Well I guess $5.059 is a bargain for 93 Octane these days, my Jeep doesn't sputter and the supercharge purrs when I mash the peddle when I use the good stuff - I chose Wawa for no other reason than it's a brand that I've come to recognize especially since I was in an unfamiliar area, although I had too make a pair of u-turns to get here thanks to the low-profile signage hidden behind some shrubbery (must be some kind of city ordinance, because it makes no business sense). It looks like this location is pretty popular being the fuel islands were filled with holiday travelers and the Mobil and Shell stations I passed getting here were pretty much vacant of customers - I didn't noticed the fuel prices at either maybe they were a few cents more expensive or something else just as ridiculous. I can't speak for the customer service here or the condition of the property's interior being I paid at the pump and was on my way in a matter of minutes - the pumps were in good condition and the flow rate of the fuel through the nozzle was good and I was offered a receipt at the pump after fueling. So this was my first time at a Wawa. Huns from the east coast so he told me I had to try their sub sandwiches. We don't have these in the PNW and I wish they did. Truthfully, I do not like sandwiches and do not eat them if I had a choice, unless it's a Vietnamese Banh mi. We went in and you can customize your sandwich on the kiosk and they make it for you. Grabbed our Agua fresca that he is obsessed with, paid and waited for our order. We shared the sandwich because I never finish and it was surprisingly good and such a cheap meal. Just thinking about it, I'm craving a Wawa sandwich. Overall, it's clean here, there's seating outside and super convenient. Better than hitting up a fast food joint. My family and I visited my dad recently and apparently he loves grabbing lunch at Wawa after hitting the gym. My girls wanted to try it so we went. I wasn't expecting much, but the salad I ordered was surprisingly fresh. My husband enjoyed his burrito and my girls also like their Mac and cheese. Fresh Wawa is a relatively new gas station/convenience store business in the area, and are known for very competitive gas prices, free ATMs, and food. I stopped in today at lunch to enjoy and review one of their sandwiches. Sandwiches are made to order, using fresh breads and ingredients. This was my first visit to this recently opened station, but I already knew the process. I have spent time in Eastern PA where Wawa is the dominate station/store and have eaten my weight in their sandwiches, back when I weighed less. You start by using one of their kiosks. I selected sandwiches, cold, and Italian. That specifies the meat(s) you want, then you select the toppings. So many options...so, so many. Once you have finally described your perfect sandwich, you press submit. A piece of paper is printed, which you take to a regular cashier in the store and pay. You get to keep the piece of paper, it has a number. You go back to where they make the sandwiches, and once they call your number you go up and get your food. For me the wait was only a minute or two after I finished paying. As for service, the cashier seemed nice, the sandwich maker was heading back to make more food by the time I reached the sandwich she sat on the counter for me. I didn't see any seats inside, but they do have a few tables outside, which is where I headed. The sandwich was very good. If it wasn't, I would only have myself to blame, as it was exactly as I ordered it. While I'm more a person who likes to order at the macro level and have the food constructors assemble it as they see fit, taking a micro approach was ok. It's WAWA what more can I say? Growing up with WAWA in South Jersey back when they hand sliced the deli meats for each sandwich was the best..... And now they are here in Florida it is like having an old friend living near by. We lived on the East Coast of Florida for a few years before they built a WAWA nearby. Woohoo all of us we're so excited. Now we're on the West Coast and the closest one is in Venice. If you're looking for a good HOAGIE (not a sub) the Classic Italian is the go to. Kayleigh was amazing. I was visiting Sarasota and I stopped there to fill up my rental car on the way to the airport. Hertz charged me for gas even though the tank was full. To get a refund from Hertz I had to show the gas receipt, which I did not keep. Kayleigh helped locate the receipt from 2 days prior which allowed me to get a refund for the overcharge. Spotless new location with friendly attendants. Plenty of gas pumps plus Two Free Air for tires! Add the outside picnic seating to enjoy sandwiches, coffee or some ice cream. Love the made to order custom sandwiches with so many options. Plus the individual frozen ice cream treats we all loved as a kid.
