My Wife had the experience of trying out the turkey bowls at the Deli take out last night. I must say we were pleasantly pleased with our meal. I was a little skeptical, ar first, but as I said was it quite delicious. We will try others. Boy, does this Wawa get busy late at night! My husband and I stopped here for drinks and gas while driving home to the beach from a day in Richmond. We stopped in at around 11pm on a Sunday and there were probably 45 people inside waiting around for sandwiches and food to go. Plenty of drinks and snacks inside as well as a lot of coffee options. It's large and bathrooms were clean. Loads of parking and a bunch of gas pumps. It served the purpose well. read more

I used the Wawa app and ordered some dinner because I was hungry and everything else had closed (apart from the usual culprits like Taco Bell and McDonalds...) SUPER easy and a little healthier too. I ordered, chose a pick up time, and just had to remember once I arrived to check in and mark what spot I had parked up at. As I was filling my car up with gas I "checked in" and selected the pump number I was at and within a minute one of the awesome members of staff came out and asked me how my night was going and gave me my food. I think I'll be doing this more often; I can't help but love Wawa coffee and their food menu never seems to disappoint. This isn't a terrible WAWA but it doesn't have gas!! I wanted to fill up and grab a sandwich and my GPS routed me to the nearest WAWA and it is only a convenience store, not a gas station. Be aware that there are also not restrooms and it's smaller than a regular store. I suppose it's good for the students that live nearby but I was expecting a standard location. read more

They're great. . . . At being inconsistent! A few days ago I ordered hoagies for a picnic lunch that was 40 minutes away. 40 minutes later, I found out they completely messed up my 3 year old's order. All he wanted was ham and cheese. Nothing else. Turns out he had received a sandwich with ham, cheese, lettuce, and mayonnaise on it! Mobile order said nothing but ham and cheese, paper ticket said the same. How could they make such a big mistake?! This wasn't the first time, before that they made a BLT for my 5 year old with nothing but lettuce on it! Then I ordered a turkey and spinach club sandwich with half the items on it. When I called they said for me to bring it back and they'll are me a fresh one with everything on it. Then tonight I ordered a side of cheese dipping sauce. How much am I supposed to get? 24 hours ago they filled the cup. Tonight they only gave me enough to barely cover the bottom of the cup. The employees there need to practice quality and pay attention to order details. Yeah, yeah so I'm writing a review for Wawa. I just really feel like good hospitality should be called out. I go here at least 3 times a week for coffee on my way to work and once or twice a month for a sub. Management is doing something right here- the staff are efficient, friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. I'm generally welcomed upon entering the store, the place is kept extremely clean and there are several different coffee flavors. I'm a sucker for Pumpkin Spice, and they have the best tasting Pumpkin Spice flavored coffee I've had. Coffee aside, some of their food items are a bit on the pricey side. It would also be nice if they had a rewards program like Sheetz to reward frequent customers like myself. I love their chicken cheesesteaks. This will continue to be a regular stop for me. Normally, I'd give the Wawa at 842 Merrimac Trail, Williamsburg, VA 5 stars but after today...nope. My husband went in to pick up some cigarettes and the male Wawa representative who checked him out made an unnecessary and very rude comment, out loud. He said, "I wish they'd just stop selling cigarettes here." He was very aggravated that he was having difficulty finding the brands my husband was requesting. Their COVID regulations were fine, but what wasn't fine was that they got my order COMPLETELY wrong. I asked for a shorti roll (wheat) with turkey, applewood bacon, provolone, and lettuce. But I ended up getting a white bread with turkey, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and Mayo. I see the billboard and it say WaWa "Found on Food" if this is the case close the doors the food is the worst I have ever seen, went back 3 or 4 times and each time it was just as bad. Chicken tender that looked like frozen Tyson tenders but tasted worse, breakfast sandwich that the egg tasted like a sponge, chicken bites that were dry and hateful, a hot dog that was tasteless, I did get a deli Italian snadwich that might have been ok but beyond that no,no,no terrible. I visited this WAWA for the first time from my trip from the park. I thought I ordered the correct sandwich, but some how the orders/receipts got mixed up or whatever happen. My complaint is not with WAWA as a corporation, but the store manager Elizabeth. I think she could've handled the situation much better instead of making a scene inside the store about a $5 sandwich after I just spent $40. Maybe I did mistakenly ordered the incorrect sandwich, but I don't care who's right or who's wrong. Don't waste my time arguing a point where the CUSTOMER is always right. I usually like to stop in on my way into work, grabs some breakfast, drinks and get gas as needed. I LOVE WAWA, i go to the one in Yorktown (where i live) frequently for everything.The past three times that i have stopped in I have not had the best experience, I have ordered breakfast Paninis (which are delicious) and all three have had issues. Today, there was no meat on my order, I paid for it and the dissatisfaction so early in the morning ruins the whole meal. I can just as easily go up the street to Shorty's Dinner and get a great breakfast,which is what i am going to try next week. I know they are busy in the morning but it takes only a second to make sure that the order in completed correctly. read more
