asked the techs to talk with me during the scan bc I am a bit claustrophobic. They said the MRI call button was broken and during my test I tried to get the techs attention because my leg had moved. Nobody answered me, and If my back wasn't so messed up, would have crawled out. Definately Do NOT recommend MRI here. The MRI report took 7 days to get to my Dr, so it wasn't ready for my Dr appt. Believe the bad reviews about this place. If you get referred to do an x-ray here, ask to go somewhere else. Their "walk-in" only system results in having to make appointments in person, which is totally archaic and the waste of time. Also, they attempt to have an organized lobby system, but it completely backfires and somehow I was cut in front of multiple times. The latest reason for being turned away for (for procedure that would take no more than 15 minutes) was that my RX didn't include the reason for getting an x-ray. I tried explaining that I had a separate PT referral that included "shoulder pain" it and I didn't have it anymore. This information would've been nice to know earlier, perhaps on the two other occasions I was turned away so that I can ensure I have the proper paperwork and won't have to take off another day of work for a small mishap. There is so many staff, yet it seems like nobody knows what they're doing because they keep asking each other on how to do things admin-wise. I wouldn't send my loved ones here because they lack compassion and were so unhelpful. Your experience will heavily depend on how well trained the person is (and most of them are not ). read more

I came for my Dexa Bone Density scan. The attention you get at the front desk is amazing. Friendly faces and a true care disposition with each question they ask, to make sure we are prepared for the exam. For Dexa Bone Density, no calcium for the last 2 days. Must remember that. Once you're checked-in, you'll sit in the clean waiting area and get called by your name. The professionals who work in this environment are calm, collected and friendly. When in need of X-rays or an MRI, I usually use this location. My suggestion is that you make an appointment online. There are usually plenty of days and times available. I needed to make a change by speaking to a live person and I was able to do that with a super friendly and helpful representative. When you arrive, you'll see signs for a variety of services they provide above each person behind the desk. Just know that anyone there can check you in. Some of the staff are friendly and some not so friendly. My wait time was minimal and they usually call you in with 2-3 other people. Once inside, you'll wait in a small area until they call your name. My tech was friendly and the whole process was quick. If you want a copy, you'll have to go back to the front desk. It takes about 10 mins. They are busy, so it's best to go back up after 10 mins to pick it up. Otherwise, you'll be standing around for awhile. Not loving the large waiting area filled with people, but if you have an appointment, everything moves pretty fast. read more

MRI was fine, but getting the report on the MRI in time for my doctor appointment is a nightmare. I rescheduled my doctor appointment to today based on Wave Imaging's assurance that my MRI report would be completed yesterday. As of this morning, Wave Imaging still has not completed the report for the MRI that was performed one week ago. They told me that my doctor needed to submit a request to expedite the report (even though the report was supposed to have been done yesterday per their internal guidelines). I appreciate that the folks that work here are busy, but I expect candor and competence . . . if it's not going to be ready, then don't say it will be ready. I took today off of work for my doctor appointment (which might need to be rescheduled if the report is not available and might be later than my original appointment). So frustrating. read more

