I love this Wawa but something has changed. The food used to be wonderful and cheap. It's still cheap but not so great anymore. We always order breakfast here. Usually grabbing Sizzli sandwiches. This trip they didn't have my pork roll on a bagel so I ordered from the kiosk. A egg, bacon, cheese with hot honey on a bagel. The bagel was soft. That's the end of the positives. The american cheese was blackened and the egg too in some spots. Hot honey barely there. This sandwich had the potential to be life changing. The self serve iced coffee always out. OK, so, it must be said that I recommend pretty much every and all Wawas. As a company, as a whole, I have been a lover of Wawa, since I was 10 years old. They started off as dinky little convenience, stores that soon turned into a staple of life. From their 24 hour availability, convenience, gas availability, Sandwiches, and coffee... You cannot go wrong at Wawa This location was something new and something different for me. Still highly recommend, by different I mean the design and the atmosphere. This was a Wawa in a shore town. Wildwood, New Jersey. It was so incredibly busy and so packed that it was difficult to maneuver through the store. It's very much part of the day that I went, and I am aware of that, so this is not their problem at all. Everything was perfect. The food, coffee, customer service, all of it maintained the level of perfection I come to expect from a Wawa. Every trip east, I make must include a Wawa. Let me start by saying that the power was out when we stopped in desperate need of gas. I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence or not but it certainly worked to our advantage. After calling and explaining that we only had 5 miles of range left in our car, the attendant told us that we could park our car there until their power come back on and we were allowed to park and walk to the boardwalk for 4 hours! Special shout out to Justin, the attendant. He was courteous and understanding and assured us that our car would be fine until we could come back and get some gas. I also love the retro motif of this Wawa location. As someone who loves Wawa through and through, this was a special treat! I am not sure whether this is specific to Wildwood or whether or not there are more locations like this but there definitely should be! read more

Stopping at this Wawa is a staple in our Wildwood Crest vacation routine. We always stop as soon as we get off the Parkway to fill up with gas and grab a soft pretzel for a quick snack. Then almost every morning of our vacation we'll stop here to pick up sandwiches and snacks for the day. Sometimes we'll wait close to 25 minutes for our order but we don't even mind bc it's just so consistently good. The quality of Wawa's deli meats and breads are above the rest when it comes to convenience store deli counters. Their coffee bar and ordering menu is customized coffee drink heaven and their branded beverages in the cooler are a must for an add on every time. What can I say, its a Wawa... But this isn't your typical Wawa. It has a vintage old school beach vibe to it! It doesn't have the typical vibe of a Wawa. My wife and I passed through here 2x in 1 day. The first time, I got gas, and the second time I needed a coffee! Getting gas was a zoo! For some reason everyone (and their mother) was getting gas at the same time that we were. But we were able to find an open bay. Got gas, 123, and we were on our way! On our way home, I needed coffee. So we stopped in on the way home. Even during covid, they have a great system. Social distancing markers all over... For the most part, most people stuck to them, or close enough to them. I got my coffee, they had pumpkin spice yum! As I was waiting in the snake of the line, I saw some other items that my wife likes like entenmnas cookies and their amazing cheddar cheese pretzels!!!! Wawa really knows how to position products lol!!!! They have hand sanitizer stations all over, and encourage online ordering. Everything was well stocked! Whenever I'm in New Jersey, Wawa is a go-to for just about anything. Gas? Wawa. Quick bite to eat? Wawa. Coffee? Wawa. It doesn't disappoint, either. Most of Wawa is pretty much self-service, if you want a sandwich or a quesadilla, there's a deli kiosk where you order wherever you want, with full customization, and then it'll print out a ticket. While your sandwich is being made, you take the ticket to the cashier and pay, then come back and pick up your sandwich when they call your number. All in all, their sandwiches are delicious and unlimited in the amount of options. A cheesesteak without cheese but with tomatoes? You got it. Their iced coffee comes out of a pre-made container in a machine so it's not that customizable, but it's delicious, and they have a few different options (like regular and mocha) We had breakfast sandwiches on sourdough bread- honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in the area. read more

This super wawa is right on the main strip into town, and a couple blocks from where I typically stay in the Crest. Needless to say I've been here a few dozen times over the years. Typically I'll stop here for gas on my way off the island and for food to take to the beach if I'm in a pinch. This place gets 4 stars, not for the food given I'm not a huge fan in general these days, but for the speed of the service. Given it's prime location - this wawa gets absolutely packed, especially in the summer months. But the staff keep the lines moving both inside and out at the pumps. The guy on there on my last visit had to have pumped out 300 sandwiches minimum if he worked a full 8 hour shift. Gotta respect that. read more

