Small shop but it runs efficiently. We stopped in here about 11 am, right after they opened on a Sunday morning and they already had phone orders and sit ins! That's how we knew it was going to be good! I ordered the Italian 9" hoagie with everything on it. It was delicious and the right amount of food for one person. This is a great place. Coming from Maryland you don't always get great subs (or is that hoagies?) They have a great selection of quick and delicious food. The absolute BEST hoagies in the entire county. Vegetables are fresh & flavorful. House specialty pepper dressing is to die for. Meat to topping ratio is absolutely perfect. Was looking for a good Italian sub and found Lee's. It's a small walk in take out street front shop. My Italian was very good. The service was efficient and quick since this place is doing a lot of business. Stick with the medium size since it's about 12", the large is definitely a two man sandwich. read more

I grew up and spent many years in NJ, at the Jersey Shore. I have since moved and traveled all over the USA and have tried many versions of submarine sandwiches and hoagies. Lee's Hoagie House was the best surprise on my recent visit back to the Jersey Shore. This is, without a doubt, the BEST hoagie I have ever had in my 68 years. I hope and pray that these owners decide to franchise where I live now in Maui. While I know this is highly unlikely, I strongly recommend their Italian hoagie (extra meat) for the best hoagie you've ever had. I can't wait until my next visit to the Jersey Shore to get to visit Lee's again. read more

This is the best hoagie shop in Stone Harbor, and I grew up working in a hoagie shop here. But I didn't know they were a chain until we actually went there. Typically we have ordered from another place, but wanted something truly local like you expect in Philadelphia and down the at shore, and this place delivers. The deli meats are fresh and seasoned right, the oil and vinegar blend is perfect, the cheesesteaks are delcious, and the bread rolls are soft and fresh. Also the staff are friendly, and also local. But call your order in early because you will wait up to a half hour. And, of course, parking is non-existent on summer weekends. read more

Grabbed lunch to go from here yesterday and today. Both days ended up grabbing grilled cheese for the kids which they loved. I had a cheesesteak wiz wit yesterday and with hot peppers. Was really good as was the roll. Today had the "super sized italian" was basically the italian with all of he meats and extra cheese and meat. Was really good. Staff in there is amazing and they were working hard and positive the whole time. Great food and customer service. Would recommend calling your order in to save some time. read more

Very good subs. We ordered 10 subs for lunch on the beach and the order was complicated. They hit a home run. Well done, Lee's. Bread was a little soft overall but the meat made up for it. The best. But I AM biased. I grew up eating Lee's Hoagies outside of Philadelphia, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this outpost in Cape May, run by the founder's grand-daughter. Please understand what you're getting into here: This is a real Philadelphia hoagie -- not a grinder, not a sub, not a hero... submit, and do not argue! I'm sure the friendly staff would be happy to add mayonnaise to your sandwich if you ask, but for God sakes man! Don't do it! The place is very clean, but it's all about the food. There is a very small counter where you can dine in, but you may prefer to take out. My only regret is that after all these year's Frank's Black Cherry Wishniak soda is no longer available (at Lee's or most anywhere else...) If I lived within 20 miles of this place I'd go every day. read more

Super Nice folks with the best ingredients take the time to ask you the right questions to make sure the hoagie contains exactly what you want - even if you forget yourself mayo? onions? And then they put it together with thought and precision - The full size hoagie will not fit in the fridge. They do nice things like wrap it separately if it's obvious that you're splitting it with someone. They deliver to the beach. (I've never actually had that, but it sounds great) Don't ask me about the non-hoagie things, I don't get that there. Although given the clean kitchen and quality work ethic, it's probably pretty good, subject to carry-out. Some things just don't carry out. Thank goodness hoagies are not one of those things. If you do get the beach delivery, eat it under an umbrella. The seagulls know what to look for and will swoop down and snatch them right out of your hand. The people that run the place are friendly and I like that they offer delivery by bicycle to some parts of the island (including the beach!) for only $1. Whenever I'm in the mood for a sandwich and not in the mood to make it myself, I will be calling up Lee's.
