This place deserves 5 stars for great people who work here from front desk till MRI technician the quality care I got was in different level...They were super friendly and going above and beyond to ease my experience here. I came here for open MRI. I cant be even in open wide MRI.they have OPEN UPRIGHT MRI, so if you are claustrophobic. The tech took his time to explaining the procedure and he was communicating the whole time. I was there about 2 hrs 40 minute. The machine got hot and it was needed to the machine get started. Its a great tip and lesson learned today from my experience. Never go late there. My appointment was at 8:30 pm and the lady who called me told me to be there at 8:00pm! Anyway, its no one fault the machine gets hot so the tech needs to cool them down and thanks them to make it worked cuz i had 4 sessions for different body parts so just imagine how it was hard for technician to do all in one day but he did. He did his best which i appreciate and definitely i suggest this place to anyone who cant be in regular MRI machine! read more

If I could give them a zero star rating, they earned it. I was looking for an upright MRI, so I looked into Expert MRI. Their website lists an upright MRI unit at their San Gabriel facility, so I called and made an appointment. They sent me a confirmation text with an appointment in Bellflower. When I called to question the location, they said "Oh, our upright MRI is in Bellflower." So I made the appointment there, even though it was an hour away from me. I filled out all the forms online several days before the appointment. Then came Saturday and the appointment. We drive for an hour to get there and check in. They took copies of my insurance and ID, even though they'd been submitted online. They asked me a couple of questions which had been answered on their completed forms, then said "Have a seat, we'll call you back in a few minutes". They call me back to the desk and again ask me if I had any stents. I said "yes, I put that info on your form which I filled out a few days ago, why?" "We need your stent card". I asked them what that was, because the stents have been implanted for 9 years and I didn't know what they were asking for. They said "We need your stent card from your cardiologist in order to do the procedure." My cardiologist has never mentioned a stent card, and I've had 3 or 4 MRI's since they were implanted. They then said "I understand you're upset that we can't do the MRI, but that's our procedure". I asked if she thought maybe their forms might mention that as a requirement, and that it would have been nice to know this before driving for an hour to find out...... They had no answer, except it's their procedure. So my experience with Expert MRI left me pi$$ed off, with no MRI performed, and a hollow apology for their forms not mentioning a required item. And today I get this email from them(complete with the misspelled word): "I am reaching out regarding your recent appointment in out Bellflower office. Since it was mentioned during the appointment/screening that you have a stent, our office does require documentation which can include your Stent Card, previous MRI Reports or a clearance letter from your Cardiologist. Once you have either one of those documents, please forward them to me here or upload them via the text message link sent to you." The good news is I now know where NOT to go for imaging procedures, and I passed the stress test I had from dealing with them. :) No apology, no accountability and no correction of the issue that led to me wasting my time trying to have a procedure done. If you're looking for efficient, competent service, look elsewhere, NOT Expert MRI. read more

We didn't wait to be seen, I went in with my 11 yr old that also needed to get an MRI. I was a little nervous because I saw that they had students practicing. However the experience lady dealt with my daughter and guided her through the whole thing while the students assisted her. And with me she had the students practice but they all did an amazing job. They were very kind, helpful, thoughtful and were quick. I've been to another place for an MRI and I was terrified, clueless and cold. Recently had a knee MRI and as usual, it went smoothly and I left happy and thankful! The front desk was so helpful, especially Kathy! I felt really taken care of and calm before my not fun MRI. My tech, Mernaz was absolutely wonderful and explained every step. I was even told through the microphone how many slides were remaining to be taken which helped calm my nerves! Ih ad a very positive experience at Expert MRI. I didn't realize there were open MRI units where you can sit in a chair, and for someone who is severely claustrophobic, this made all the difference. MRIs usually cause me a great deal of anxiety, but I felt much more comfortable during my visit here. The only minor issue I experienced was that the sides of the machine became a little warm during the scan. However, I simply pressed the call button and the staff quickly adjusted the fan so it was blowing in my direction, allowing me to comfortably complete the MRI. The staff was very nice, professional, and polite throughout the entire process. Overall, everything went well, and I would definitely return to this location for future imaging needs. Highly recommended, especially for anyone who struggles with claustrophobia. read more

I visited this establishment for 2 MRI's forms were texted out to pre-fill out and was checked right in. The receptionist was polite, and accommodating. The 2 MRI's lasted 10 minutes each and were done with the "open" machine as I am extremely claustrophobic. The MRI staff made me feel comfortable during the entire process. After 2 closed failed MRI's & 1 open laying down MRI fail. I was in desperate search for a facility with an upright MRI after finding out they existed. I was still so nervous for the upright one. I arrived at the facility & all the staff was nice. I finally went through with the MRI. To say I wanted to cry from finally getting over it is an understatement. This place is god sent. The employees were very nice and professional but I have got MRI many times also in your place in the past with no problem. but today's MRI was the worst 20 minutes of my life. The machine was very very old, even with earplug It was so loud that I got a worse headache and dizziness that I had to seat and relax for 25 minutes to be able to drive. This place is strange to say the least. I should've just requested an MRI through my PCP rather than deal with this headache. Today I had an appointment at 10am, I've been getting confirmation texts every other day. I arrived at 9:45am, looked at my phone and saw a text that the machine was down and that they'd text me to reschedule my appointment. I ignored the text and went in anyway. I filled out the paperwork and 15 minutes later I got called to the back to change into a gown and pants.....notice how no one said I needed to reschedule?? I change and sit in the little mri waiting area and they said they're finishing up with someone. I THOUGHT THE MACHINE WAS BROKEN?! The 2 guys ( I think one was a student) were nice. I get in the machine and Spanish news is on. I didn't want to squeeze the bulb just for that so I waited until someone came in to the room. I asked them to change the channel, and at this point, Negar came in with the remote. I thought she turned it to some singing competition show but it was Vietnamese television! Why on earth would she do that? I was already uncomfortable and she's just making it worse. Her attitude were horrible. The guys came in to reposition me and he said "she turned it to that?!" I asked them just to shut the TV off because the anxiety of being in the space, the fact that they never offered me earplugs for the noise, and the BS on the tv was just too much. If I'm ever told I need an MRI again, I will make sure I never have to come back to this place! The quality of care was sorely lacking. read more

I called on a Thursday too make an appointment. Office said to email prescription so I did and got confirmation that it was there. "I'll call you back by the end of the day" . Left a voicemail on Friday because I never received a call. No call back! Called Saturday, "Yes, we have your paperwork, but we'll call you back on Monday to schedule." That's great efficiency! Went in for three MRI's very early in the morning with an appointment. The staff were very professional and helpful! Everything was on time and promptly, the MRI Thecnitian gave me perfect instructions and everything went smoothly and fast. What I liked the most is that they have an open MRI so it's not as claustrophobic as the normal ones! They they images of my neck and back sitting down!!! The wait time is crazy. The place is not clean and staff is not friendly. The worse is when you're told you only have to pay $200 and then you receive a bill 9 months later for $126.68. Plus, my doctor said the MRI report wasn't the best. read more
