Pros: * No rodents or bugs (minus the occasional spider) * Awesome maintenance team. My maintenance requests are usually accomplished same day or next day! * Neighborhood is quiet, safe, friendly, and diverse. Easy walk to Laurel Lake and Grandville Gude Park. * I have neighbors above, below, to the left and right of me; rarely do I hear any sounds from them! The carpet helps a lot. * Complex is kept clean. * Lots of renovations and upgrades are being done. * Friendly and responsive staff! Staff consistently communicates important updates in a timely manner. * There is a convenient app to pay rent, make maintenance requests, and send/receive messages. * Keyless door entry (You type in your code on a keypad to enter; you can create a temporary code for guest). * Heat/ Air conditioning can be controlled from an app. * Appliances work well (All electric btw). * Super convenient location with LOTS of nearby shopping and restaurants. * Pet friendly community. * Storage closet on the balcony. * Amazon Lockers. * Clean pool and gym. Cons: * The outside radiators can be noisy at times. * Some amenities mentioned on the website are misleading: -There is no business center (This is what I was told after calling to use this service). -The clubhouse hasn't been open since I've lived here. This may be due to the pandemic. We were told it is currently being renovated, so maybe it will be available in the near future. -The gym is not 24 hours (since I've lived here). The gym hours were from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 9am to 5pm, but has been closed since September for renovations. Hopefully they will extend the hours once the gym reopens! If you are considering moving to Laurel, I definitely recommend The Views at Laurel Lakes Apartments!

The best apartment I have ever lived in!…read more I live in the Garden style apartments called Riverside II I live in a 2/2 with my roommate. We pay a total of $1441 which you can pay online. Our apartment overlooks the lovely patuxent river and its soooo quiet. I love it here. Management is easy to deal with. The maintenance worker is prompt, courteous. He had to come back and fix things over again but thats OK it got fixed. There is always plenty of parking. And visitors can park anywhere till 6. You get 1 parking pass per household, but thats fine because for a 3 minute walk theres plenty of street parking on Main. My apartment is gorgeous! Long patio with a door to the living room AND one of the bed rooms has a door.Laundry is included in the apt. My room has large windows and my bathroom has a window as well! Each bedroom has its own bathroom INSIDE and one bath has a door leading outside so guest dont have to walk through the bedroom. The kitchen does not have a microwave, so be prepared to purchase your own. Theres a fireplace and we live on the top floor so no pesky kids stomping around at night! We are an arms length from main street and I am excited to check out all the hot spots! You can walk to the MARC Train station and instantly be in DC. Love love love this place! Highly recommend

Now that my security deposit is safely returned, I'd like to leave an honest review. The newer units were fine. You have control over the temperature of your unit. My neighbors had kids that I never heard. However, the maintenance man in charge of that side of the complex was not great at fixing things, and we had limited faith in him. After that experience, when I needed to move, I thought it would be alright to have a one bedroom in the older buildings - they cost less, and I did appreciate that Riverview was the most pet friendly of the places I looked at (that is something I do value about them). However, while the maintenance man for that half of the complex was much better, the unit was much worse. It was still clean, no bugs that I could find, though notably older - but the walls were thin and noise was a horrible issue. I heard the person beneath me snore, the people above me stomp around like elephants (likely just when they walked, the floors/ceiling were so bad) and the people next to me either screaming or laughing. Music from other units would cause my side of the apartment to vibrate. My rent went up after a year, as is typical, but it seemed ridiculous considering how basic the unit was (I was not in a "remodeled" one) and how awful the sound proofing was (in that there was none). The remodeled units have a higher rent, which seems equally crazy unless they somehow sound proof the walls when "updating" the units. For anyone sensitive to noise, this is not a tolerable living situation. There were a few other things that were a pain about the older buildings - or at least the one I lived in. Parking was mostly on the other side of the lot, so unless you were lucky you were hauling groceries and cat litter up a small hill to get it inside. Laundry is also in the basement and the machines cost money to use. And twice, I had issues with leaks in my ceiling that required someone to come out and drain things / repaint. So either something may have been wrong with my building (it was old after all) or my upstairs neighbors were fond of floods. Overall, if you work nearby, Riverview is one of the more affordable options and comparatively safe for some parts of Laurel (though I wouldn't walk down Main Street alone after dark). Being next to the river trail was lovely. The units were kept free of pests and stuff was functional. Maintenance for emergencies was efficient and decent. But with the rise in prices, the newer buildings may not be affordable for people who live alone, and the older buildings are too noisy for me to recommend them to anyone. For their price, for anyone who likes to have the room quiet when they go to bed, it is poor value, as quiet is non-existent with paper walls. Oh almost forgot to add - this place also is fond of posting notices about maintenance the night before. So if you come home at 6, there is a notice, and the leasing office is already closed for the day. Given that I had animals that became stressed when strangers came in without me there, I really hated that they didn't provide us with ample notice to schedule going to work late, etc.

