I have never written a yelp review before, but I had such an unbelievably bad experience here, I want to be sure those who are looking for a car wash have all the information they need prior to spending their well-earned money. I have been here many times, and every other time it was fine. Not the best car wash I've ever been to, but acceptable for $30 full service. However, I went today and I will NEVER go back. As I was gathering my things, one of the men growled at me to "hurry up and get out of the car." That was weird and upsetting and forced me to rush, but no harm, no foul. However, because I was rushed, I left my full starbucks drink in the car. Obviously they cannot be responsible for personal effects, but a drink is a drink, plus I was being pushed out of the vehicle. Regardless, as I pulled away, I was struck by three things: 1. There was still dirt on the exterior 2. The interior is FILTHY! Which is why I originally went! I've been carting my dog back and forth to the vet, and had my bank account not gone down $30, there would be no evidence of the car having been "cleaned." 3. Someone either spilled or drank my drink! I say that because it wasn't dumped out-the ice was still in there-but it was empty?! Not one to hide behind an online review, I drove back and addressed it. The poor guy was very apologetic, but what could he do? I told him I understood it wasn't his fault, and I appreciated him hearing me out so that he could pass along the fact that I will never return and that I would be writing this review. DO NOT GO. It was a horrible experience, my car isn't clean, I don't have a drink, I'm down $30 (plus starbucks) and I got yelled at by some man as the cherry on top. This was so disappointing. I love supporting small business, but you have to be able to pull your weight-this place needs to get better control of those who work there and put some serious requirements of their jobs in place. These guys are the worst! Went there a few times for exterior was only. I had to pull over after they did the exterior and wipe the car. Windshield was went, I had to put my wiper blades to pull away to see where I was going. One worker came over to me as I was drying and he apologized and said he only does interior and that he will have the manager come speak to me. As a side note, I counted 19 guys standing around with rags in their hands in front of me talking about football. There was only one other car at the wash . The one worker told me the owner gets a lot of complaints and I have to agree, the times that I had been there, I always saw someone off to the side and the owner once again apologizing for their work. The owner stands around joking with the guys which is probably the problem because I know of several neighbors that went to the wash and complained to the owner of the same problems I have encountered. He just patronizes you promising better service if you come back , only to be disappointed and a waste of your money, and they are not a cheap car wash. Go elsewhere. read more

Moved from Iowa one month ago and have not had a chance to get our car washed until today. Stopped into Waves and got the basic wash ($10) plus interior clean ($7). They did an outstanding job inside and out and they did it with humor and energy. They were actually having fun while they worked! Kept waiting for that song "whistle while you work" to start playing and someone to jump out and say we were being filmed or something. Great experience and wish now I had left a bigger tip in the black tip box. Next time I will - and there will be many next times. read more

Waves Car Wash takes automated car washes to a new level! The staff are very pleasant and help you choice the wash you want. The in-car wash experience is cool and fun. You stay in the car while the wash tube conveyor belt pulls your car through the stages of the wash. Interesting sights and sounds kids (and adults) enjoy. Then the interior clean out is quick, thorough, and done with a smile. In and out in 10 minutes on a busy day. Great experience. Will be back! read more

What is wrong with some of these customers. We have both our cars on full service and wash them every weekend. I have never had a problem. My car is usually checked by the supervisor before they call me over. Check your car over before you leave the car wash. I guarantee you they will jump on it and get it done to your satisfaction. read more

Wave Car Wash is a great addition to Lewes. During my last visit, one of the staff walked across the parking lot to Walgreens which is next door to tell me that one of my tail lights was out. What exceptional service from a great staff. And they do a great kob cleaning my car! read more
