Stopped by this Wawa for a fountain drink. I found that the fountain drink cups were kept behind the counter at this location which I can understand, I'm guessing it's to prevent theft. What I didn't understand was the employee's attitude when I politely asked where the cups were. He acted like I should have already known they were behind the counter. If it's not the normal setup and customers can't see the cups, how else are they supposed to know without asking? The store itself was messy, better customer service would have made for a much better experience. I'd never stop at this one again. read more

Stopped by this Wawa for breakfast before a beach day at Belmar. If you've never been to a Wawa, it's basically a 24 hour convenience store serving made-to-order breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can also stop by to fill up on gasoline. If you're here to get food, you have to order on the iPad kiosk first. All items are customizable and there's a lot of options. A receipt will print out with an order number and barcode. You present the receipt at the cash registers and you pay there. After you pay, you wait by the food section until your number is called. There's a separate station just for completed drink orders so it can be a bit confusing at first. I ordered a breakfast burrito with chicken, scrambled eggs, pepper jack cheese, spinach, fresh salsa, and salt. My +1 ordered a burrito, bagel with wild berry cream cheese, and a hot chai tea. The order total was around $22, which is a great bang for your buck for breakfast. We waited for about 10 minutes until we got our food. I don't expect a 5 star meal from a convenience store, but I have to say I was pretty disappointed in my burrito. I've been to Wawa many times in the past and this was probably the worst meal. Although it was large in size, nothing tasted fresh. Everything tasted BLAND and lacked real taste. The tomatoes in the "fresh" salsa were soggy and old! Welp. read more

Gas attendant just comes up to my window and stares... no "how can I help you". When he gives credit card back he is slightly uncoordinated in handing it back to me??? After gas is done pumping, he walks away without handing me my receipt and also doesn't ask if I wanted mine. As he is walking away I opened my door to ask for my receipt and tells me to hold on while he assists another customer... but he should have gotten my receipt first to finishing the transaction appropriately. Gives me a duplicate copy while the original just dangles in the wind on the pump. Really annoying actually. Please make sure workers aren't high on drugs or anything while operating gas pumps. All this behavior is unlike any i experience at other wawas. While I can't say for sure he was high, he was wearing a black bucket hat with marujuana leaves on it. He seemed chill and that's the only thing keeping at 2 stars instead of 1 star. read more

I WAS going to move near this store (never been). That was until a friend of mine showed me something on another site that was sexual in nature and VERY inappropriate! Calling corporate was a joke, nobody there really cared (so it seemed). I asked for upper management, told the front line agent the situation, and call center supervisor REFUSED TO TAKE THE CALL!! I then asked for Human Resources and they also REFUSED TO TAKE THE CALL!!. I was transferred back to the frontline agent. Told them the situation and asked why didn't HR take the call, since eventually it will be going to their department anyway! I asked for a callback, and........ STILL WAITING! I have kids, and suggest anyone reading this think about buying from someplace else other than WAWA. Like Raymond stated in his review Quik Chek is 2 miles away. I was over at the Asbury Park beach doing some photography and wanted to get some Wawa iced tea and remembered this new location, even though I'd only seen it twice earlier. I needed to use the rest room and it was unfortunate that the toilet paper holder wasn't loaded, and in fact, seemed to be broken already. That's not typical of the company. After that, I found the iced tea where I expected it to be, and I even got a pair of pretzels at the counter on the way out. The cashier was friendly, and most everything about the store was quite good. I'm not sure how they do it, but prices at Wawa always seem to be reasonable. read more

This is the worst Wawa I've ever been in outside the inner city. The parking lot is just plain dangerous, and the outside of the store isn't much better with all the weird people milling around, asking you for things. It's always packed to the point where people are literally running into one another. Food takes forever. I feel bad for the staff, because it's obvious they're overworked, but their work environment has made them unpleasant to deal with. (Understandable, but bad service all the same.) All in all, I just feel unsafe in this place, and I'd rather drive to a further Wawa to avoid it. read more

Horrible WaWa compared to others.. order a sandwich and receive complete different than my order... placed is unorganized and poorly managed... if it weren't for the location and close to Jersey shore Hospital... no one would go. Worst Wawa location EVER. Parking lot a mess every night. People just hanging out in front with no available parking for the next customer. Homeless people stopping you coming in and going out. Security not controlling or dispersing crowds. Bring the local police back to do security, at the least they cleared the crowd and nonsense going on in front and parking areas. If you want to order a sandwich, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes on most nights. I ADVISE PEOPLE TO CHOOSE THE QUICK CHEK 2 miles west on Hwy 33. read more

This is not the WaWa I'm used too. The workers are straight hood from Asbury. The customers are straight Hood from Asbury. The parking is always packed. Everyone is rude except for a few older woman who have a lot of patience. I have literally drug deals and a something that appeared to be a gun on customers. I generally get gas here on Sundays like the rest of the people who come around only on the weekends. The people working the gas station are always reallly nice and friendly, and they've always been quick (although tbh I've always gotten like less than 10$ of gas. That's fine. The parking lot is a bit of a nightmare but that's not a big deal either. It's been clean each time I go there, and the grab and go food is always stocked. They've never skimped on my smoothies or other frozen drinks either, so that's always nice. I would suggest being careful at the entrance on Corlies, and would actually just forgo it for the other entrance (the way the wawa is facing/nearer the gas station side) since it seems to be a place that you could easily get into an accident. read more

It took awhile to get my two sandwiches (15 mins after paying). I got added veggies on mine and they were soggy i wanted to just throw them out. They missed half my sandwich with the buffalo sauce. When they called my number they forgot one of mine and I told them that and the employee just called out a different number with my sandwich and had to be corrected my her coworker. I don't think I have ever hated an establishment so much as this Wawa. I LOVE Wawa, but this one needs to be burned to the ground. It is always swarming with drunk/high teenagers and young adults. Tonight, there was a dude smoking a cigar by the food prep area. I ordered two things and paid for them, found out they didn't have one, got refunded (got cash refund even though I paid with a credit card) and then stood around and waited while a drunk customer tirelessly flirted with an employee as she made the orders of the people who got there after I did. I finally got my order, after she noticed me standing there for so long, and left, just in time to clock back into work. Walking into this place at night is like walking into the living room of a house party, but it's worse because you weren't invited and you're just dropping by for the food. read more

This is by far the worst wawa I have ever been to. They're constantly running out of things- which they don't tell you until it's already ordered and paid for. They're always shorting the customer.. i.e.: I ordered a medium soup- they gave a a 1/2 full small- and this happens frequently. As well as bowls being 1/2 empty. They often forget parts of your order. I don't think I've ever been here and not had an issue or mistake with my order. However, I will say for the most part the employees are nice. read more

I stop here occasionally to grab a quick bite. They are always fast and the crew behind the deli counter always seems to be in a good mood.

The pretzels weren't stocked so they made fresh. Hottie behind counter makes best subs.