I was greeted by a lovely woman named Renee. First let me say, she was great! Very friendly, professional and well organized. She definitely knew her stuff. Although, the move isn't until next year, Renee still suggested a few different floor plan options for me. She took me around the community for a tour of one of their two bedroom/two baths which was just beautiful. It was very modern and updated. She was very thorough in explaining the amenities, different specs, costs and even the leasing procedure. Renee then showed me all of the amenities The Huntington had to offer. I was truly blown away by their indoor pool and steam room. You don't see that too often at apartment complexes. This place is kinda POSH. Definitely a 5 star experience that I can't wait to tell my pal about.

I have spent the last 15 years living in rental properties, one house, but mostly apartments. Of…read morethese, Autumn Woods ranks at the top of my list. Set in at the end of a quiet street in Jessup (though on the border and more like Savage), it is a series of three story buildings. My wife and I have a two bedroom, that is spacious and bright. Units have washers and dryers in the room, garbage disposals, low energy central air conditioning and heat, dishwashers, and balconies. However, they do not have overhead lights other than in the kitchen and walk in closet. The complex has a swimming pool, free parking, and an agreement with one of the local health clubs. Also, this is probably the best managed rental than I have lived in. The manager is big on preventative maintenance, so we have needed no major work in the apartment. They are super responsive even sending people out on weekends or at night if a major repair is needed. In some cases, they will even bring packages delivered to the office to your apartment. How great is that?! My wife and I are soon going to have to move for work, and we are very sorry to have to leave. But I recommend Autumn Woods, and especially our apartment, to anyone looking in the Columbia, Jessup, Savage, Laurel, Fort Mead area.

Car illegally towed with management knowledge, no notice to us…read more We have lived at Autumn Woods since 2011, and appreciated the management and staff. The present manager seemed OK as well, until the latest issue where their "new" policy allows cars belonging to the lessees to be towed, without notice to the lessee. In our case they told us the car was "abandoned." They said it had several flat tires as the violation. We saw one flat tire when we went to the towing company to see our car. We plan on giving notice to leave as soon as we get some things sorted out. In summary, we have 4 cars between the 2 of us that are registered with the apartment office. Two nights ago at around 11pm we found that one car was missing. It had been towed and the manager of the apartment office tells us there is nothing she can do and the only thing for us to do was to pay the towing company close to $500 plus $75 each additional day to get our car back. (The previous manager assured the lessees that no car would be towed until they notified the owner lessee(s) of the possible tow. The present manager told us she cannot give us notice because she cannot track the cars, registered with them. She told us a sticker was placed on the car for 3 days. We never saw it and have no idea when it was put on. If she is telling the truth, it means 3 days with ONE flat tire and a car, that has valid tags (in our case the tags were valid until 2020) will be considered "inoperable" and "abandoned!" We went to the towing company's lot and found that one tire was flat. (Not multiple tires as the manager claimed). The car doors were open and the battery was run down, so we could not drive it out. The car was completely operable when it was parked at the complex. (There are many ways a battery can be run down - just keep a light on the whole night and it will do it.) The same towing company said they will tow the car back to the apartment complex (after we paid them their $500 fees etc.) if we paid them also for the tow. We are VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE HONESTY of the present management. We asked the apartment company owners (Storch Realty) to get our car back. We got no reply. There are wonderful reviews of the complex on apartments.com. I will not believe them because the site will not allow you to post anything negative about any apartment they allow you to rate. The negative comments are removed. It seems it is a paid site supported by leasing companies and/or their owners.

