Be aware that the current (September 2025) process for applying for one of their apartments requires providing a third party with logon credentials for your bank account, so that the deposit history for your account can be reviewed to verify your income. That became apparent to me only after I had paid the application fee, which is non-refundable. I usually get a cappuccino, coffee, or chai tea and sit while completing some work for the day. The other day I finally tried the food and it literally blew me out the water! I ordered the steak and eggs (roast beef and scrambled eggs) it was delicious and it had so many amazing layers of flavor. There was this sauce or gravy that covered the protein and the croissant was flaky, crispy, and buttery all at the same time. Ultimately this was the perfect breakfast sandwich. This should be on diners, drive in, and dives! I may recommend! I also got a white mocha but the sandwich was the star! read more

C street Flats, this was my home for 2 years. The location is a hidden gem of Laurel, it was an absolute perfect match for my apartment criteria. It is a quiet community compared to the other apartments in the area and Laurel. Most apartments in Laurel are outdated and expensive, C street Flats is affordable and modern. The area includes beauty salons, restaurants, cafes, yoga studios (Sankofa), and many other attractions. The apartment appliances are updated, offers keyless entry door locks, and most importantly maintenance answers all calls and goes to the furthest extent to ensure the building and appliances are well taken care of. When I moved to MD, C Street Flats was the only apartment complex that I toured. I fell in love with it immediately. Maria locked me in with her personality and Gerald really made a difference with my experience at C street. His ability to empathize, level of professionalism, and dedication to serve the residents at C street made my stay here comfortable. No matter how many questions I asked, Gerald had the answers. No matter how many times I called, Gerald would answer my calls and respond to my emails. Gerald is the heart of C Street! When I moved out of the apartment, it looked the exact same as when I moved into the apartment. When I moved in to C street in 2018 I thought I had picked the perfect place to live. Unfortunately over the years the issues with safety, cleanliness, and management really stacked up and made C Street a miserable place to live. Safety In 2020 with no notice C Street changed all of our key fobs to work with a combination instead of a physical key. Anyone who watches you enter your code outside would not only be able to enter the building using that code but would also be able to enter your room. After this change and hearing yelling in the hallway at night on multiple occasions I was only able to feel moderately safe in my room by purchasing a door jammer to make sure nobody could unlock my door from the outside. Cleanliness/Maintenance There is a cleaner who comes once a week, and if you plan to use the elevators or leave your apartment after they haven't been there for a few days expect there to be trash and smells wafting in the buildings. There are bugs that crawl up through the drains and trash normally surrounding the dumpsters. There are giant orange buckets stopping leaks outside which is one signal that maintenance isn't what it should be there. When my ceiling started leaking in 2020 and I called the emergency maintenance number I was shocked to find out that the emergency number was just the office phone number extension and nobody was able to respond to my emergency that day. I needed to deal with water leaking through my ceiling and damaging my furniture until the manager answered my email the following day. Management If you work during business hours and have any sort of a commute don't expect to be able to pick up packages until Saturday. C Street's office has had inconsistent office hours posted on Google and their website, and even assuming the shorter hours out of the two they still aren't in the office most of the time when I tried to stop by to get my things. About half of the time I went to the office to pick up packages there was a sign on the door indicating that they had stepped away or left early. Management also lacks communication skills in key areas. When the exterior key fobs were replaced residents were not notified and I was left with no way to enter my apartment building for hours. When I attempted to receive clarification about move-out costs, the manager gave me incorrect information, required me to back-date a lease contract absolving C Street of legal liability, and sent me to a collections agency. Overall I'm so glad that I've left C Street. Don't waste your time and money moving there if you value safety, cleanliness, or quality management. read more

I really enjoyed living at C-street Flats. We were there for 6 years. The staff and management made life at C-street Flats very pleasant. The apartment was very nice with hardwood floors, granite counter-tops, modern light fixtures, and covered parking. From Allison, Maria, Cho, to Gerald, I truly hated to live C-streets. I have lived at C Street Flats for about a year and a few months now. I really love it. The area is always clean, great smell in the elevator banks lol. I appreciate that the marc train is a walk away, many nice shops and stores in both walking distance and driving accessible. I have no issue with noise because they have quiet hour and I think everyone in my building respects that. The gym is small and need some more equipment like weights but overall you get a great workout if you know what you are doing. The grounds are kept clean and tidy. There is parking available as well. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Gerald is so amazing. He is always open to talks and help with any issues you may have about renting. He explains things well and will take as many calls until you are fully educated on whatever you need. I thoroughly enjoy living here and if I ever leave and had to choose to live in another apartment, I would DEFINITELY come back to C Street Flats. read more

