Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I am totally not seeing the appeal. The produce was not that thrilling or even cheap (for what it was). Their sign reads, "Try our Cuban Sandwich!" I will thanks. And... I did. It was wet and tasted a little gamey--- all this coming from a person that lives off of pork fat. Oh, and it was almost $9.00 and almost a 20 minute wait. Most of the wait being in the register line with the slowest clerk ever. No thanks, Vince. You seem busy... Maybe even too busy for me.

I think the word is out about Vince's market. Basically, if you are buying produce at the Red Barn you should come check out Vince. Similar items, but inside and air conditioned without the crazy parking lot hell that is RB. Basically the produce is super ripe but the type the chain stores won't touch because it isn't "perfect" to look at. But know what? Things like this usually taste better. The tomatoes I get at Vince's are way better than what you often find at Publix. I'm also sick of giving chain stores $1 for one lemon, where here I can get 3 or 4 for the same price. Maybe it is a little smaller, and maybe it isn't perfect looking but man who cares when it is 1/3 off? It juices just fine and serves my needs. One thing I suggest, come here with no real plans of what you "need". Buy what looks good and make something interesting out of it. Be sure to get some tortillas to take home as well. This is not a full service place, just produce and the deli counter with some sandwiches and pizza. A few assorted spices as well. But I'm saving a lot, and supporting the little guy who is taking a chance opening up a place that has seen way too many business come and go. Plus Vince and his son are nice guys!

The outside is in a great location next to Capt Curt's and the Daquiri Deck, it's unassuming, but always well kept inside. Located within walking distance of our condo, we go several times when we are visiting each year, as my kids love hunting for the ducks and I love checking out all of the specialty food and drinks they sell. The market itself has a small selection of everyday essentials sprinkled with specialty items that you don't often see in other places. Being in a beach vacation town, one of the things they have most of are drinks - a walk-in cooler with all of the beers and canned drinks you can imagine, several aisles of great wines, and even some specialty THC drinks. Tucked in the back is a little bakery and deli with Boars Head meats and locally made pies - both are a must! We tried the chopped Italian sandwich and we always have to get the banana caramel pie and tropical fruit key lime pie. The banana especially is by far one of the best pies you'll ever eat, don't miss it! Because we love this place, I'm giving it 5 stars, but this last year we did have one of the rudest customer service experiences yet. Everyone is typically very friendly and helpful, but the older lady working the front register was judgement and made us very uncomfortable. My 14 year old son had helped his sisters (4, 2, and 1) find their ducks and she didn't want to let any of them participate because he was the one who showed them to her (because they are stop small to reach over the belt). We had bought several items and this was one of the many trips we had made there that week. I'm only writing this in hopes that the owner sees it because when I asked why she was being so mean, she said because the owners were strict. I'd hope that they would actually encourage a teenager to help his younger siblings instead of punishing them all.