Now, management has changed and fun living and feeling welcomed here is no longer a feeling for us. The amenities here are supposed to be a part of living and paying for a luxury apartment, but here that isn't the case anymore. We used the Community Room for a friendly and fun gathering for the holiday. We were given permission to use the room. After using the room we were first charged $1,000. After retaining an attorney, he advised us that there is nothing in our lease stating that they can charge us for using the room. After receiving the letter from our attorney Christy and Jasimon changed the $1,000 to $500. Which we haven't paid, because it's not valid or fair. I feel like we were targeted for them to get extra money from us for the activities that they have here. People use that room all the time, even the night before we did and they were not charged. A fact that I know! It seems like since management changed, everything has changed for the worst. Why live in a luxury apartment if you can't utilize the amenities that you're paying for? I have had two packages stolen that has still not showed up. Thankfully, the two companies resent my orders to me. This week has been the fourth or fifth time that we had to put in a work order for the microwave. It keeps cutting out, and tripping the breaker. The last time we smelled smoke. I have asked the last maintenance guy to put in an order for a new microwave. We'll see what happens or how long this will take. I pray that living here gets better and back to fun the way it used to be.

If she's not working everyone is goofing off or just laughing in the one girls office. I used to call and get a message to people but not any more. I submitted a service request three weeks ago about my faucet not working in the sink. Called about it. Said it'd be fixed by the end of the week. That was last Friday. Still broken. In short they do not have the same standards as before and it starts in that office. I don't know if it's poor management or what but they need to rethink who they hire and how they work. They are nice. I will say that. But really just goofing off in suits most days. My lease isn't over until December but I am not renewing. Not here.

Nick and Jaycee in the management office are professional, responsive, and easy to work with. Cynthia deserves special recognition. She truly elevates the experience of living here. Her warm, welcoming presence makes a real difference; she is consistently courteous, friendly, and genuinely makes residents feel at home. In my view, she is the heart of the building, and The Vine would not feel the same without her. The building itself has a polished, almost hotel like feel. Amenities include a pool, a 24 hour gym, dedicated meeting rooms, and a resident activity space with a pool table and bar. There are multiple outdoor kitchens that are great to use when the weather is nice. A trail directly behind the building leads to Maple Lawn, and the location offers very convenient access to Routes 29 and 32, with easy connections to I 95. Community building is clearly a priority here. The Vine regularly hosts resident events such as resident nights, game nights, Halloween and Christmas parties, National Donut Day celebrations, and more. They also bring food trucks on a routine basis, which makes it easy to grab something different on a weeknight without leaving the building. As a small but meaningful detail, the building almost always smells great, which adds to the overall experience. Parking is another highlight. The garage has five levels, and as an electric vehicle owner, I appreciated the availability of eight EV chargers. Over the years, the number of electric vehicles in the building increased significantly, and residents were consistently respectful about communicating and sharing access. That cooperative dynamic reflects the broader sense of community. The apartments offer a range of layouts, from smaller units to three bedroom options. I lived in a three bedroom apartment that was just over 1,400 square feet, which felt like a comfortable and reasonable amount of space for me and my two kids. This complex is more than 30 years old, so the apartments have low ceilings and feel less modern than newer complexes despite renovations. While the complex has basic amenities like a pool and outdoor grills, the fitness center and club house space was very underwhelming. That said, these apartments are still worth checking out since the prices are competitive for similar, older complexes. We appreciated the leasing agent, Anya, who was very friendly and informative and made our tour enjoyable.