I have been at C Street since 08/2019. I love it here because it's mostly quiet and it is a nice area. I have seen the office transition from Mrs. Maria (whom I miss) to Raven. Raven is a great addition to the office. I feel that Her and Gerald have really helped us residents out during this Covid-19 pandemic. I moved to C Street when it was first built. I have never lived in such a well managed,maintained, clean, and well serving to the residents of C Street Flats. The manager here has successfully picked up where Alisson left off a few years ago. I feel safe here,I know my neighbors and they know me either by sight a good morning or just a waves from our cars. No place is perfect,but here the manger is the best you will find within a 100miles of here. I'm a brand new resident who recently moved in with in the past week. But I will say that I have never experienced better professionalism and customer service than what I've received from management here. From the time I set foot on the property, both Gerald and Raven made sure that I was taking care of. From providing all the information I requested to ensuring that my apartment was in the best condition possible prior to me moving in. But so far, I am enjoying my time here at C Street Flats. I love the location, the environment, and just the overall atmosphere. My one-bedroom provides just enough for what I need, and at the same time provides that "new and modern" feel that I was looking for. I lived at C Street when they first opened and have been nothing short of impressed. Allie, Maria and Choul are just awesome!! They're always friendly and accommodating and make living at C Street a pleasure! They do cool things for the residents twice a year for residence week, such as smore's night, karaoke, mimosas and muffins, free food at Nando's and lots more. Not to mention they have Pet of the Month and doggie treats in the leasing office. They even wrap your Christmas gifts for FREE every Christmas!! The location is awesome and convenient to everything. The fact that they're pretty much leased up, says a lot about the place and the people that live there. We have currently lived here for a little over 6 months . Although when we first moved in here we absolutely loved it nice and quite and felt secure . Now I'm looking forward to moving out in a few months. Lock on the entrance door hasn't worked for months so anyone can access building now anytime. Windows allow a lot of draft and cold air now in the winter. Had noisy neighbors move in above us, and since then managment has not done a thing but claim they will take "action". When we signed are lease we agreed to "quite hours" but we have yet to see that be enforced. We placed several complaints they gave us the run around for months , having to email multiple times get responses . We even tried to speak with neighbors making the noise per their request. They continue making noise above us , slamming and moving furniture daily, running garbage disposal, tapping on the flooro and slamming things at 1am and on . We had the police called on us for trying to reason with neighbors to keep quite . The noise never stopped and continues until this day . Managment/corporate has done nothing until this day so there is no longer a point of complaining . So if you are a early riser or go to bed early expect to hear all sorts of sounds and if you have a loud nieghbor forget about managment enforcing "quite hours" or taking your right to quite hours seriously. I understand property managers can only do so much but Klingbeil managment did not take complaints serious . Overall the this place a aesthetically nice, staff is nice , but managment could focus more on current residents needs, security and overall complaints better. I would say give this place a shot if you truly need a place as we did but beware that they may pay little to no attention once you have moved signed the lease. read more

C Street Flats stood out from all of the rest because of their excellent customer service, ability to provide information, and overall willingness to assist an interested customer. I had the pleasure of first speaking to and then later meeting both Allie and Cameron. My experience was painless. I was able to ask a plethora of questions and take a lengthy tour of the location. I was very disappointed with the service at this apt complex. I was deceived to think when maintenance came in and looked at the apt in my leaving and said everything was in order after I had the carpet professionally washed and spot painted the minor wall stains. I later received a bill and they basically force you to pay because otherwise they will take you to court. You cannot tell someone that their apt passed and then a month later tell them they have to pay for minor carpet problems that were addressed when I had the carpet cleaned. This was after Ally left and a new manager came. She was heartless, a liar and a deceiver. I was a honest, decent, paid my rent on time tenant, but that did not matter. I would not recommend this place for a dog to stay, even though they praise dogs more than the tenants. read more

