I was a wawa virgin. But no more. Cheap cheerful and clean are the way to describe this gas station sandwich shop. Hard to get excited over a sandwich that you can make yourself, but it definitely is a great alternative to the multitude of fast food places that I haven't been to in years. Coffee station (my go-to spot) is always clean, tidy and several flavors of creamer are kept chilled on ice. The staff are polite and they keep the cashier line quickly moving. Wawa earns a five-star review because out of all the gas stations I've been to, this one has fulfilled all needs - prices, food, comfort, design, and customer service. Before they came to Florida I've never heard of a Wawa before, but I'm so glad they're here. Gas prices compete with the lowest prices of other gas stations, and the convenience to and from the bridge makes it the ideal gas stop. As any convenience store, other product prices are a on the expensive side, and they don't sell lotto yet. However, the food menu is definitely worth a try. Breakfast bowls are delicious, as are their quesadillas. They have touch screen ordering system that gets rid of lines, and on the menu is a variety of food options to choose from. When your order is ready, they'll call you up on intercom. It's great. The staff is generally friendly. I haven't had problems with them just yet. read more

WaWa gets 5 stars for a gas station ! Is there such thing as an upscale gas station? Because that is what WaWa reminds me of. The inside is nice and clean and well lit and I recently learned that they have no charge for using the ATM. Plus they have a lot of healthy food selections instead of that nasty gas station food like the suspect hot dogs that have been rolling around all day. They have fresh subs, a sit down area, good coffee, fruit, yogurt, soups and a good chicken Cesar salad. Its the only gas station that I will actually get food from. NOW lets talk about what really matters which is the gas...the gas is always the cheapest in town from what I've seen. I really don't have to go out of my way to drive to Sams Club anymore because the prices are about the same. I love WaWa! read more

I had not been to a Wawa in about 4 years, as I haven't been to the Mid-Atlantic states in about 4 years. All that changed in Tampa, of all places. I was excited to get to Wawa on a recent visit to Florida. The sandwiches at Wawa are great, and it's really easy to order them on the touch screens. I think the sandwiches at this location were just as good as my favorite Delaware and Maryland locations. Oh, and you can get Herr's chips here too. I recommend the ketchup chips. I got a strange look and was asked, "How do you think those are going to taste?" Little did she know. And to wash it all down, is there really anything better than a Wawa lemonade iced tea? Blown away by the deli! I love that I can create my sandwich order on a touch screen. They've got lots of veggies to choose from. I loaded that stuff on! You can choose your dressings and whether you want just a little, a lot, or standard amount. The 6 inch was under $5 which is a steal of a deal! While human interaction has been completely removed from the process, the benefit is efficiency. I haven't had a good sub in awhile and their Italian totally hit the spot. I wish I got a larger one. 4 stars because the beer selection could have been better. It is nice they have a walk in cooler and a decent variety considering the space. Even some ciders. I finally got to this new to FL location and yeah It's way bigger than the one's in Jersey. I got a large Chicken "Sub" and seriously it was way too big and when I was eating it I was wishing I ordered the Half. Anyway I'll be back to a Wawa soon to try something else. I also like the fact that they have a large selection of the Tasty Cake brand and the Coffee was awesome as well. read more

I stopped in to check out the sub line. It is all ordered through a touch pad kiosk and your number is called to pick it up. This place was clean inside, had at least 6 employees working (2 at the registers and 4 on the sub line). The sub took about 5 minutes to complete after ordering and was better than subway. If I need a quick sandwich and see a WaWa I'd go again. read more

Can't remember where I heard of this place but when I saw it I had to stop and not only get gas there but look inside and see what the fuss was about. IT was a mix between a gas station convenience store and a grocery store and a restaurant and .... WaWa is wowser. It is kind of split into sections so I was a bit confused as to where to pay or if it was several stores in one but it really had most things you could think of and was sooo convenient. And it seems like they take extra care in making it real nice. Glad I got to experience it. read more

Great buffalo chicken sub and quick service. The store was clean and was one of the nicer wawas that I've seen.