I am never want to leave a review and this might actually be the first one I've ever written, Unfortunately, going into my local Wawa at night has gone a quick and pleasant experience to a awkward and uncomfortable one. This unfortunately is due to a certain employee behind the sandwich counter, who is always speaking in unnecessarily high and tone whether it's their coworkers or customers. They don't seem to handle customer issues considering I've watched them argue with customers and give them attitude. I've also witnessed on numerous occasions them having a personal conversation about themselves or about a coworker and their personal problems at a high volume in front of customers. I find this to be unprofessional and honestly uncomfortable and obvious and I'm not the only one that feels this way. And as a longtime manager, both in food and beverage and retail, I am all for positive interactions and communication between employees and customers, however, I find it unprofessional and unnecessary to be called "Sweetie" or Hun" when waiting for my number to be called to pick up my sandwich. I honestly think the situation should be addressed, but in the meantime, I'm going to take a break from Wawa for a while and maybe the next time I'm in there, it'll be efficient and pleasant like it used to be. At least my sandwich was delicious as always, I just feel bad for the kid that made it because he's the one that is stuck behind the counter working with that person all shift. read more

This Wawa was so clutch for me and my friends in the summer of 2018. I'm Talkin' Jordan in game 6 clutch. 6 for $3 donuts pretty much all summer I probably ate over 100 in just 3 months. Also 42oz cups of woodski every time we went in was clutch so we didn't die from dehydration cause all we drank besides for that was Burnett's and natty light ever day. This place did more for us that year then it'll ever know. I like this particular Wawa because it's pretty. I hope they never change the facade, ever. It's also a good stop for beach food when you're driving into Wildwood. I don't gas up here since the prices tend to be higher from what I've noticed. Expect a packed parking lot during the summer season. It's also a popular bathroom-break spot pre-beach/post-drive so the line for the two stalls can stretch to the ATMs. As for food: it's stocked with your regular Wawa-items. read more

I went to a few different Wawa locations over the weekend in south New Jersey, and this one was largest, and my personal favorite. Located just a short drive from the Wildwoods Beach and Boardwalk, it is the perfect stop for sandwiches, snacks, and gas on the way to the beach. The gorgeous retro mid century neon sign out front makes it even cooler. The sandwich makers and cashiers were very friendly and helpful. Believe the hype-the hoagies here are incredible. Using a touch screen, you create your customized sandwich with many choices of fresh bread and a huge variety of toppings. For vegans, they have both hot and cold veggie options. I tried both, and was equally impressed. I recommend choosing the option to toast the bread, and selecting the spicy mustard as a sauce. One of the most delicious sandwiches I have ever eaten, and I believe my total was $4. They also have a small selection of pre-made vegan wraps, salads, and snacks. I really like WaWa. There used to be a small one in East Rutherford ( up North) but, unfortunately, it closed. The Wildwood WaWa is usually pretty chaotic. People going in and out constantly, plus the gas prices outside are on par with other stations. They have a great selection of prepared food and snacks...such as wraps or fruit cups. They make a decent sandwich and have a large selection of coffee to choose from. This WaWa easily beats out any 7-11 or Quik-Chek or Tiger Mart I have been to. Wawa is a nice store, if one can really get particularly excited about a convenience store and gas station in general, but this particular WAWA is not just that it is a great example of what is called Doo Wop architectural style, something Wildwood is somewhat famous for.. a sort of Jetson's type 1950s or 1960s look. definitely the most visually interesting gas station and convenience store I have ever been too!! This is our nightly stop to get hoagies before heading back to the motel. They've got a pretty large selection of hoagies, wraps, soups and other side dishes at their deli counter as well everything you'd expect at a convenience store. This is a super busy Wawa store in peak summer season because many travelers coming and going to the island stop here & it's on a central road. However it's great - easy access, clean, nice staff, quick service, good "quick" food options. I like that you can order from the touch screen (including coffee) and it's ready fast. My end of summer treat was a cranberry bagel with pumpkin cream cheese and pumpkin iced chai - yummy and nice way to end a trip to the beach ;) Oh and I love that's it'd decorated in doo-wop style! read more