A tiny utopia ! 3 weeks ago I moved here not expecting much. The staff Maria, Kayleigh and Choul at the leasing office are so helpful and makes sure my stay at C street flats is a great experience. (Maria even called me when I forgot one of my sandwiches at Sips of C street Flats) The apartments are luxurious from the gleaming hardwood floors to the updated modern kitchen design. When I first signed the lease I thought that the space would be too small for me. However, these apartments have high ceilings so the space actually seems just right. Living here has been incredible! I love my apartment, which is new and stylish. But what really makes me enjoy living here is the staff and residents - it truly is a community. Allie and the leasing office team, including Choul, the head of maintenance, are on point! They provide impeccable service and do it with a smile and a friendliness that are unmatched. Hi name is Shantel, I never write reviews! But I had to take some time to tell you all just how magical and wonderful and joyous my time was living at C street flats. I was in the Unique which has gorgeous window space, so much green; super zen and relaxing. My bedroom was spacious and and personal with high ceilings and my own entrance to the bathroom. I loved my apartment I am so sad to give it up, I'm only leaving because I am moving out to the west coast for work, but if the Unique is available take it, or better yet get your name on the list! I was so happy to come home to my apartment after work and just BE in that space and It was hard to get me to come out. I've seen the other apartments on site and they all have a similar feel, great big windows and lots of sunlight. I just loved being there! The staff at C street are AMAZING!!!! They are INCREDIBLE. I loved Maria, she is so warm and welcoming and hilarious. I would often just come by the office to just chat with her. I will miss Maria. I loved Gerald, he is funny and so committed to making sure his residents are welcome taken care of. Its not often you come across a land lord who is super supporting end relatable. Choul was the person on staff who was like the "handyman" he was dope! great guy! I missed him when he left but their new guy was just as nice. they just have a really strong team. I even had the opportunity to meet with Lauren, their regional manager, one time through Maria and she was so personable and down to earth. Everyone is there to truly make your home feel like home and to assist you in whatever way they can. The only downside was may be the guy above me who marched really loudly, he was in the military so it made sense. But that was it! My neighbors were nice too. No crime in the area. I felt super safe all the time. they always made sure the lights outside my building were installed and working so I could get from my car to the building at night safely. Poor way of doing business. They lie and tell you they have availability when in reality they don't. Went in person and they didn't even offer to show me an apartment. The receptionist was very lazy I think her name was Alison or something. It was as if I was taking up HER time!! They still haven't gotten back to me. The best thing about C Street Flats is the staff. Especially Maria in the leasing office. She brings so much joy to that place! And Allie did too before she left. Amazing staff .. oh and Choul!! but the apartments are poorly built. I was one of the first residents of C Street Flats and after Allie left, the conditions went down hill. The apartment itself is rather small but worked for me. Doesn't take much to please me -high ceilings and windows, granite countertops and stainless steal appliances -so I was pretty content during the four years. There is poor ventilation, and insulation however. And things in the common areas were never kept up. Trash compactor and door handles were always broken. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was wrongfully evicted and accused. I received an eviction notice with no warning and was given only 30 days to vacate. And no one in the leasing office knew what was going on. I believe Kimball Management discriminated against me, there was no proof of anything they were accusing me of. And after going to the leasing office to fight it, I was told the notice was a "mistake." Clearly there was miscommunication somewhere down the line but either way stay farrrrrr away from these apartments unless you're desperate because you may be evicted for no reason and forced to find housing in less than 30 days. read more

This place has been an absolute joy living at! The staff is extremely kind, always follows up with you about any concerns you have, and is in general very welcoming and a pleasure to interact with. We love the close proximity to Main St. in Laurel, where there we go to our favorite coffee shop (Ragamuffins) to do school work. Plus, the Towne Centre at Laurel is right down the road with a movie theatre, grocery story, and lots of places to eat. HIGHLY recommend C Street Flats! read more

