It's Wawa! What more do you want!?
Alright, well - for those unfamiliar, Wawa is a PA/Mid-Atlantic staple. Calling it a "convenient store" would be an insult - while Wawa is a quick stop for all of your essentials, they also have some quality food that easily surpasses fast food/casual dining joints.
Wawa has your normal selection of snacks and drinks, in addition to other store essentials - bread, milk, donuts, cigarettes, TASTY-KAKES, and doughnuts. Speaking of milk, Wawa's milk is great - A+ for sure. Wawa's store brand everything is delicious for that matter - their iced teas, fruit drinks, and coffee are all good.
Their coffee selection is huge, usually at least 8-10 different pots on at any given time, and they also have a cappuccino machine with some tasty choices. The coffee is very good, though I would still choose Dunkin Donuts over Wawa (sorry Wawa), there is no comparison.
Make sure you grab Gadzooks ice cream. Wawa also has milkshake machines where you can make your own. Yum!
The reason that everyone comes to Wawa, though, is their hoagies - and Wawa has the best. Ordering is super easy. You simply use the touch screens and build your selection with whatever your heart desires. All of their meats and cheeses are wonderful and you can also get a la carte, just like a deli counter. That could certainly save a trip to the grocery store if you only need cold cuts. Their standard sandwich is the shorti, a 6 inch hoagie on italian bread, which now you can also get on wheat. The combinations of meats, cheeses, and condiments are unreal and I have never had one I didn't like. I recommend their smoked turkey or chicken salad. They also have hot options like meatball, prime rib and cheesesteaks.
Be sure to grab a soup or side like mac and cheese as well. The chicken finger bowls are pretty tasty too.
The locations (this one in particular) are very clean and the staff is always nice. This one, right on the Zieglerville circle, also has gas which is a plus and it is on my way to work which doesn't hurt either. This one is definitely in a great spot, as I think that this immediate area is gonna really boom with new businesses in the next few years.
One of the best features of Wawa is that you can get their delicious faire and late night snacks 24 hours a day - perfect for a night owl like myself.
**Make sure you swing through on through during Hoagiefest which typically runs through the beginning of summer. During this time, you can get a featured shorti for only $3.49. A great deal.
