Westland laundry is very clean and all of the machines appeared to be working. I was a little surprised how expensive it was. It was almost $20 to wash two comforters and I did not dry them all the way and I brought my own soap Again. The change machines are always empty. There is hardly ever anybody working there. If you go to Drip N Dry make sure you bring plenty of quarters and your own detergent. The rudest owner I have ever experienced in a service business. Not just once, but on several…read moreoccasions this jerk has confronted me about some trivial matter. Today, I was getting change and he confronted me that change is only for customers because it "makes so much more work for him"....Buddy, that is literally your job - servicing the public. I didn't have my laundry with me but planned to come back in with 4 loads of blankets (the place is super expensive so I needed to plan accordingly). I handed him the change back and asked for my $20 and he said, no, this is your final warning. Actually, this was the first time I ever used his change machine. I told him that I have done hundreds of loads of laundry at Suds Out and he said that doesn't matter because I was making his life harder by getting change to use elsewhere - I wasn't. I intended to use the change to do my laundry. I told him this. I told him that he was being rude and that he had been rude to me several times in the past. He then held out his hand and demanded the change back. I said no, and said you just lost a loyal customer of many years, and as I was walking out he muttered maliciously, "Get the fxxx out and have a nice day." Previously, he got right in my face - inches away, and berated me about leaving dog hair in the machine, which I was cleaning already and offered to clean thoroughly, and he said no...then he bitched so loudly about it, ranting for more than ten minutes, that he made not just me, but the rest of the customers uncomfortable. Several came up to me and asked if I was ok because I was visibly shaken by the confrontation. Did I mention the place is SUPER EXPENSIVE? What a jerk.

We all come here to do laundry after all? I did however let the woman know and she also noticed the same a few times but decided to just ignore them and especially when she one day had asked one of them for assistance, the employee refuse to help her she just said just a minute and walked away, and she never asked that employee ever again, after all she said she is there to wash cloths. One beautiful person is the older woman who is a hard worker, she is kind and very helpful to everyone, and I have never heard her gossip about anyone, the next time I go in to do laundry I will ask her for her name. there should be more employees like her, and she deserves these 5 stars, and the comfy laundromat. As for those two employees, they should project confidence and not arrogance. by aligning their behavior with a positive professional image.

Both Jackie and Terry are very helpful and kind. One item I found very disturbing; the owners allow the small children to run amuck. Although there is a designated area for children, around Service dogs this is extremely inappropriate! I almost reported them to the ADA officials and decided simply to use another place since laundry mats were going to be a short period in my life. one small child ran at my Service, of course she will bark, Service are never to be Looked At, Spoken to, Never petted nor assaulted in any manner. This is an ADA legality. The mother complained to Jackie about the one bark from my service who was laying on her blanket, then the two children came from another direction, I told them to leave my Service dog alone, this did not assuage them. My service dog has attend large affairs, small dinners, restaurants, workout at gyms and never has been assaulted several times by other. the same day as my Service dog, laid on her blanket a man turned around and went to pet her, immediately I stated, Do NOT Pet or approach my service dog. The owners took action inappropriately against the ADA law. If one does not care for very young children running around this is NOT the place for you and your laundry. The Laundry mat is well run by Jackie and Terry, there are many machines, and more expensive than other places, however the selection is massive; be aware of the unattended children. They do handle a massive amount of clientele, take in laundry and do perform an excellent job, it is the unattended children I find to be most inappropriate.

This used to be a reliable, reasonably clean place where you could at least count on getting your laundry done without hassle. That's no longer the case. While they've added things like free dryers and a dog wash station, the overall operation and cleanliness have clearly taken a backseat. The facility was in rough condition--glass in the parking lot, trash, socks, and random clothing items scattered across the floors. Several machines were out of order, and others were tied up with unattended loads, which made it difficult just to get in and out. I had to wait far longer than expected just to dry blankets. The washers had a noticeable sewer smell, and many detergent/softener compartments were clogged. When I asked about it, I was told to just put softener in the detergent slot--which says a lot about the level of maintenance and care happening here. Even the dog wash station raises concerns. One of my dog's nails got caught in the grate and split painfully. I reported it, but nothing has been fixed since. The previous owners weren't perfect, but this level of decline is noticeable. I'm disappointed to say I won't be returning. I had high hopes for the new ownership, but there's a clear need for better upkeep, safety, and overall management. Do better.

During one visit, they had a repairman or to service a machine, which would have been great if he hadn't been working in the middle of a linoleum room with a grinder on a metallic washer for some reason. It was deafeningly loud. Unfortunately, he came in between when we put in our wash and came back to move it to the dryer, so we were out of luck in simply avoiding him by returning later. They're open relatively late for a laundromat, which is great! Maybe they're less busy in the evenings? Also, no A/C. Not a major necessity, but it would be nice on ninety-five-degree days when some Maytag man busts out the electric grinder.

The man whose name is Paul was not only extremely rude and mean, told me to get my clothes out right now and started pulling my clothes out of the dryer. The last time I was there he was also there and was overheard by another customer that was not happy about being kicked out because he and his friend were going to a bar and he wanted to get out early. Change the hours on the door so people know what time they are allowed to be there.!! The owner Carol is a very sweet lady and is there in the daytime. Maybe just go there then if you can. But still I have yet to acquire a washer and dryer. Sunshine cleaners is the closest to me and it's open 24 hours. That's just a bonus. The other day I went in to do laundry, and I was rushing. It was a Friday during the day, and I wanted to be finished before rush hour. Rush hour on Sheridan is a nightmare. Anyway, in my rush to fluff and fold, I lost a shirt. I didn't realize until I got home. It wasn't an expensive shirt, but it was one of my favorite shirts. A comfy Saturday tee shirt. No biggie , I just wore it a lot and like I said , a great tee. In a flustered , kinda , hopeless , last resort, not expecting much panic... I called the laundromat and tried to explain which washer I used . I'm thinking it stuck to the top of the washer barrel during the spin cycle. At first , the woman wasn't hopeful either. I gave her my number and hung up. I proceeded to put my laundry away, and my phone rang. Literally with in two minutes. She found my shirt!!! I was so thrilled that she took the time to look for it. She even hung it for me, and put it behind the counter for safe keeping til I got back there. With the abundance of washers and dryers they have, I wasn't entirely sure she'd know which washer I was referring to, but she did! I cannot thank them enough. Now , to be real, there is a bit of a homeless population. Not overwhelming. Times are tough and honestly , there are homeless folks every where. Where they gunna go? They're HOMELESS. They're people too just trying to survive . I can't take points for that, it's no one's fault. It just is what it is. As far as the laundromat, it's clean, it has decent snacks in the vending machines , they also sell soap and there is a Taco Bell open late in the same parking lot. With the bountiful amount of washer and dryers , there is never a wait. I've been there about 6-7 times now and I've never had to wait.
