The food is consistent, though it can take awhile to be made/ ready which is very normal at most Wawas. It's a super clean and nice store inside. Located right along North Florida Ave it's a good place to stop at before heading to the interstate just down the road. My review is this Wawa on 98 N. And Bartow Rd off of Edgewood. They don't like to service lottery. If the machine can't take the proper numbers you have on the card it can't take the .50c on the machine if they have a lottery machine next to the register, I don't know why they can't do the lottery if you're having a problem with the machine. This store was the closest to play and the refusal didn't let me get in a play of numbers! read more

Made a quick stop off here after eating in the area. I needed to gas up for the trip home, and also wanted to put some air in the tires. There were plenty of pumps and it was easy to find one open. We filled up quickly. The air pump is free, and had about four cars in line for the use of it. It went relatively quickly and they have a large lot so it was easy to be out of the way from traffic while we waited. The air pump worked fine and we were on our way. Wawa has certainly expanded its presence throughout Florida and that is certainly good news for Floridians, but for Floridians who relocated here from eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it was bringing a piece of home down here to the Sunshine State. Wawa is so much more than a simple gas station. Yes, it features a multitude of gas pumps offering competitive prices and I applaud them for offering air for your tires from an air pump that does not require a payment. Should be common sense, but most gas stations have decided that they can generate a few more dollars by charging people to put air in their tires. Wawa goes above and beyond in customer service by letting people get air without a surcharge. But for me and I would hazard a guess that endears Wawa to most of us is the food that they offer, mostly their subs (what they call hoagies due to their original locations). These subs, er, hoagies are freshly made 24/7 and many, myself included, have ended an evening festivities at a Wawa grabbing an end of the night snack in the form of one of their subs, hoagies, or whatever you want to call them. They have both hot and cold sub/hoagie things, as well as other foods like breakfast sandwiches, bagels, bowls, etc. I also have always liked their pretzels, available at the cash registers. Oh, speaking of their food, keep an eye out for Hoagiefest, where they offer any sub at a discounted price. Truly a good deal. So, yes, I recommend Wawa. I would almost climb a mountain to scream its praises for the four winds to carry to the far planets of this world (perhaps even going so far as to reach my home state of New Jersey). This is the first time I've ever stepped foot in any Wawa's and believe me, I was expecting so much. I love that they have a little cafe for hot/cold sandwiches, soup, shakes and so much more. Their donuts were an assortment of color and quite beautiful if I may say so myself. But, their facility was filthy, trash on the counter, floor and the garbage was running over... Literally! One of the employee's saw me taking pictures and just kind of paused. The reason why I gave them 2-stars instead of 1 is because it was busy and I didn't try their food. They have most of the things that other gas stations have and their fountain/icee drink selection wasn't impressive at all. read more

As always this way I will be very clean, employees are very friendly, and their coffee as always was on point. We had just come back from a spring training baseball game, and he needed some coffee. Seriously...a gas station review?! Why yes, yes it is! This was my first ever experience at a WaWa and it was delightful. Being from the North, the equivalent would be Sheetz I suppose. But this, this WaWa was even more than I expected. The same tropes are here. Use a touch screen to order, pay at the counter, get order at stand when your number is called. Wait...that's basically Sheetz! But it's different and new to me so back off. At the end of the day, the Triple Decker Tuna Salad Club was incredible for the price and it was good enough for my buddy to drag me there while on Vacation! We could have went anywhere and he says, you gotta try the Tuna at WaWa! Good call my friend. But honestly, looking at their menu, it looks like they have a lot of killer options available. Pretty much the best gas station and convenience store in town. Well gas prices aren't all that much cheaper but the facility itself is just so nice. Plenty of pumps, ample space between them, large parking lot - a pretty safe space in an area that otherwise not might be. Interior is nice as well. They have the same stuff as any other gas station but it's much more spacious and well lit and clean. It doesn't feel like you're in a gas station here (isn't that the point of Wawa?). Restroom is usually clean. There's a big beer fridge too (all macro though - no craft). This is the only wawa I've seen with both front and back entrances. read more

Half the pumps are not working and you have to go inside to pay with credit. But you might get groped or robbed before you can get through the main door. While Wawa IS a gas station convenience store, it certainly doesn't follow the traditional stereotypes. There's plenty of food and drink selection, but what sets Wawa aside is their inside cooking station. Their sandwiches are always filling and I enjoy their Mac and cheese as well. Handcrafted drinks are a specialty, and I've enjoyed their mango cream smoothie in addition to coffee beverages. Granted, some food items are hit and miss, but compared to the average gas station stop - Wawa is an actually enjoyable experience. This particular Wawa isn't always the cleanest, especially around the drink stations. Even so, if i had the opportunity to visit either Marathon or Wawa, there'd be no debate: Wawa every time. I never write reviews but boy oh boy. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Wawa! I've been a loyal customer since childhood. I drink their coffee religiously and ceremoniously. They have delicious sandwiches and drinks. So the company is not the problem here, it's the location. Every other Wawa I've been to across the East coast has been consistent. This one is consistently disappointing. I'm a routine person. I do the same thing every day. I leave my house 30 mins early so that I can make a Wawa stop before I head to work. I get my blended coffee, my food and whatever else I need, and go about my merry way. When it works, it's solid. But this location NEVER has a drink maker. And I hate speaking in absolutes. But I've actually kept count, in one week they have only had the beverage station open for 2 days. How do they expect to make any money like that? I've straight up walked into the store, saw there wasn't an option for me to order a drink, and walked out. It would be one thing if it was an occasional thing but literally every couple of days they don't make beverages. When I ask why it's down they say it's because they're short staffed! That has to be the dumbest excuse I've ever heard. When my job is short staffed we hire and train more people! Why have you been short staffed for a month? Please do better. I don't see any other Wawa with this problem. I go out of my way to come enjoy your coffee only to find that you don't even serve it. Sometimes I try to call ahead so I don't waste my time but nobody ever answers the phone... and when I show up anyways it's not like they're busy or anything, they could have picked up and saved me the trip and frustration. Came in around 7:30 p.m. Enticed in by one of their subs sign they had outside. Other menu inside with a large variety of soups, sub quesadillas, breakfast items, etc. They have computer kiosk that you make your order and that shows their options at that point in time as well as the pricing. I was disappointed that out of the varieties of soups there only one was available, and of course it was chicken noodle. They advertise meatball subs but none of the meatball subs are showing as an option only two cold sub options and only two hot so the options. Love the touch screen ordering and the speciality drinks at WaWa. We also love the option for hot cookies that are so yummy! I would recommend for anyone that likes coffee to either get their hot coffee or a speciality one like a frappachino or latte. So fresh! The food is always hot and fresh.
