Came in for lunch after a day at the beach. The place was empty. Pretty views of the beach, and the air force was practicing for the air show which was nice to watch. Crystal helped us. She was extremely friendly and helpful. She told us everything was good and she did not lie. All of the food was fresh and tasted well season. The fried shrimp and pizza were the best in my opinion. Overall the experience and food was great but i believe it was a little over priced. Our bill came out to $100 (with tip) aside from the dishes we also got 1 kids soda, a lemonade and a draft beer. I just think for the money, you're better off going into a restaurant with more options and better food. You really are paying for convenience if you're staying at the tidewater beach resort. read more

The attitude on some of the restaurant employees are enough to make you never stay at the Tidewater Resort again! Extremely RUDE and nasty, or are either on their phones and dismissive, just as the other reviews state. Most of them seem highly irritated that you are here on vacation and they aren't, and when they make a mistake on your food order (happened to us twice) they gaslight you, and when you try to explain how they're treating you very poorly, they'll flat-out tell you to "leave then", and accept NO responsibility. If management read these reviews, maybe they'd understand why they are so bad, and hire employees who are kind to patrons spending money in your restaurant and understand that good customer service is having the ability to take accountability whenever you make a mistake and fix it, we are all human in the end. read more

Thank goodness this place was here. My son and I were unable to check into our room until three and had a few hours to kill after ubering to the hotel from the airport. My son was about to lose his mind from hunger and tiredness. This placed saved us. The waitress and cook were super nice. The seats were comfy with a great view of the ocean. The food was good too. A small restaurant tucked away in Tidewater resort. Food was surprisingly good. Views of the beach are very nice. Staff is very friendly. They have a bar with good tiki drinks and you can get standard cocktails. Fantastic if you don't want to leave the building. read more

My husband and I arrived at the resort happy to see they had a bar and grill inside. We saw the previous reviews and went in without expecting much. It was slow for a Friday night and we sat at the bar. We both ordered the drink Ship "wrecked" and they were strong. The food is typical bar food, but it was good for what it was. I'm reviewing the indoor restaurant- and it was fabulous! After trying to get in at multiple places on the strip we ended up back at the condo. Dinner was very good & we were glad it worked out that way. Brandon was super fast and efficient and treated our kids like people and not just kids. Actually, my 8 year old reminded me to do a 5 star review because she loved dinner so much. I don't recommend this place for drinks but the food and service were much, much better than expected. read more

This is a great little bar/cafe in the Tidewater Resort. Beautiful gulf front views of the gulf. They have good breakfasts. But we decided to get take out dinner tonight and were frankly blown away about how good it was. The fried grouper sandwich I had was as good as I have had at PCB. The fish tacos were also a hit among our family. The thick angus hamburger (cooked to order) was delicious as were the burger sliders. We will definitely be taking advantage of this convenient cafe when we have future stays at the Tidewater. read more

The fried avocado appetizer is amazing. Very tasty. If I would of just gotten those, this would of been a 5 start review. I also go the chicken sandwich. looked great, and the sauce on top was great. the chicken was horrible. the issues is, it tasted like fish. like bad fishy fish taste and smell, but it was in fact chicken. It was so fishy I thought they had given me fish. I could only get through 3 bites as it was so strong. It has been 8 hours and I can still tastes that fish taste. I am hoping it did not cause food poisoning. I do not recommend the chicken sandwich at all. They need dedicated cooking surfaces. read more

They are supposed to be open until 7 pm during the 'off season' . We get there at 1:50 and there is a sign out front stating their hours are only until 2pm. Ok, we sit down and the server comes over and says they will only rake our order 'to go'. .... read more

It's all about the service. We are staying at the Tidewater this week and have eaten at Waves Bar and Grill 3 times, one of which was delivered to our room. Delivery - order arrived within the 20 minute timeframe they provided but there were no straws or barbecue sauce that I specify asked for. After I calling the restaurant they brought the item up in about 15 minutes. Breakfast was great - especially the hash browns. Unfortunately we continued to run out of drinks and we could not locate our waitress. So after we sat there for 10 minutes waiting on her to stop by I want to the bar and finally had someone refill our drinks. Lunch - taking our drink order and our food order took way too long. When it was time to pay my wife and 2 kids were tied of waiting so they came back to the room. I waited with my other child for 15 minutes then another 5 standing at the bar just to pay. In summary the food is good and the views are great - just be ready to call out to the server or manager because you will be bypassed. read more

Went here on our last morning to kill time before the airport. The server was on his cell phone a majority of our time there- we were the only patrons. Coffee was weak and not drinkable. Ordered the pancakes thinking it was a safe bet. Nothing to write home about and would have been equivalent to freezer pancakes. This is my first negative review and a warning to skip this place. Food was really delicious. The wings were perfectly cooked and the Smoked Chicken Nachos had a great flavor and was enough for two of us. The food is reasonably priced for a tourist place. As for the service, the waiter was maybe not as attentive as he could have been. I did have to ask for refill on drinks when they could have been offered. Overall, I would recommend it to everyone who stays at Tidewater because the food is worth it, even if the service is a little on the slow side. TIP: Don't wait for someone to come to you, just ask for what you want and the service will be fine. read more

The food was great.. BUT the service was horrible, our server had an attitude from the second we got there. He was on his phone and sighed when we walked in(the only people in there). I asked for a side salad and received fries. Once we got our food we didn't see the server again. We needed napkins and never got them. Never got drink refills. Horrible horrible service. read more

I came here today around 1:16 pm hoping to order some food to go! Well I was never greeted by the hostess as she was assisting someone at the time. I had a seat at the bar. There was a gentleman there typing something on the screen (maybe and order). He never acknowledged me. There was another gentleman walking back and forth in the bar and he never acknowledged me. It was until that second gentleman came back that I approached him and asked if I could place a food order at the bar. He said yes and took my order. At 1:56 I had not received my food and at this time there was no one at the bar. I asked the hostess to inform the manager that I would like to speak with her. The manager came to the bar did not acknowledge me either and proceeded to answer a phone that was ringing. She then spoke on the phone walked to the back and closed the door. It was at that point that I knew she could careless about a dissatisfied customer. For that reason I will never go to this restaurant again! I was staying in Tidewater Resort. read more