DO NOT RENT FROM C STREET!!!! Pros Close to the Marc train station and Interstate Cons Move out Horror: Ever since the original property manager Allison left, this place has been in shambles (now I know the real reason why she left after maternity). Allison was replaced by Kayleigh who was later replaced by Brian and neither Kayleigh nor Brian knew what they were doing. They are pretty unresponsive and clueless. I had a time I had to add someone to my lease and Kayleigh who was the property manager at the time did not know how to go about that. Then I knew had to get out of there when my lease was up. Nobody communicated the move out procedures to me so when my last day was up, I dropped off my keys at the rental office only to find out 2 months after that I was being charged all these fees which were completely not accurate. One or two of the fees such as repainting a wall that I had previously painted- that I would agree to. Fast forward, I contacted C Street Flats only to find out Kayleigh was gone (good riddance) and Brian as the new property manger. I called on 1/26/2018 spoke with Brian and expressed my concern about being charged all these fees and was disputing them. He then later told me that those fees would have been best disputed during my move-out walkthrough which I never had because no one communicated that with me. He assured me that he was going to look into it and get back to me. Sent him an email immediately after our phone conversation to summarize the discussion we just had and to give him some additional context into what was going on. I got a response back from him 30 minutes later acknowledging receiving the email (so I clearly didn't send it to a wrong email account). First week went by, no word from Brian so I decided to follow up via email on 2/4/2018. I'm writing this review on 3/2/2018 and I still haven't heard back. I've called the office multiple times and left messages and no one has returned any of my calls nor emails. I just learnt now that the bill has been sent to collection due to their stupidity and unresponsiveness. Other Issues: - I lived there for 2 years and within the first 6 months, my microwave broke and I was without a microwave for a month. I was told that they had to order parts from the manufacturer and it would take a month so I was told to use the oven in the meantime because they are too cheap to provided a temporary replacement for my use. P.S- I was one of the first residents that moved in when they first opened up in 2015. So why should a brand new building with brand new appliances be breaking? - The building is not properly insulated or properly built, so your electric bill (BGE) is always so high. You come in to your apartment and it's still freezing cold even when the heater thermostat is set to 75 degrees. The hallways were also so cold in the winter and burning hot in the summer because there is no air/heat flow. They eventually changed the light bulbs to reduce the heat in the hallway. - The elevator breaks all the time too in the only building that has the elevator (Building 3). We had no elevator access for months due to "repairs". It's my first time writing a review because I'm a very easy person to please and I just hate the stress of writing one but this nonsense C street Flats does needs to end. Hire quality staff member or maybe the management company Klingbeil Capital Management just sucks as a whole The 1 star goes to Choul- the maintenance guy otherwise they deserve zero star. If you know what's good for you, avoid renting from C Street Flats. They are all a bunch of incompetent people/management. read more

I moved into a 1 bedroom apartment at C Street Flats soon after they opened and lived here for about 2.5 years. I chose the location because it was a reasonable commute to the University of Maryland campus, as well as Fort Meade. Additionally, it was located on a cute, quiet historic street in Laurel which I found charming. The apartments themselves are very nice for the price. You can see where some cost-cutting decisions were made in order to keep the rent prices reasonable, but the apartments do still look quite luxurious. I received a lot of compliments about how the space felt much bigger than just 500 sq. feet due to the thoughtful layout, large windows, and high ceilings. I also really enjoyed that the closet was quite large and had a personal, stacked washer and dryer inside. Neighbors were generally respectful when it came to quiet hours and noise. However, I will say that the walls and floors are on the thinner side (you will occasionally hear the footsteps of your lead-footed upstairs neighbors). The complex has a nice outdoor gathering area, though not many people use it (which is a bonus because it is almost always available for you and your guests). They also have a gym, but I will say that it is very very minimal. There is a trail that runs right behind the apartment complex that is great for a nice walk or jog on a sunny day, and also has a playground not too far down. Overall, the complex is kept fairly clean, but the trash area could be better. Maintenance is extremely quick and responsive and will have basic issues in your apartment fixed within a day or two of submitting a maintenance request. Packages are kept locked up in the leasing office and they send you can email and text when you have received one. Management is very friendly when you visit them in the office, particularly Maria, she is the sweetest woman in the world! However, some of the managers can be VERY hard to reach via email or phone if you have a complex issue or billing issue. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at C Street Flats! I have only decided to move to a new place in order to be closer to my job in Washington, D.C. read more