Came here on the day after they opened and it was SUPER crowded, yet I did not have to wait for more than a minute when paying and when picking up my sandwich! Built for efficiency with fresh, delicious hoagies. Plenty of touchscreens where you can order food from... Wawa is brilliant and makes all of their stores super efficient. Basically what happens is you walk in, place your custom-made order into their touch screens. Then, it prints a receipt out for you, which you take to the register and pay. Then you pick your order up at the food station once you've paid... this really cuts down on the waiting time because rather than waiting for your food to get made and then waiting to pay, you usually only have to wait to pay (which, at Wawa, is usuallly a minimal wait), and then by the time you're done paying, your food will be ready! It's so smart and efficient! I don't know why not everyplace does it like this. Still had free coffee too when I went, and they were giving out free samples of the sweet cream cheese soft pretzels which I have never had but were AMAZING! 5 stars because the gas prices are always lower than others in the area, the food is always delicious and fresh, and the gas station itself is clean. It's nice to go to a gas station and use a clean restroom. No need to hesitate before eating the food here either. Wawa is one of the few gas station companies I'll eat at and the food isn't even expensive! They nearly always have deals on gatorades, sodas, and water here. I've been going to wawa since I was a kid growing up in VA and was so excited that this chain has moved down to Florida for us to enjoy! This place is always busy but for good reasoning. Always have the lowest gas prices, they have amazing coffee- the hazelnut is my fav, and pretty good food for it being a gas station. I love the little quick on the go packs of food taunting you in the face when you are standing in line to pay. I always end up getting the spicy chicken nuggets. Those things are the bomb! They also have a pretty decent beer cooler in the back with a selection of both domestic beer, craft beers, and wine coolers. Love Wawa! read more

Wawa isn't only a gas station, but also a sandwich factory. The whole order process is quite automated. You place your order on touchscreens and a ticket spits out and you either shop for snacks while you wait or just pay up front. They call your number and you pick it up. I ordered an Italian shortie and chocolate banana smoothie. The smoothie was a little watery, not as thick as I'd like. The sandwich had all the toppings I inputted into the computer and was delicious. I also had a sample of a mango smoothie which I liked better than the one I ordered. read more

I am not one of the Wawa fanatics. I have been hearing about the magic and wonders of Wawa for weeks, and I just don't get what all the fuss is about. Yes, the gas is cheaper than other gas stations, and it is new and nice and bright inside. The automated order machines are great but I wish I could pay at them too instead of having to go to a cashier. Other than that, it has coffee, smoothies, beer, and everything else you would find at a gas station. They do not have lotto though. The Chicken Corn Chowder soup tasted watered down, and all of the corn tasted like it came straight from a can. The sandwiches are ok but nothing special. I wouldn't mind Wawa if I was on a roadtrip and had not other options for food. But as a local, I would not go out of my way to eat at Wawa. read more

When people told me a WaWa was coming to my area, they were usually excited. I knew it was a gas station, but was surprised by the level of enthusiasm. Having visited it on a few occasions, it is definitely a step above the average gas station and convenience store. I like the free air and water - I don't mind paying, but rarely do I have coins laying around. The big feature I suppose is the touch screen ordering system. Wanted to update because I finally got to try their sandwiches. If you like a large open faced sandwich --- this is the place for you! I personally like my sandwich to close together so I can fit it in my mouth! I ordered a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with honey mustard and the flavor was good, just hard to eat. I like that you order on a computer screen, so I could see all my options and not feel rushed. Very cool idea. My sandwich came up quickly and was priced at a good value. Super cheap prices from gas to groceries for the house. Their prepared foods are very fresh and perfect for anyone "on the go". The best part of this franchise is ordering your food fresh no matter what time of the day or night it is. They offer everything from breakfast options to quesadillas. Worst wawas ever. Everytime I go there they make me late I order the oatmeal and they let me wait there for 15 minutes just to tell me they are out of oatmeal. Same crop Everytime I go there for one reason or another they sell me someth8ng make me wait for it then don't have it. I love Wawa. Their coffee is awesome and their gas prices are the best I see. BUT, I REALLY DO NOT like when I go to this location and I hear the gunshots from across the way in the trailer park. There's some kind of skeet shooting place. I feel as if I'm being shot at and in this day and age, you never know. So, I don't even sit outside anymore and eat. I can't believe the owners of Wawa didn't look into that before they went in there. Or at least took care of it by limiting or shutting the place down before plopping the money for that place in that location. It's really loud. read more
