This was a solid WaWa location with plenty of options for snacks, beverages, and any additional needs you may have from a convenience store. It was clean and there was plenty of parking around. Their gas prices are comparable to those in the area. I will say that they have more than the usual gas station as far as selection is concerned. They had a walk in beer cooler area. They had fresh grab and go selections. You can order hot food at the self-service kiosks that's made only after you order it. And they also have plenty of other convenient bagged items as well. The entire store was clean save for one area by the ice cooler that had a large pool of water but they did have several warning signs up and it looked like they were trying to take care of it. Ughhhhh. This was my first Wawa visit ever and I wish I could have gone better. I'm hoping that perhaps it was just THIS particular location since it seemed to be in a bit-so-great area. My family was in the mood for slushies and we stopped in. Unfortunately, they didn't have slushies only icees. First, they did not have the icee dome lids. I opened the bottom cabinet where extra supplies are usually kept only to find a gross area that hasn't been cleaned in YEARS. Ick. Then I went to go fill their cups but realized that 3 of the 4 flavors had the "do not use" light lit up. Ughhhhhh. What a let down. Great location, great prices and friendly customer service. What much can I say it's a great gas station for a quick pick me up. Busiest times is definitely the morning and lunch hour. During the evening it gets pretty less chaotic I would avoid night time because of suspicious behavior. The good thing there's always cops around this area to avoid any craziness. My best friend Chris is from Orlando and always tell me about this place, and he finally took me. I never ever had gas station food that was good, but!!! This place has the best sandwiches i have had in a long time, like better than subway and Jimmy Johns! I really like how you can customize your own sandwich and it's very easy you can do it on the monitors in the store and they make it really fast. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. I am so happy to have tried this place. I wondered what all the hype was about until I finally went & saw for myself. Sure, it may just be a gas station & convenience store but the food quality is impressive! It can be confusing and overwhelming at first, since the crowds are still coming out strong! So here's how it works: When you enter the store, you go to the left of the big kitchen in front of you and find a touch screen to place your order. You can choose hot or cold subs or hoagies and customize them exactly how you want. You can also choose soups, sides or smoothies/frappes. Once you complete your order, the machine spits out a receipt which you can take to the registers on the front left to pay for while you wait for your food to be prepared. Make sure you remember to grab your fountain drinks or other snacks before you pay or you'll have to do multiple transactions. And be ready to wait since it gets busy in there! While you wait, you can browse the pastry display (donuts are delicious!!) or grab a coffee that is free for the first couple weeks. Sometimes they even hand out smoothie samples. I've tasted the mango, which is quite good! I'm waiting for a taste of mango banana before I invest in it myself :) Anyhow, the Shorti hoagies/sandwiches (6-inch subs) are $1.99 for now & the 10-inch hoagies are about $5.50. The Shortis are going to go up to around $3 or so in the coming weeks, tho. So now is the time to figure out what you like best! The food is super fresh, the buns are baked daily in store & everything my family & I have tasted has been fantastic! I'm not one to write reviews about chain restaurants and gas stations but today I experienced something amazing....quality control. I used a coupon for a free 16 oz. specialty iced coffee. When my number was called, one of the employees looked at my drink and sent it back to be re-made. I knew something looked a bit off; under-filled and the milk and coffee weren't mixed entirely. I thanked the lady that sent it back and she admitted that she herself wouldn't drink it by the way it looked. When it was redone, I was more than satisfied. I have also gotten the 10" cheese steaks on a couple of other occasions and have never been disappointed. The option of grilled onions makes it so good! Sorry, Subway... Spoke with a Tabby a few days ago, she guaranteed a free burger since mine wasnt Made to order. I go in 3 days later to speak with a Pedro (manager on duty) who repeatedly told me he wouldn't eat the food they serve and also refused to remake the free burger I was promised. He asked me to show him the call log proof of the call I placed a few days ago and after searching my call long for 10 minutes, he told me to come back when Tabby is there. i work in the food industry and have never treated a customer like this. Why would I be standing trying to convince someone I'm owed a free burger or even need to? Been wanting to try out WAWA for weeks, since yelpers seem to love this place. But on my way here I drove by the Bronx pizza place on Hoffner and saw the sign for two pizzas and a drink for $3.99 (great pizza by the way). My mission for a WAWA Hoggie got aborted this run. But decided since I needed gas to stop by. Gas wasn't any cheaper here then the other places I drove by. So that was disappointing. Ok i guess it may have been 2 cents cheaper. Noticed they don't charge for air, which is a nice way to say thank you, kudos for that. I just had to go inside to see the sandwich layout. To my surprise it wasn't a machine making the sub like many people seem to say on here. All I saw was a touch screen that you order your food on, then I guess that order gets routed to the people working behind the counter and they make the sub. I really thought it was going to like the George Jetsons and a sub shoots out of a bin Volia!!! Pricing was like $4.59 for 1/2 sub and like $5.99 for full. They had an insane amount of subs to choose from, which was pretty cool. Would take me 10 minutes alone to decide what I wanted. The lines were about 6 people deep on both sides at like 4:30 pm. Not sure what all the hype is about. I had an italian sub. The meat seemed fresh, the bread was good... but all in all... it was just a sub. Would I go back? Yeah of course... it was a good sub and better than Subway for sure... but I just find it hard to excited about this. The girlfriend had a coffee and it was good too... but it was just coffee. I love their subs here, especially the cuban and the special sub they have during thanksgiving. Very affordable. Their shakes are really good, as well as their coffe (which is super cheap). They also have sample coffee cups if you want to get a small hit pf caffine while you wait for your food to be finished. If you are a baked goods person, they have donuts, muffins, and other goodies galore for you to partake in. Something in that case always draws my eye.