I moved here almost a year ago, Allie and Patrick were very helpful and did several things during the transition from my previous apartment which made me realize I was making the right move. The thing I like the most is the information they put out to their residents and the little customer service details that make you feel that they truly care and you are part of a community. This is a VERY relaxing community and the level of service from the leasing office is second to none! They are very personable and I'm treated like a friend and not just "resident". There are plenty of community events throughout the year and coming soon is a café right in the community! Very walkable area with a park adjacent to the property - you're never more than 15 mins away from anything. MARC Train and Metro Bus are close to the community and the highway is less than a mile away. I made the right move coming here and I haven't been this satisfied with an apartment community ever. I'll start by saying when i first moved into C Street it was amazing. We were warmly welcomed and everything was taken care of quickly and effectively. From the outside the place looks beautiful, nice lounge area and a small gym. There is one consistent problem which you will only be made aware of if you are someone who comes home from work late at night and that is the parking. Parking at night and on the weekends is impossible. Half of the cars parked there do not have parking stickers and towing is not enforced. You will most likely have to park up near main street and walk down to the apartments if you come home late at night. I have had to sleep in my vehicle one night due to the fact there was absolutely no parking all the way up to main street , eventually i just paid the extra $40 a month for a parking spot and did not have to worry about parking again. For the first 6 months i only had minor problems ,typical Apartment problems such as banging from the overhead Apartment which is expected. The doors in the apartment are extremely cheap, they are almost like cardboard. i opened the bathroom door one morning to clean the floors and when I opened the door the doorstop went through the top of the door. The toilet seat is extremely flimsy i had to re-tighten it every month. Again, minor problems and i usually try to take care of everything myself and keep it moving. The water is kind of odd, when it dries it leaves a pinkish stain in the shower not sure why but it does. Heres where things start to get bad... Residents started blaring music extremely loud in their apartments and having very loud parties, again i try to understand it is an apartment complex and with that there will be noise. However, every weekend it is like that. In addition there is always a smell of marijuana in the building late at night no matter what day of the week. It is usually very strong in the elevator and stairwell. Over time the Marijuana smell grew increasingly more frequent and strong, so strong that it started getting into my apartment and i could smell it at night while trying to sleep. It became a task to try and sleep at night, the loud neighbors, the screaming and yelling and loud music coupled with very loud cursing and the extremely high smell of Marijuana...As time progressed things kept deteriorating. The building is supposed to be secure but isnt really... Your supposed to have a key fob as the only way to get into the building. However most of the time someone props the doors open and people come in and out as they please. If you live in building 3 there is a set of double doors that faces B street... those doors can be pulled open easily without a key, i watched multiple times as people just pulled a little aggressively on the doors and they came open. With all of that being said I still tried to make the best of it. About 2 months before me and my wife decided to leave we noticed a roach, we killed it shrugged it off and figured it was a one time thing since after nearly 8 months we hadn't so much as seen a bug. About 2 days later we noticed another one and started to get a little alarmed. A week after that we had seen 7 in one day in our apartment and freaked out. I went to the store and spent about $100 dollars in pest control equipment and traps. The weeks to follow it became unbearable... we were killing atleast 4 a day by hand, multiple roaches from babies to full adults. There were babies coming from underneath the little crevices in the walls and at night there would be adult roaches running all over the walls and ceiling when we would turn the lights on. IT WAS BAD! It became so bad that we would see them crawling out of the sink, dishwasher and behind the oven. We could not bare it any longer, we wrapped all our belongings in plastic wrap and had to sleep at my family's house for the last month of us living there. We told the leasing office about the problem multiple times. Eventually we moved out and by the time we moved out we had caught about 30 roaches on the traps we put down and killed by hand way more than that. I will say that Maria and Choul are the only things good about C Street, Maria is genuine and treats everyone like family and she really tries to do everything to take care of you that she possibly can, she will immediately get on top of any issue you have and bring it to her higher ups. Maria is the only one from the Leasing office that will take all your concerns and try to do whatever she can for you. Choul the maintenance guy is awesome , he is extremely kind and will help you whenever you need it. If you bring something to his attention he will fix it almost the same day or the very next! If Maria and Choul were running C Street it would be a 5 star high class complex. But unfortunately they dont. My recommendation is do not move to C Street, not if you are looking for something above and beyond. read more
