Hungry Man sandwich. A true masterpiece of meat.
    Matt G.

Ok. Jersey Farms. If you're a local, you probably already know about this place, since I'm fairly certain it's always been here, and they merely built the township around it. Kidding aside, Jersey Farms is a local institution. It's 50% bodega / convenience store, 50% deli, and 100% awesome. If you ever wished that 7-11 sold actual food instead of the frozen and reheated stuff, or if you wished it looked a little more like a 1980's convenience store, they have you covered, here. The aisles are stocked with all sorts of typical home goods and foods, and there's been a few occasions I've run here for a quick quart of milk, or dozen of eggs. The real star of the show though, is their deli. Notably, their pork roll, egg, and cheese. Not gonna lie, this place probably has the best PEC in the area. If you're feeling extra hungry, the "Hungry Man" is a monster of a breakfast sandwich, which is a veritable Noah's Ark of various meats. A true work of art with all its artery-clogging goodness, and one that will make you thankful the hospital is only down the street. The rest of the deli options are pretty great as well, and I've yet to be disappointed in anything I've ordered from here, though their coffee is pretty weak / watery, imo. All in all, a great little convenience store with a fantastic deli in it. Very much worth a trip if you're in the area, especially in the morning!

Ordered a cheesesteak, as a co-worker recommended them. It was mostly ok, if a little bland.

Everything from the Reuben to the pork roll sandwich is fantastic. The same cooks for 30 years!

An old school deli- sandwich counter, aisles of snacks, lottery. Always excellent pork roll egg and cheese sandwiches.

I'm honestly not sure what was more impressive to me; the soups or the sandwiches. I guess I'll start with their namesake, the soup. First time I came here I tried the French onion, since what better 'simple' soup to judge a soup place by, right? Excellent, right out of the gate - utterly bursting with caramelized onion flavor, and just a hint of brandy, I believe? I later came back and tried the Thai coconut and "thanksgiving dinner" soups, with each one seriously cramming a ton of flavor into each bite. Never thought I'd be blown away by soup, of all things, but here we are. The sandwiches are just as good as the soups were, and are priced really fairly for the quality and portion you get. Most of their sandwiches are made on their homemade "pesto bread", which may be the moistest, softest bread I've had in years. If you can't decide, they seem to run specials frequently, where you can get a sandwich & cup of soup. The only 'negative' I can think of is that since sandwiches are made to order, it can take ~10-15 mins to get sandwiches and the like, but this isn't a McDonalds, so I feel like that's expected. Besides, your patience is greatly rewarded. Skip the chain food; there's some really inspired, friendly folks here cranking out some of the best stuff in town. Well worth a visit, imo!