This place sucks. I've had 5 MRI's in the past 3 months and by far this is the worst facility I have been to. They are not acquainted with their appointments protocol. I checked in early and they still made me wait for a very long period of time. The staff got bothered when I asked what was taking so long. After my exam they said the MRI disk vary in time frame for me to receive it. They said to come back in a hour to see if it was maybe ready. I wouldn't recommend coming here. Its like a High school atmosphere, staff are selective on who they are nice /polite to. I got two females who didnt even say Thank you. Its like they owe me attitude. Its a mass production warehouse, they dont realize peoples lives could be changed forever and they are only worried about themselves and passing the time at the clients expense. Sounds like no manager is on duty, as long as the line is full and the over priced services are good, thats what is important to them. Dont expect your report to be complete in 2 days. My new doctor had sent me to your facility to get a CD with all my 7 MRIs and the reports for those MRIs. Three weeks ago, I went inside and stood in line to get my CD and my reports. I was waiting in line for about 3 minutes, then Ms. Celynn walked towards me and asked:"What can I do for you?" I told her that I needed the CDs with 7 reports for those CDs. She said:" Please takeIt will take about 20 minutes." My name was called. It was only 5 minutes that I had waited. I could not believe that she worked so fast!!! Ms. Celynn explained:"All your 7 MRIs are on this single CD. She stapled each report and handed them to me. I see why this place has so many negative reviews. Cache was unwilling to assist with the payment of the bill. She did not want to ensure the number given was correct and told me that I needed to go through collections. Did not want to call insurance to get this corrected. I asked to speak to a manager and I was denied. Update: had to call another location to help me. TURNS OUT they have my name wrong. They called the insurance with the wrong name. Possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I took my husband into this facility this morning. I'm not sure if the clerk at the front desk was new and didn't know what she was doing, is not too bright or just wanted to be unnecessarily difficult. First, although I explained to her that the paperwork had already been filled out online, she proceeded with printing some of it and asking that I sign. Then, when I started to review the paperwork, she wanted me to immediately sign it without reviewing it first. As an attorney, I don't customarily sign documents without reviewing them, so I told her I had to review. She made snarky comments and said my husband would have to wait longer. It is completely wrong to pressure patients to sign documents without giving them an opportunity to review. She was very unprofessional. Second, she wanted to charge me over $600 because she said the deductible had not been met. I explained to her that it had been met, that I had called my insurance with another Wave representative over the phone to verify this and that the prior rep, Julissa, had indicated that she added the reference number into the notes. I let her know that at the two previous visits to other Wave imaging facilities, we were not charged up front because they confirmed the notes reflected that the deductible had been satisfied. She claimed that it had not been done and that my husband would not be seen unless we paid. I even showed her the app from my insurance showing the my husband had met his deductible and even his out of pocket max, but this was insufficient to her and she proceeded with charging us. She then said that I had to call my insurance AGAIN to do what I had already explained to her I had previously done. She said that once the insurance verified the deductible information I should call back so that it would be refunded. I RE-verified the information when I got home, got a new reference number, and have called several times to provide it, but now no one picks up and I have not received a return phone call. There appears to be no way of getting her the information she requested. I finally ended up faxing the information, but to no surprise, no one has bothered to call me back. I tried just recently to call again and someone picked up but hung up immediately. Finally, I requested two CDs of the imaging as that was what my husband's doctor asked for. She said that they only provide one and that I would have to pay $6.50 cash for the second one. I found it strange because at the two prior visits, there was no charge for the second CD and it's strange that she's asking for cash rather than being able to pay with a card. She said the that other facilities were doing it wrong. However, when I went to pay for the second CD, she proceeded to provide 3 copies at no additional cost, so at least she was nice about that. My husband also noted that the actual imaging people are just as unprofessional and subpar. Instead of focusing on his services, they were busy on their phones. The individuals at the facilities in Downey and Whittier were much more professional and courteous all around. This was a very frustrating visit and I'm hoping I don't have to visit this facility again. read more

I get MRI's frequently -unfortunately I have a terrible back and neck. So I waited an hour because the girl at the front "accidentally skipped me" THEN I go into an "open MRI" which was not open. I was horribly claustrophobic in this one and uncomfortable due to chronic pain. The man who did my MRI (a tall black man) yelled at me at least a dozen times - made me feel abused. Horrible experience- THEN I took the disc to my neurologist and she said I had to redo it as it was virtually unreadable. Horrible Horrible experience that I paid a couple hundred for. THEN I called in a complaint and they said "someone would get back to me"- never did. AVOID AVOID - I wish I had looked at the YELP sooner! read more

I had a mammogram done here and the technician was rough, causing my implant to rupture. This led to me needing surgery, which was very stressful and expensive. I tried reaching out to this office about 15 times but they never called me back. I even went to the office and spoke with a manager who promised to call me back but never did. I called her about five times with no response. The lack of professionalism and empathy from the staff is unacceptable. Not only did I suffer physically and financially, but the emotional toll has been immense. I expect better care and communication from a healthcare provider. I would never recommend using them. Had an MRI at their Lakewood location about 10 days ago but the report is nowhere. Called them several times and left voice mails after voice mails but, nobody has called back. Called and left a VM for the Supervisor also but even the supervisor hasnt called yet ( the front desk said that the supervisor was not available). They dont even bother to call you back which shows the level of customer service. I had an appt at a different center but decided to try Wave Imaging. Told the scheduler that I would need the report sooner. I even mentioned to her that I can have the Dr send a new order with STAT request. She said, to let the front office know and they will process as STAT( no need for a new order). I checked with the technician and he said, the standard report takes 3-5 days ( STAT is 1-2 days). The only reason I didnt give them a one star is because the technicians are friendly and nice. Otherwise, would have given them a one star. ----------------------------------------------- Update: Jan 21, 2026: Finally, received my report and its the worse report ever. I have done multiple MRI's in the past and all my reports specify the disc bulge / Diagnosis measured in millimeters. This is the only report that does not even specify the measurements. All it says is mild, minimal, moderate, etc. Seems like a generic report than a detailed one that I have received in the past from other MRI Centers. Such a poorly written MRI report ( even the Dr was disappointed). read more
